I really like Adagio Aparthotels and the Edinburgh location on the Royal Mile is the best I’ve experienced. I liked the layout of the studio I had with a Murphy bed to allow you to change the space as desired. Having a kitchenette allowed me to save money on meals and eat when I felt like it. The laundry facilities were easy to use. I was on the 4th floor and had a stunning view of Arthur’s Seat as I walked to my room. The staff were friendly and helpful and asking them to call a taxi was very easy. Will definitely stay here again when I’m next in Edinburgh. Oh and it’s just a few doors down from the Islander Workshop to put together your own purse (Canongate location) if you decide to do that!

The aparthotel was in a great central location only a walk away from many attractions such as Holyrood palace, arthur's seat, Edinburgh castle etc. It is off the royal mile. There are restaurants at your door stop such as chef bako where I tried a nice street style burger and fried mars bar. The check in was easy. They provide all the ncessary cutlery, there was some milk, tea, sugar coffeez salt and pepper available in the room. You can have daily room cleaning and can also do own laundry as there was a washing machine in the room. It is quiet and not in a noisey location. Negatives: I would say the set up of the toilet wasn't the best in terms of the radiator was really close to the toilet seat so if you were a larger person, you wouldn't comfortably be able to sit on the toilet seat. There weren't any hooks on the toilet door to hand towels. No shower holders in the shower to put shampoo or soap etc. The headboard rest isn”t needed as shortens the length of the bed so your feet come off the end of the bed. These rests are not detachable. Overall with a few adjustments in the room it would be better but I would stay there again because of the location.

Extremely satisfied! The entire place was spotless, and the location was perfect for shopping and getting around. All the facilities were well-maintained, and the staff were friendly, polite, and responsive. Everything exceeded my expectations, and it was excellent value for money.

I found everyone very friendly and helpful, it has a very relaxed vibe about it. It's also very reasonably priced and literally right outside the train station. There is also an associated breakfast place and bar across the road as well as a cafe adjacent where you get discounts as a guest. Special thanks to Tess and Ruta at the front desk for all the extra help and information, not forgetting their kind and friendly natures - (Very important for hospitality roles)

The service was truly exceptional. My first stay was in Manchester, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was fantastic. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it. So, when we saw that this apartment was available in Edinburgh as well, we didn’t hesitate to book it.🤩The Edinburgh Castle can be seen from the hotel’s entrance, and the street scene next to the hotel is also quite beautiful.

The room isn't huge, but it felt cozy overall. The two beds were enough for the three of us. It's not far from the train station, just a few minutes' walk after coming down from North Bridge. Plus, there's a shortcut behind the hotel that leads straight to the Royal Mile in a few minutes, which is super convenient.

Without doubt, this was one of our finest hotel stays in recent memory. From the moment we arrived, Novotel Edinburgh set the tone with a level of warmth and professionalism that genuinely stood out. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout and what really demonstrated this was a small but telling moment: we lost our key card during the stay, and it was replaced immediately, without any fuss or inconvenience whatsoever. It's the kind of effortless service that puts you completely at ease, and it's something you remember long after checkout. The breakfast deserves a special mention — it was simply top notch. The spread was so good that holding back was near impossible, and it's the kind of breakfast that makes you actually look forward to the morning. Freshly prepared, well-stocked, and served with care — it's one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had. The location is outstanding. Sitting just a mile from Edinburgh Castle, you're right in the heart of one of the most iconic cities in the UK. Public transport couldn't be more convenient either  buses are accessible right behind the hotel, making it incredibly easy to get around the city without needing a car at all. The one area that needs addressing is parking. The hotel's own car park is frequently full, which meant we had to use the nearby NCP instead. To the hotel's credit, they did provide a discount for the NCP - a thoughtful gesture that softened the inconvenience. However, it's worth noting for electric vehicle drivers: the EV charging at the NCP is painfully slow, so factor that into your plans if you're arriving in an electric car. A heads-up from the hotel at check-in would go a long way. Parking frustrations aside, Novotel Edinburgh is a brilliant base for exploring the city - exceptional staff, an unmissable breakfast, and a location that's hard to beat. We'd return without hesitation.

The location is fantastic, very central, making it easy to get anywhere. It's surprisingly quiet at night too. There's a lift, so you don't have to lug your luggage, but don't expect any staff to help you with it. The front desk staff seemed more interested in their own conversations and didn't really pay attention to whether you were waiting for them. Service for foreigners is pretty much non-existent. The self-service breakfast was decent and had everything you'd expect.

The room was a bit small for three people, especially with the sofa bed, as there wasn't enough space to open our luggage. However, the hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance of the station. The breakfast is a set menu. The room has air conditioning and an ironing board.

The location of the hotel is invincible (the house in the lower right corner of the second picture). Turn right after exiting the Market Street exit of the train station and walk for one minute. You don’t have to worry about carrying large luggage. When you cross the road, you will see Prince Street Park and Waverley Bridge (where the photo was taken). After crossing the bridge, you will see Prince Street. Turn right and walk for 15 minutes to Calton Hill. Turn right and walk for 3 minutes to the Royal Mile. There are many restaurants along the way. It is very close to the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Castle, and the Art Museum. The staff’s service is very good. When they meet people from non-English speaking countries, they will communicate with guests at a very slow speed. It is also very convenient to store luggage. There is also an airport bus at the door of the hotel.
