Oceanview is an old hotel but its location is good, room is clean & spacious, with a reasonable rate. Upon arrival/entry, you'll immediately see that the hotel needs updating, most especially the reception area. Even the front desk staff's uniform needs to be improved. There are two areas - The Garden Court & the Condominium. The Garden Court has been renovated and is nearer the parking area so I guess this is a good option. It also has a vendo & ice machine on the hallway. There's a nice courtyard, too. I did not see the room here, though, as we were booked in the condo. We tried requesting for a transfer but it was fully booked. The Condo is due for renovation. The common area/hallway was not pleasant at all. As soon as we entered the elevator & got out of it going to our room, we were disappointed. The standard room, however, is large, with 2 queen-sized beds, a big sofa & center table, a refrigerator, small dining table with 2 chairs, a closet, & enough space for the luggages. There is also a pantry with microwave oven & coffee maker. The best part is the nice view of the ocean. We were told that this is the Condominium's advantage over the Garden Court. The room was kept clean. Housekeeping cleaned it daily during the period of our stay, but there was a lingering weird smell in the toilet & bath but not too strong so we were not bothered much by it. The beds are comfortable. Everything really needs updating & refurbishing, though. There are also stains on one corner of our room's ceiling. The TV's remote control was not working when we came in. It had to be replaced because it was not the right one. Good thing service was prompt when requested. We heard renovation on the rest of the hotel will be done soon or have actually started because we could hear some construction work somewhere near our room as early as 9 am, another reason why we requested for transfer to the Garden Court. Nevertheless, we were practically out the entire day so it was just okay. Yes, it's an uphill climb going to the hotel so if you have a problem with it, the best option is to bring/rent a car like we did. It's also recommended in Guam as taxis are expensive and not that easy to flag one. Shuttles are available to & from some tourist attractions & shopping areas but on schedule. Renting a car is easy with the hotel. Just make sure you have your driver's license with you. However, if you're booked at the condo & couldn't get a parking space outside the hotel's main entrance, it would be quite a walk to your room. The hotel has a restaurant. However, it opens late for breakfast. Before we checked out on a Saturday, we wanted to have breakfast but it was still closed & would open at 9 am yet. Locationwise, it's just walking distance to the beach and many restaurants including a 24-hour McDonalds. T Galleria, a duty-free shopping mall, and The Plaza shopping center are also nearby. All in less than a kilometer distance (approx. 500 to 600 meters from the hot

Good Points - Views from the balcony are amazing. - Pool-our son loved the slide and we always managed to get a seat by the pool. -Nature trail had excellent views. -Pool staff were friendly, and efficient. I was impressed that they greeted my son each day by his name. -Free shuttle bus. -Staff in the Premier Lounge were friendly. -Cocktails and wine in lounge good with amazing views. -Car hire good value and easy to arrange in the hotel lobby. -Room cleaned well and well stocked with good quality toiletries. They refilled water every day, to contradict previous reviews. -Eggs cooked to order in the Lounge for breakfast. To improve - Room dated. Stains on the carpet and decor dated. Noisy A/C I have stayed at other Nikkos so expected more. -The tone set at check in. List of rules that gave the impression that customers were in the wrong. A very high holding deposit, the highest I have ever paid. The room also had various rules posted that you would not expect in a quality hotel. - Pool bar needs a massive refurbishment. The chairs had no cushions and the drink selection was poor. -Very long queues for the Lounge breakfast so get there early. I was also surprised this ended at 10 and the main breakfast buffet ended at 930. Overall, a relaxing stay but the hotel and facilities need updating.

Due to the hurricane that hit part of the Hawaii state, my United flight to Guam arrived after my connecting flight to Manila had already left. So I looked online and found this hotel to be moderately priced for a last minute booking and since I was only going to be in Guam for less than 12 hours this hotel seemed like the great choice. Distance from airport: I am not sure the distance but it took about 15 minutes in the taxi and it was about $25 for the taxi fare. Since I arrived on a Saturday night at 8:30 there was no traffic. Location: As others have said, the great thing about the Tumon Bay Capital hotel is the location. It is about a 10 minute walk to a main shopping area. Just a warning the hotel is on a hill so the walk might be kind of tiring for some of you. Especially me who was in jeans, tshirt on a humid night. The shopping area has several restaurants, including the Hard Rock Café, McDonalds, and other stores. I thought it looked like Waikiki in Hawaii with the Outrigger hotel and the ABC stores, which has some overly priced drinks and food. I did notice a water park next to the hotel. Due to my late arrival and early departure I was not able to fully experience this area. I also noticed various other hotels (Outrigger, Westin, Hyatt), but I cannot tell you how far those hotels were from the shopping area. Checking In and Lobby Area: I guess since it was about 9:30 pm when I arrived there was no one at the registration desk. Just when I was about to ring the bell a person came out from the back and asked if I wanted to check in. I said yes and after getting my information he gave me the room key. Unlike other hotels, this hotel still uses a key to open the door versus a card or your phone. My impression of the lobby is a basic hotel. The lobby is open, not air conditioned and there was some old looking furniture. I guess you can say the lobby was a great preview of the room. Room: The room I was assigned had two beds and the room reminded me of the older hotels I used to stay at with my parents in the 70's. The room reminds me of the saying, "You get what you pay for." Don't get me wrong, the room was perfect for me since I was only staying one night but if I was there for more than two nights I would probably choose a different hotel. The room had a small refrigerator and the bed was a little hard for me. There was some cracked areas in the tub. The closet hangers was a mixed bag of different ones, it looked like travelers left their old ones. The room looked like it was not renovated anytime recently. The great thing about the room was the wifi, I had to download an app on my ipad and the wifi was pretty quick. I am not sure how quick it will be to download a movie. Checking Out: Checking out was a breeze since I left at 4:00 am and I was the only guests. Transportation to the Airport: It is a good idea to make arrangements with the receptionist the day before because there is no taxi service that drives by th

I saw various reviews before that made me feel uneasy when I was scheduled, but I really stayed there and felt very different. Here are my feelings: 1. wifi problem, I saw comments saying that there was no wifi. I was particularly hesitant at that time. I still bought a phone card before leaving for Bao. In fact, there is free wifi in the lobby room. There is really no need to spend money! Quite easy to use! 2. This hotel is divided into the main building and the next floor. The main building is not high, probably only a few floors, and the side is higher. Ctrip is set to be cheap. There is no fixed main building and fixed garden view room. Although the fourth floor, it is unexpected. Due to the construction of the house, I could see the sea. Besides the sea view room in the main building, this side floor could see the sea view. Although it was a half sea view, it surprised me too. 3. There is a Chinese service here, it is not absent, there is a small sign on the front desk that says Chinese service, please press **** (4 digits inside), and there will be a Chinese service. I want to talk about this in particular. My car was wiped at the outlet because I bought a Ctrip insurance and the police had to prove it. I did n’t speak English well and did n’t know how to call the police. I drove the car back to the hotel and asked for help I broadcasted the extension, and then the Chinese service explained the situation. People were really helpful. I asked the colleague at the front desk to call the police. After waiting for 50 minutes, the police came, and the front desk also called me (in fact, I was already communicating with the police). At the hotel's front desk, I called the room to ask how the communication was going. Communicating, each other's English is not good), but this service is absolutely nothing to say, thank you so much! 4. Once I went to sea in the morning, I put the water cup on a table in the lobby. When I came back, I asked the front desk with a try attitude. They said yes, they called the service staff to bring it, and the quilt was wrapped in a plastic bag No, the staff asked me to confirm the order and then took away the cup! 5. This hotel opened in the 70's and was renovated once in the 90's. If it's decoration, it's definitely not as good as domestic. It's been years, but Guam hotels are basically old and the price is not cheap, this price is already very good Already. I live comfortably, and there are comments that there is no tip or cleaning. This is absolutely nothing. The waiter cleans every afternoon, especially the toiletries. 6. The parking lot is large, there are many cars but there must be a place to park, saying that the hotel does not bear any management responsibility, but there is actually monitoring. 7. Finally, I checked out on the day I checked out and found that there was actually a microwave oven on the first floor to heat up the food I bought, but I did n’t know it before. I wrote a lot, this hotel is cost-effective, there is a balcony to dry clothes, it is still highly recommended ~

The hotel is old. Everything is either broken or dirty. The bed is decent, aircon works good, shower was more like tap water, cabinet's doors were broken and fridge not working. There is a weak wifi, no lift so you have to carry your stuff up in stairs. Rather than that, the hotel stuff are super nice, willing to help, kind, and keen to help. I got a rented car from the reception at $45 per day including tax and insurance. I came at 6am and was told that I can get early to my room for only $30 which was great. I would not recommend for families with small children or old people, but for those who come for a short visit, transit or even a day or two - good place for a good price. It also near by the main beach.

It was my first visit to Guam and I have to tell you that you have great team members in your property. As you know, due to the Corona issues I had many incidents in my previous stay. When check in, Maria who works in Club floor helped me showing several room types with shining smile. And she made great efforts at the check out time when I asked extension of my stay without paying if possibe even though it really bothered her. Your Room Manager, Yina reminded me of my older sister. She really cared me willingly like family members when selecting my room type. I could feel at home talking in our mother tongue not in English. Roma who also works in Club floor managed my dinner reservation very carefully even in crowded Club lounge desk. And General Manager Mr. Nick Song finally gave me a perfect vacation. Because of the cancellation of my flight I had to stay longer in Guam than expected. However as the Governor issued lock down in whole Guam I had no places to go to. Mr. Song showed me generosity that I could stay in my room until my flight and it meant a lot to me because I was so tired and frustrated. I have heard good reputations about your property from my friends such as perfect locations, nice beaches, good f&b. However the real pros that you have are your team members. Your sincereness and kindness shine like the sun in Tumon beach. I cannot wait to see you once again.

we stayed for a night only due to our flight got cancelled. upon checkout me and my partner encountered front desk staff that is wearing glasses, long hair and kind of chubby we checked out early morning. She obviously did not know what she was doing, we already told her that a company is paying for our stay and she can charge the credit card they have provided. She still insisted to have a copy of our own credit card. she talks to her co workers rudely and yells at them when they are just trying to help her and us. On the other hand, Camille apologizes for the mistake her coworker have done. She then just verified if my partner's credit card and when she found out it was not his's own she already let us go and apologizes for the inconvenience. Also, the rooms are ugly. It is not well maintained and they just patch up the problems and they do not repair. I even heard one of the workers talking to the girl on the radio and he said they can not fix problem due to they do not have parts. Things like this needs to be confidential but guests can hear it as they walk through the hallways.
