Great location!! The staff was welcoming and helpful! Check in and out was super quick. Had a problem with our car in the valet that they misplaced the keys but they did everything they could to find it and didn’t charge us for the service which was really nice. Overall was great! Wow, how to begin. The hotel and rooms are quite beautiful and the never ending view along the river with the almost constant movement of gigantic ships, is mesmerized. The location is also perfect with enough restaurants and shops within close proximity that you can find plenty to keep occupied even on the occasional rainy day. Now, with all that said, a caveat to any travelers wanting any semblance of rest. The second floor rooms are pure nightmare. There appears to be some sort of a supply room on that floor. The staff likes to use it for rather loud gossip and partying and when not in use by the staff, there apparently is a bowling league practice in there! The noise from tables and chairs and dishes being moved around at times even late into the night is just aggregating! The walls offer absolutely NO help in reducing the racket. Would we return to River Street Inn again? YES! As a matter of fact, we can't wait to return but, only if we would be guaranteed a room on the 4th or 5th floor!

Globalist. Got the suite upgrade, which was great. Breakfast had stellar options, including blueberry bourbon pancakes and chicken and waffles. Pool area is relaxing, gym is on the smaller side, but has everything you'd need (including a Peloton, yay!). Valet parking only, but comp'd for Globalists. Service was impeccable, with special kudos to Front Desk Manager Ebony. The location of this hotel is what makes it the must-stay spot. You're right on Ellis Square, so central to everything. Highly recommend while staying in Savannah.

First let me state I have ZERO clue why anyone would rate this hotel as anything other than a terrible rating!! The owners of this hotel should be ASHAMED!! It’s completely run down and nothing that you should expect in a major tourist city of a boutique hotel in a historic district!! Nothing against the management or all of the staff here who are very kind and do their best to accommodate requests; but the hotel is run down, so dirty down in the mezzanine area where a main toilet is for guests; the lobby when we first walked in had litter around the rugs and the furniture was so dusty!! That was my first impression and I should have listened to instinct and canceled our stay instead of waiting for our room to be ready. I did comment on how unkempt and dirty the lobby was to the front desk and that I hoped that our room would be clean. We then left for a few hours to walk around and eat. Impression of the immediate surrounding area wasn’t any better. You’re right by the beautiful and historic Olde Pink House and Reynolds Square and the streets are filthy, covered in cigarette butts and litter, and the park immediately across the street is filled with people from the homeless shelter right down the block. They were all very respectful, however this was unexpected. Upon return the lobby had been cleaned at least and we were shown to our room. Our luggage had been stored and when brought back, there was a large yellow stain on my suitcase. The walls in the mezzanine are yellow so I have zero clue if storage does and if so, how this stain appeared that looks like the paint. We stayed in one of the two balcony rooms that overlook the park. The room next to us had the door wide open and fans running to air out what I can only assume was the extreme mustiness that greeted us in our completely run down room, with old disgusting carpet I would never walk on in bare feet; the most uncomfortable squeaky bed with a huge dip in the middle, pillows that felt like they were stuffed with peas, and bedding that while clean, was pilled and also ancient in appearance. It only gets worse from there with the poorly lit bathroom that you can’t see to do your makeup; a toilet that when you flush it you could get sucked down into it and if you don’t close it before you flush, you’ll get all sprayed with whatever you just put into it; ancient paint that looks like it has veins growing under it and is bubbled and marred; the most uncomfortable towels that aren’t soft; a floor I again didn’t want to walk on in bare feet; and a shower/tub combo that fills with water as you shower and again looks dirty, but is just so old there’s no way to scrub the dinginess out of it. The ‘balcony’ is shared and had two small iron tables with chairs and was covered in old bird poop. Again, you overlook the square instead of the loud parking garage on this side, but the view of the square isn’t as expected, plus the patio door sticks; doesn’t seem secure when locked; and the windows ar

The rooms and the apartment were great. You couldn't have had a better location. Going to Trip.com was terrible. We were not given an access code even though it said the hotel has a reception. We had to walk to a coffee shop that had wifi to even open the booking and then call customer service which cost me €30 because I'm from the EU. Trip.com didn't give us any info.

As a couple we needed to work remotely for a few days. The Residence Inn was perfect! The two room set up gave us plenty of space, with and a bright and pleasant decor in the room, and good wi-fi. The kitchen set up allowed us to make meals and save money. We enjoyed the fitness center and heated pool. Breakfast gave us healthy options. And, all of the staff were friendly.

Staff were exceptional--everyone from front desk staff to the bartender and breakfast staff. All very nice and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and had what we needed. They don't have a gym on site but have a relationship with a local gym for hotel guests (if that matters to you). We were able to walk into the downtown area and felt safe doing so (about .5 miles from our hotel) but they also offer a shuttle with a very lovely driver who took great care of us! I would recommend this hotel if staying in Savannah.

We have stayed here with a family of several generations from 2 years up to 80 years old for a family reunion trip. We chose the hotel for the pool and proximity to the huge playground right across the street and were happily surprised to also find a grocery store for baby items right behind the hotel. The food at the restaurant was one of the best food we had in years. The pool, the proximity to everything, the modern new design, and the treasure hunt for the kids was just amazing for our family. The kids loved it here and were sad to leave. There were some smaller issues with the rooms but the staff was so incredible. Things can happen, right? That’s when a business truly shows its true colors in the way it handles matters. The Bardo staff blew my mind, and I can’t remember a restaurant or hotel were every single person you encounter was amazing and just wants to make things right. From Omar who really made us feel so welcome to the manager who is just as incredible. I rarely give hotels 5 stars but this one deserves it. Families are not only welcome here but will truly enjoy their stay. Thanks to Omar again for playing with my son while we talked to front desk. He also fixed my son’s broken plane. Omar made this a 5 star hotel in our eyes. We will stay here again when we visit Savannah next year and also give other Bardo hotels a try.

My family was driving from DC to Florida and decided we should overnight somewhere. We walked in and was able to book a room quick an easy. It was a great location- Tanger outlets/ other shopping options a few minutes away/ 20 minutes from River street. Lots of free parking. The hotel lobby/ breakfast area was clean, room was a decent size and clean as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. With two kids, we try to stay in hotels with free breakfast and the breakfast here was just right- variety of pastries, waffles, eggs, sausages, cereals, juice/ milk. We would definitely return here if we visit the area again.

The hotel is located on the edge of the historic district, so it is a quick 10-15 minute walk to either River Street or even Forsyth Park. Even the standard suites are larger than most other similar properties. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were above average. All employees from the front desk to the breakfast servers and cleaning staff were very pleasant and friendly. Rated lower in the facility category as the outside landscaping by the sidewalks was **** filled and over grown. This really detracted from the exterior appearance. The fitness was large and has a good amount of cardio equipment but only had one, torn workout bench, no area/mats for core work and the hand weights were missing all 20lb and 25lb pairs. There should be other strength training options. The breakfast food options were presented in an attractive manner with good over all quality.

It is said to be the most historic hotel in Savannah. Once you enter the hotel, you can feel its classical elegance. The doorman is very enthusiastic and the front desk service is very attentive. We arrived too early, the room had not been sorted out, and we specially left our phone. We noticed that we had checked in when the room came out. In the lobby and other family procedures, I also specially brought free mineral water. The room is wooden and the furniture is old furniture. Have a strong sense of art. It is worthy of being a hotel in the city of Savannah with a strong artistic atmosphere.

Located just 5 minutes away from Savannah Airport, this is a great place to stay if you either want great value or need a quick layover to another destination. The hotel is clean, the staff is both friendly and helpful. While I only saw one elevator. It seemed to handle the needs of the hotel nicely. Our room was spacious and came with a small kitchenette with toaster, range too, microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. The bathroom was clean. The shower worked well though it takes a while for the water to get hot. The bed was firm and comfortable. Got restful sleep and got the back support I needed. Small air-conditioned exercise room with two treadmills, elliptical, and bench with some weights. I like the thick double-paned windows; kept our room super quiet.

As a Savannah local, we can’t say enough about the Desoto and its staff. We evacuated from the islands for Hurricane Ian and were fortunately granted a safe stay-cation in our beautiful city. We loved that the hotel was pet friendly so we could bring our sweet pup, Miss Lady, with us. She had a wonderful time as the staff and guests were most attentive. Our room was lovely and well appointed. The hotel itself is beautiful, has great onsite amenities, and frankly, you can’t beat its central location. Walk either direction along Bull Street and you are right where you want to be. Thank you Mitch, Becky, and all of the spectacular hospitality team at the Desoto. Highly recommend!

The house is historical and has a warmth and charm that makes you feel you are in the old south. The breakfasts were delicious and they were very gracious about accommodating my gluten intolerance. My husband got to enjoy the evening parlour snacks of bread pudding and pineapple upside down cake. Thanks to the very talented on-site chef. The indoor air conditioner is a shortcoming, the noise is very loud, if the automatic mode is set, it will stop very quiet for a while, and suddenly start the sound like a tractor for a while, which affects the rest at night. (While I'm giving the property Hilton Garden Inn Savannah management a ZERO rating, the Hilton Executive Office deserves the top rating for its responsiveness and quality of communication). I've spent one night at the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown on July 9th-10th. I stayed with my parents (in their 70s) in the same room. While the state of the property is sub-standard given the brand name and the room rate, I'm not gonna comment on that. When I got home from the trip, in addition to the $216 charge that I was expecting, I noticed another $267.50 charge. Thinking that there must be a mistake, I called the hotel the same day to inquire about it, to be told that the charge is for ”smoking in the room”. Knowing that no one in our group smokes, I asked for clarifications for something that at best was a mistake on the part of the property. The hotel operator told me that I need to speak to the manager, Joshua Matthews. On July 13th and July 14th, 2022, I called the hotel for a total of 6 times and left 3 messages to the manager Joshua Matthews, indicating the reason and details of my problem and my phone number where I can be reached. To this day, I have not heard back from the hotel. I escalated the issue with the Hilton Executive Office, that called me within 24 hours and clarified the issue, promising me to reimburse the smoking charge. To be clear, the refund will come from the Executive Office, because apparently the property at Garden Inn Savannah Midtown continued to refuse to refund me the smoking charge. So I am going to get my money back, but I find disturbing that an entity that has your credit card information can just charge you random fees and refuse to even talk to you afterwards. While at first I was inclined to think that this may have been an honest mistake, I am more convinced now that it was deliberate, so if you chose to stay here I'd advise 1. to pay with a credit card, 2. to get the room inspected at checkout and 3. to keep an eye on your credit card statement.

This Hyatt offers attractive, clean suite-type rooms, a decent ”grab and go” breakfast, and a convenient location near the airport. However, the place is excessively noisy. We were put in a room right across from a meeting room in which a class was held from 8-10 pm. The attendees were loud, showing no consideration for the guests who were trying to sleep a few feet away. Then, a group of about a dozen young men gathered in the parking lot outside of our room, talking and shouting and laughing until after 2:00 a.m.! The hotel made no effort to get them to be quiet or to leave. Needless to say, we got very little sleep before our 6-hour drive home the next day. I also think their $75 pet fee is excessive. At least part of that should be refundable if the dog doesn't create any mess or problems. We won't stay there again.

Interesting experience. This Red Roof wasn't the worst place I have ever stayed... but it definitely wasn't the best either. The man at the front desk was nice enough and explained how to get to our room well. The room itself very much needed some TLC. The negatives would be: the lamp shades had grey paint splatter all over them, the outlet in the bathroom didn't work, the shower looked like the kind you needed to wear crocks or something in so you didn't get a foot fungus, the air filters in the PTAC unit were almost completely stopped up (gross), and the WI-FI was very spotty to connect to. The positives would have been: floors that were not carpet (thank God), the TV worked good, a mini fridge and microwave were in the room, plenty of space for luggage and hang up clothes, the beds were very comfortable (I slept like a baby), and the main positive was the price wasn't that bad for the time of year. Overall, I would say stay here if you can't find a better priced option within a decent distance from the Historical District, and you are not going to be staying in the room much.

I stood here for one night before moving to downtown Savannah and a historic hotel there. I have to say I enjoyed my time at the HIE more than the other hotel in the area. The bed was probably the most comfortable I slept in in a hotel in a long time. It usually takes me a long time to fall asleep in a new bed but no problems here. The location is really good, near the mall and major roadways. The staff is friendly. The room was fairly large and spacious. There was a wedding party staying there for the weekend but there was still plenty of parking. The only major downside was the price of $300 for a night. Crazy for a HIE but it looks as if other properties in the area charge that for a weekend stay so must be a Savannah thing. Would stay again.
