The room is clean and tidy, the staff can speak Chinese, and communication is easy. The most important thing is that you can cook, and the kitchen utensils and gas are all included. I am not used to eating out, so I can just buy some ingredients and cook them when I come back. The overall experience is great, I am very satisfied!

Loved this hotel, the rooms are big, very clean and well equipped with everything you need for comfort. Everything is well maintained and very clean. The food is reasonably priced, drinks are a bit expensive, but the bar is beautiful. It has many nice spaces to sit if you don't want to sit in your room. I had to do some work during my stay and it had plenty of nice seats. The location is good because its only a short walk to the city center.

I had a great one-night stay at Lylo. Comfortable and affordable private room with private bathroom, my room had a window. Check in and check out went smooth, there's a nice restaurant/bar in the hostel, and the location is good to walk around the downtown, quite close to the bus stop to the airport as well.

Arrived at the hotel late and there was no lots available. Same situation the next morning but the receptionist was kinder to let me park at the lot near the carpark shutter. Super grateful for that as I have other belongings in the car that I couldn't shift to the hotel room. The hotel aircon cooler wasn't checked before our check-in, so the water leaked from the cooler on our first night of stay. On our second night, we approached another receptionist to ask about laundromat nearby the hotel. She guided us to a 24hr laundromat that was non-existent. It was a wasted trip. And no, I will not be back.

The hotel's location is quite convenient, close to both the University of Auckland and the city center, and you can even see the Sky Tower. Hainan Airlines crews also stay here. Overall, it's pretty good. The front desk initially gave me a key card for a room that was already checked into, which was a bit startling when I opened the door. Thankfully, it was resolved amicably afterward, so I'm still quite satisfied.

I only stayed the one night at this clean and comfortable hotel but could have stayed longer with the free upgrade I was given upon my arrival.All the staff I came across from managers, reception to waiters were very helpful and happy. The service was incredible and the food impeccable from the Trocadero Restaurant & Bar on the ground floor of the hotel. Only a 4 star hotel, you will receive 5 star luxury from the smiling staff who are eager to serve. Thank you to all the staff who made my stay valuable.

I originally booked this hotel on agoda, however as the reception told us that they cant find our booking as we reached them, and she told us that agoda made a mistake on the address of the hotel I booked (which is their sister hotel, on Hobson St) under their address! At last we made a new booking to stay here with trip.com, as the condition of the other Hotel Grand Chancellor was HORRIBLY OLD! Hope the hotel management will fix this issue with agoda ASAP!! Otherwise, this new Chancellor hotel is perfect!

It is near the CBD area, it was an old hotel and I got a very old room with renovations ongoing besides it. The hotel was quite full but they managed to change to a much smaller room without renovations noises. My friend book the same type of room but was luckily to get a better room at the newer tower. There wasn’t any option to choose when booking so didn’t realise we are booking an old room at the old tower. The service at the reception was still good and they tried to change to a bigger room for me which I had actually booked but since it was still an old room, I was too tired to change again. Forgot to take actual photos of it as initially I wasn’t thinking of reviewing it since it wasn’t so ideal.

My second time staying in this hotel. The room was huge, with all necessary facilities in good condition. The fridge, microwave and electric kettle are quite handy. The location is very convenient, both for sightseeing and for getting to and from the airport. The largest and cheapest supermarket in the area (Woolworths) is also just a few hundred meters away. The only issue was a bit of noise from the traffic outside, but not too bad. Overall, great value for money.

had to book a lastmin overnight stay due to flight delay. Can take yellow bus or an Uber to the hotel. Price is the same if you are 2 adults. Note that no supermarket near the hotel but the restaurant inside is surprisingly good and affordable. No complaint. Room is just standard and clean.

Was a good stay. Fair for the price.  Best part was the easy late check in and key lock box ect.  Amenities were slightly underwhelming as it had plates bowls cutlery ect but no place to wash them, also could do with a decent size bin considering you need to eat take out. Other than that it was a clean tidy room with plenty of space and place to put luggage. New towels everyday ect which is a nice to have. Would stay again

The view from the balcony is amazing. You can see the sunrise from the balcony in the morning. The view from the breakfast room is also great. It was far beyond my expectations, and the service was also very good. The staff helped with parking. I will stay here again next time!!!

I am travelling with family with kids and elderly. The grand is probably the best central location that you can find in Auckland if you are taking public transport. The pickup and dropoff for Skybus to Auckland airport is a 5 min walk away. The surrounding has plenty of restaurants including japanese & Chinese food. Facilities wise it has a gym and a heated swimming pool which the kids enjoy. Room is clean & spacious. Hotel price wise is on a high but weighing all the plus points, I will book it again for all the reasons above.

I have stayed here before and had a good experience. Which made me come back... however this time we were placed in a room directly underneath the restaurant. So late evening and early morning we were able to hear shoes clapping chairs dragging and the occasional banging. Not great for a restful restorative sleep! We also had no internet access in the room! And strangely... although check out time was 10 am we had a cleaner knock on our door and attempt to enter before 9am... and ask us when we were leaving! felt a little rushed! I did mention these apon leaving to reception it was blown off as unimportant and suggested I request a different room next time. Not really the kind of service and support I would expect sorry guys

This room can only be described as huge. It has a large living room and a large 180-degree balcony. It has a washing machine and a dryer. It is perfect for the last night before leaving New Zealand. DFS is downstairs. Shopping is very convenient. You need to verify your identity when entering and exiting the garage. It is absolutely safe.

The location is very good, just cross the street (5 mins walk) reach bus terminal for airport. The size of the room is big. But the counter service is not 24/7, found inconvenience if check-in after the service hour. It was said that the code was sent to me, but I could not receive through SMS when overseas, and the hotel had not sent me any email. Very frustrated when I reached the hotel after a long journey. In addition, I could not find switch for the fan in the bathroom.

This hotel was recommended by my friend who used to work here. I requested a high floor and it was granted so the room’s view of the harbor is 🤩 (12th floor Social King Room). It’s the first time that a radio was turned on as I entered the room. I even thought my next room neighbor’s music was that loud. I didn’t expect it that you can slide the door from the toilet so you can have a full view of the harbour. I liked the room very much. Thankful that I was allowed to check in early. Appreciate it a lot! I intentionally left my puffy jacket and left a note about it. Whoever owns it now, please take care of it. I’ll be back when I go back to Auckland.
