Greetings esteemed reviewers, it is with great dismay that I pen this review to share my recent experience at the Conrad Orchard Singapore which was well below expectation. This isn't my first time to stay here. In a previous review, I had bestowed upon the hotel a rating of four stars and had made mention of the General Manager's name, Oscar Postma, as a mild critique of their performance. My stay had been quite wonderful, albeit marred by their proclivity towards complacency in providing minor special requests. However, I found myself the subject of ill-treatment at the hands of the hotel's personnel. Their behavior was nothing short of bullying, as they proceeded to pursue punitive measures against my top-tier membership in their esteemed chain of hotels, ultimately resulting in its suspension. The road to reinstatement was replete with challenges, and I was disconcerted by their unseemly conduct, which seemed to be directed towards punishing me for my candid review. It is my duty to warn other fellow reviewers that these individuals are not to be mistaken for gentlemen of standing and refinement, but rather, they utilize tactics that are more in line with the mindset of a thug, targeting those who dare to voice their concerns. Any potential guest at the Conrad Orchard Singapore should be prepared to navigate such hostility. In summation, I find the behavior of the hotel's personnel to be wholly unacceptable, and I would caution any prospective guests to prepare themselves accordingly. It is my sincere hope that this review serves as a warning to all who might consider a stay at this establishment.

We arrived at 3.05pm to check in, at 3.15pm, the service staff said our room is not ready and is still under housekeeping. I have kindly ask for a late checkout the next day given that at 3.20pm, i am still at the hotel lobby waiting for my room. The check in counter said that late check out is not possible, and I was asked if I’m Marriott platinum member, which will allow me to have late checkout. I don’t quite understand why there was a differentiated treatment. I have to give a very unhappy face and persist my stand to the staff to give me a late check out and eventually she gave me 1230pm and I insisted at 1pm. I was given my room key at 3.45pm. The next day I received a call at 1220pm asking if we are checking out at 12pm… when I already given 1pm late checkout. The service of check in and getting a late check out is not really not up my expectation given is St Regis and the room I paid was not very cheap at $740 per night.

We stayed here as we felt that having more space would be easier with two young children. The hotel itself is again very dated which shocked us a little due to the price you are paying. The staff are very helpful and ordered taxis when we requested them. The facilities within the hotel such as having a washing machine and dryer in the basement which was free to use and didn't require any products is very helpful and was used often. There is also a washer and dryer on every floor but you need to supply the products for that one - which we didn't feel was viable for such a short stay. Our 2 bed apartment was very spacious and well looked after by the housekeeping team. We weren't able to use the pool as this was down for maintenance but we did go to the hotel pool which was lovely but a little dated. I would have preferred there to be less inconsistencys within the hotel for example one breakfast we had at the buffet we weren't charged for our 6 year old but for our second trip we were which was a little confusing.

This is the first time i encounter such problem. I have paid for Valley Wing Shangri-La in Sept 2022 for this room. Upon check in i was told the booking was not found. The kind front desk lady Frances went all the way to call Trip.com for me and even asked the manager to help to speak to Trip.com while getting me a drink at the lounge. I really appreciate the help by her and the staff in Shangri-la. Ended up, i was being booked in the tower wing . Luckily Trip.com staff called me and compensated me with the coins but honestly, the damage was done. My waiting time and it was supposed to be a belated anniversary celebration with my guy in Valley Wing. I really hoped this would be the last time such incident happened. As for Valley Wing room, it was spacious and the perks are the afternoon tea, evening canapes and premium breakfast in their Summit room. It was great based on my last few stays there. Of course this time round i did not get to enjoy all that thanks to Trip.com.

We recently stayed in a two bedroom apartment (2A &2C) and my mother stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Highly recommend this location to stay. Apartments were well maintained, guest services helped organising taxis if needed. Complimentary breakfast had variety. My children loved the pool and swam every day. The garden surroundings were lush and green. I would definitely stay here again

Very clean, modern and comfortable. Lounge access came with our card with vending machines and a massage chair. Allowed early check in. Free shuttle bus. 10-15min walk to Orchard Road and two different MRT stations which give accessibility everywhere. Free breakfast of fresh fruit and pastries on weekdays. Well equipped gym. Nice cold aircon. Welcome basket with some local goodies to try. We didn’t have a washing machine in our room but there was one in the ba*****t (though was quite expensive at $10 a load but huge machines - comes with detergent and softener). $30 taxi to the airport.

The hotel is very new, and the sanitation services are good. Unfortunately, there is no Chinese service. I used my poor English to have a difficult conversation, but I was able to complete it smoothly. The room has a high ceiling and a relatively exquisite balcony. The room card is a wooden card, which is a bit special. The whole hotel has a sense of design and is a masterpiece of a master. Especially the swimming pool on the roof, which is not inferior to Jinsha. The layering of the lights and the facade gives people a visual impact. There is also a swimming pool with suspended glass. It is really interesting to dive into the water and look at the ground~ Breakfast is a set meal ordering form. They are all good, and there is a pancake-like fruit that is super delicious! It is highly recommended to stay, of course it is best if you can speak some English. Otherwise it is difficult to communicate.

I find this property very difficult to rate we had high expectations. I guess we looked at the room rates and we just figured there would be a lot more to offer the property is very minimalistic. Can’t say much about the staff because the hotel is so new but they definitely need more experienced management for sure, I’m a Titanium Elite member so I did get an upgrade to their basic suite. The rooms and the property has no sound insulation so you can hear everything in the hall everything in the rooms next-door to you for that reason alone I would not return. I was told if I wanted further upgrade I could use my suite Night awards they have a promo going on But then was told after ,we don’t control that Marriott controls that which I know they do but it did say it was available but what they had done after me requesting about 10 times for the upgrade instead of honoring what they said they gave it to someone else two hours prior to check and bragged about it see below I did ask the management what I did wrong Anything? Or what do I have to do next time? But like I said the management is very new and inexperienced so I didn’t get much benefit of asking that question I think it’s an overpriced property in my opinion they won’t survive not at the rates I see some rates entry-level thousand dollars $1200 depending on the dates, no way in a million years is this property command those kind of dollars we come to Singapore 3-4 times a year we stay around 80 nights I won’t be visiting this property again anytime soon. as well Not crazy about the location and if it rains you’re at luck we didn’t try the restaurant there wasn’t much on the menu Have a look at it so I can’t comment on that, no buffet breakfast included no lounge just don’t see the value at all, but if you want your milk because they don’t leave milk in the room for your coffee, I suggest you order it an hour in advance. Check out is 12:00 to me a 2 star or 3 star has 12:00 check out.the spa is basic very small only few people can fit in jacuzzi, maybe three in the Steam and the bathroom utensils or something you would see again in the two or three star hotel again very disappointing.PS before you go to bed check that they’ve left coffee or sugar in your room so that way when you get up in the morning and you find there’s nothing there you won’t have to wait an hour to get it. It’s hard to believe they don’t even leave milk in the room. You have to call up for it every morning.

Clean and spacious hotel Cleanliness: - In terms cleanliness, the room is immaculate. No physical signs of dust settling anywhere in the room. - The floor are mostly carpeted and clean. Amenities: - Room was unfortunately not equipped with smart tv. International channels are very limited and the connection is slow. - Room is very spacious. Suitable to bring guests for card games. - The view from the room is unobstructed. Concierge staff are helpful. This capsule hotel budget-wise is recommendable. The location is great and 5 minutes away from the metro station. I have taken the mixed capsule. I did not expect much because of the price but I stuttered with disappointment when I was there. I availed myself of a stay with free breakfast for 5 days and in these 5 days, never I had tried and seen any food. What I saw are leftovers kept uncleaned. I usually wake up at 5-6 am because I have a conference by 7 am. By that time, no food on the counter. The toilets were furthermore small and crowded. No social distancing or infection control practices. The spaces are cluttered, unkempt, and unmaintained. I have raised the issue to an Agoda representative who told me that I should have the breakfast inclusion. Still, the next day, no breakfast was there. I planned to talk to the reception but most of the time, staff are not present there.

Please read - IMPORTANT about Campbell Inn: My 3 tourist friends from overseas have encountered potential scamming of tourists at this Campbell Inn. They have lodged a police report and contact Singapore Tourism Board and CASE in regards to this case. Hope by doing so, it will prevent the owner of Campbell Inn from cheating other tourists and disgracing Singapore as a safe country again. My 3 friends were ignorant of the various Google negative reviews of Campbell Inn and booked two nights with the Inn. However it seems that they have been scammed. It was their first visit to Singapore and she emailed and they tried to call the Inn several times without getting a proper response from the Inn. They wanted to inform the Inn about the late timing that they would be reaching the Inn. However as the Inn was uncontactable for a proper response, the 3 tourists decided to check-in physically at the premises. The Inn was obviously unsafe as it was occupied by alot of migrant workers in the premises and look more like a illegal foreign worker dormitory. The 3 tourists were initially informed by the receptionist that their room were given to other workers and were even asked to stay together with the male workers in the same room. They realized that these workers were wearing scantily (only sarongs) in the room and some of them appears to be drunk. The 3 tourists refused and left the Inn immediately feeling the whole situation was not right and unsafe. However they were left stranded on the streets in the middle of the night. My friends credit card was deducted for the nights which they did not stay in the Inn. They believed that the Inn management have planned this scam in such a manner that they can easily cheat the tourists who did not know the actual ground situation of the Inn. Also suspect several of these workers may be overstayers without legal work permits as they seems to be staying there for a long time. The Inn is definitely not a safe place for tourists to stay in. The practice of this Inn not only causes distress to the overseas visitors but also shame us Singaporeans which our country projected a very safe reputation to visitors from all over the world. The matter has been reported to relevant Singapore authorities.

I stayed here in early December 2022 for a few nights. In general, this hostel is very conveniently located. It is only 4-minute walk from the Downtown Line MRT station. It is the same station that has the closest ATMs. The hostel requires you to pay your balance using cash. If you want to pay by card, there is an additional 3% charge and you'd have to walk to their sister hostel to use their card machine. The sister site is on another street but they claim it's just a 5-minute walk. Also, if you want to print anything or use a microwave, you'd have to walk across the street to the Chic Hostel to do so since this one doesn't have it. There is a fridge but no microwave. The good thing is that they do your laundry, within the same day if you tell them to, for $12. The dorms on the 4th floor did not have a lock on the door so it didn't feel secure from anyone else who may decide to wonder up there. They did have a key card for the individual lockers though. There's only one outlet by your bed so I'd recommend getting an adapter with multiple USB ports or something. The 4th and 3rd floors share a 2-stall shower and toilet combo which was a tight squeeze and a bit moldy, which probably cannot be helped with such humid climates. Only bodywash was available in the showers. Each toilet come with its own handheld bidet. I just wished that the restrooms had paper towels to dry your hands. I did like that each bed had its own TV with Netflix and headphones (even though I never used it). The A/C runs all night which is great. I also liked that eac bed has their owne privacy curtains as well as their own drying rack and clothes hangers.

I don't recommend this hotel or value holidays to Singapore anymore as it is too expensive and not value for money. this hotel charged me SGD45 for 2 hours of early check-in ( 1 pm) and was too strict for me to check out by 12 noon. They only give one room key and it's hard to go out keeping my family members inside. In my experience, Singapore is no longer a good tourist attraction and the shops/hotels charge you a lot of each extra service as the cost of living is too high for them.

Arrive in Singapore late at night. I was at an age when it was difficult to stay at the airport, so I chose to lie down, but this was quite comfortable. A taxi from the airport costs $33 (including late night charges). The late-night reception was unmanned, but the self-check-in system worked well, and although it was a small space that looked like a closet, the women's 6-person room was so quiet that I thought no one was there, and the mattress and sheets were surprisingly good. It's high and I had a good night's sleep (although in the morning some people started unpacking their suitcases and there was nowhere to step) Showers and toilets are clean, but be aware that the floors can get wet. Also, perhaps because of the corona crisis, there is no breakfast service as mentioned in previous reviews.

This is a new venue in Singapore, offering guests loads of comfort. It consists of a main building (reception/lounge area/work space) and a newly built building, where the rooms/apar**ents are located. In between lie the swimming pool 30 mtrs or so long and the gym. Rooms are very comfortable, well designed and well equipped. Staff is very helpful. They offer guests a good breakfast, not abundant but more than enough for us. Around six they offer guests free wine and beer and some snacks. Non alcoholic beverages/coffee/tea are available 24/7. Bicycles are available too.

Note: The bigger swimming pool you see online is only for CLUB members only. I wish the trip could have stated that before we booked. You will be unable to access the level for club members via the lift. Cleaniless is great. Housekeeping Jennifer is great. She replenished bathrobes and slippers once she has seen that they are used. Location: convenient to get to most places. There is a mall called 100am just diagonal to the hotel, you can get everything you need there. NTUC can also be found within walking distance. Reception is on the 12th floor. If you're non-club member, you have to take separate lifts from your hotel floor to 12th, then change lift to get to 1st level. Communication in Oasia is quite disastrous. Upon check-in, we were told that our stay came with breakfast. However on the morning of the day after, the breakfast area at 1st level told us that we did not have breakfast inclusive in our booking. Secondly, we also requested late checkout which they gave to us complimentary (1.5h after the default 12pm checkout) About 1215pm, they called us in the hotel room, asking if we would like to extend our stay as we have not checked out. After telling them that we requested a late check out, the person asked if we have already told the front desk about it. Why is there a mismatch of information between staff? This should be improved. Overall I still enjoyed my stay. Hotel is spacious and the gym is also kept clean. The swimming pool is closed up (there is no view at all) -located on the 27th floor. I think the pictures sprawled around in google especially once you search up Oasia Swimming Pool, should be emphasized that THAT one is only for club members. The cube capsule was very good value for money, considering how expensive Singapore is. We had a double capsule in a large mixed dorm, however the capsules create fantastic privacy and it didn't feel like a shared space at all. The capsules were well maintained and neat and had everything we needed. Mirror, plug etc. Shared bathrooms were cleaned regularly and were great. Location is brilliant, right in Chinatown and very close to the MRT. I would definitely stay here again. Only criticism is that the capsules and bathrooms can get verrrrrrry hot. One night, my partner couldn't sleep all night as the AC just didn't seem to be effecting our capsule. We notified the staff about this the next day and they gave us a fan for our capsule. Which was fantastic. Not great if you need silence for sleeping. Overall, a pleasant stay.

The location is good. Clarke Quay Metro Station and Clarke Quay Shopping Center are just a few minutes walk away. There are two 7-11 convenience stores next to the hotel. The buses are also much closer than the subway. The minutes are here. The hotel facilities are fairly clean, the air conditioner has no noise, the bed is comfortable and not soft, there are free mineral water and oranges every day, there are not many samples for breakfast, but it is enough, eat in the morning and start the day. The room has a hair dryer, very nice. The front desk can help to call a taxi, there is a lift for the disabled, very practical. The room is very small, the washstand is next to the bed, the 20-inch suitcase barely opens two, and then it is more difficult to open the door.

This review is long over due. My extended family and I stayed at Oakwood Studios Singapore through most of December 2022 and onto the first week of January 2023. The circumstances around our stay was very difficult but the management and staff at the Oakwood Studios made our stay most comfortable and we can’t thank them enough. This is not your typical service apartment but one with a special touch. And it seems to be popular with expats on short assignments to Singapore and families who have patients being treated at MT E Orchard or many of the other medical facilities across Singapore. Nestled across from York hotel and one building next to Quincy this is a most unique property. I have stayed at both the others in the past but I prefer Oakwood by far with its balcony in every room and clean and modern style with kitchenette. But it’s the people that made all the difference. I would like to specially thank Hitesh for going out of his way and even while on holiday to accommodate our ever changing dates and need for rooms. A big thanks to Nass as well for always stepping up and being most accommodating. Thank you Dan, Denise, Kym, Jet and Shobina for all the help at reception, with the brilliant breakfast boxes and recommendations. The residents loved the Thursday night cocktail and snacks which were complimentary and the many hidden outdoor places in the building (including the roof top pool). A must stay in Singapore for those planning to stay for a week or longer. At the time we were there, we heard that the Ascott group had bought Oakwood Studios. As good as the Ascott brand are themselves, I do hope they allow Oakwood Studios to retain its unique style and personality.

Had a very pleasant and comfortable stay! Ms Rani, the sales coordinator, was very helpful and friendly and made sure that the entire experience was enjoyable for me. Location is easily accessible , about 10 mins from the closest MRT station. The rooms were clean and cosy. It was perfect for a solo female traveller like me! (:

I stayed here for 7 days because I saw on Google Maps that it is close to everything. The price is affordable, and the room is clean, including the bathroom and beddings. However, one thing that turned me off about this place is that after 9 PM, there is no staff available to assist with any problems. I accidentally left my keycard inside the room and couldn't get back in because they don't provide an extra keycard. I called their hotline number repeatedly, but no one answered. This was a devastating experience, and I told myself I would never return to this place.

Love the Tea ceremony…humbled to be serve tea from this staff person who served tea with great humility & explained everything with kindness. I will remember this forever. Hotel was easy to access MRT as well as near Chinatown & Lau pa sat hawker center within walking distance.

The facilities are very good, it is a local villa area, very beautiful, the landlord is also very good, and provide a lot of help. The only thing that is not perfect is the 30 Singapore dollar sanitation fee, which is not cleaned. It is said that it will be cleaned only once in 7 days. We only live for three days. We do n’t have cleaning tools ourselves, which makes us unreasonable.
