Reviews of Hotels in Leith Edinburgh
Mynameisnina
MynameisninaThe room was spacious and we booked a room good for 3 pax. The receptionist were nice and offer us as well to check in early… we really appreciate that. The location is not in the center but the bus stop is really near to the hostel which is more accessible if you want to roam around the center of Edinburgh.

Anonymous UserAbsolutely fabulous location right in the middle of historic Edinburgh. Easy luggage storage (I arrived early). A free beer during check in. Super clean and comfortable bed pod with everything I needed in it (charging plug, hooks and shelves). It felt private in my pod. Bathroom facilities were spotless with excellent showers. And had a delicious breakfast in the cafe in the AM. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Only drawback is that fellow sleepers seemed to be up and about a few times in the night (dorm door made a noise closing) so sleep was a bit disrupted by this but overall it was still a good stay.
Eugene Mi
Eugene MiI'd never stayed in a hostel before, and my first experience was absolutely amazing. It was incredibly clean and cozy, with a fantastic, fully equipped kitchen and lounge area – perfect for meeting travelers from all over the world. At the same time, the personal space was very well-equipped, and the showers and toilets were convenient. I have to give a special shout-out to the staff – Ingrid explained everything, showed me around, provided helpful instructions, and was always happy to chat in the lounge. Highly recommend!

Anonymous UserA very convenient hotel (close to Tynecastle and Gorgie City Farm station). The hotel is located within a football stadium and just 10mins away from Haymarket station and 20mins away from Princes Street. The hospitality is great by the staffs and the room has nice room interior with daily housekeeping service.
Kloia
KloiaThis is a photo I took at my accommodation in Edinburgh. It was only about a one-minute walk from the station, and most of the main tourist attractions were nearby, which made getting around very convenient.
The only surprise was that I didn’t realise it was a triple bunk bed when I booked it. I booked it without thinking much about the bed setup, so I was a bit caught off guard. As a result, I hit my head a few times!
Other than that, everything was fine. Interestingly, the top bunk (third level) actually looked like the best spot.
Janelovesapple
JanelovesappleThe hotel room and bathroom were indeed too small; there wasn't even enough space to open a suitcase, so it had to be stored under the bed. The view outside the room was decent. The main advantage is the hotel's excellent location, right opposite Haymarket. You can walk almost anywhere, which is incredibly convenient, and there are bus stops right outside. The hotel breakfast was just so-so, with limited variety and options. It was a typical English breakfast, not bad. The reception service was mediocre, especially the male front desk staff who gave me the wrong room number twice, even though I showed him the room number written down. He seemed unbothered and unwilling to help.

Anonymous UserVery very close to the Edinburgh Waverley train station! The location is really convenient, located in the heart of the city. Check in was quick, staff quite nice. Bed is comfortable, and good privacy with the curtains. However, there were hair on the bedsheet. Enough toilet and shower facilities, although some are broken, I had to take a cold water shower.
Guest User
Guest UserThe room was clean; however, it was poorly lit, and the dark wall colors did not help at all. Although we chose a room without windows, we did not expect such poor ventilation or effectively none at all. Our room was located on the ground floor, and there was no reception, while the hotel Wi-Fi also did not work downstairs. Soundproofing was very poor, which contributed to a situation that left us quite dissatisfied.
While my friend was in the common area trying to get a connection, she was disturbed by guests who were clearly intoxicated and were rude and abusive towards her. When I went to get her, I was also sworn at, and we quickly returned to our room to avoid the situation. She also noticed that several people passing through seemed to be familiar with these guests and did not acknowledgethe ongoing situation. Later in the evening, around 21:00, one guest began crying loudly and there was a heated argument between them and another guest. Due to the poor soundproofing, we could hear everything clearly.
We tried contacting reception about the situation, but they did not answer our calls. We felt unsafe leaving the room. Eventually, someone came down and only asked the guests if they were okay, and the situation was left unresolved. The noise continued for quite some time, and our sleep was significantly disturbed. Overall, we felt unsafe staying here.FAQ about Hotels in Anting Station Edinburgh
