THE SPACE

As you walk into The Parlor house from the first floor piazza, you are greeted by an elegant entry foyer with the home’s open living room and kitchen to the right. The living room and kitchen area at the front of the home are the original building’s storefront and commercial space. The living room, adorned with classic yet comfortable furniture pieces, has plenty of space for your group to relax and take in the home’s history and vintage antique artwork. The first floor piazza can be accessed off the living room as well.

While The Parlor House has a classic vintage vibe, the kitchen is anything but that! An arched out-cove houses custom built-ins and a modern stainless steel wine cooler style fridge and freezer. A stainless steel oven and stove are also available for nights in with a home cooked meal. Sit at the large kitchen bar with seating for five, share a meal or an evening cocktail…or better yet both!

The first floor bedroom is located in the back of the house for quiet nights away from the street and features a large king bed, en-suite bathroom with a beautifully tiled shower/tub combo, as well as a large closet for luggage storage. The large walk-in closet also houses a small kitchenette with a mini fridge.

On the second floor of the home you’ll find two additional bedrooms, one in the front of the home, one in the back. Both of these bedrooms include a comfy king bed, ample closet space, and a private en-suite bathroom featuring a crafted tiled/glass shower, and single vanity sink. Need to freshen up those vacation outfits after a long day of exploring? The washer/dryer closet is located in the hall upstairs as well. The second floor piazza is accessed from the hall and the front bedroom, and makes an excellent spot to take in Charleston’s amazing weather over a cup of coffee or the late afternoon cocktail; the home is called The Parlor House after-all!

For the history buffs, in addition to the antique artwork and vintage decor, each of the three bedrooms feature unique vintage wallpaper designs by William Morris “Morris & Co.” All of the wallpapers were designed in the late 1800’s which is the same time the "Parlour House" was originally built. No historical detail has been overlooked! All bedrooms also include flat screen tvs for all your streaming needs, sumptuous linens and towels for each stay, and luxurious bath amenities for your convenience. There’s no need to stress about parking either, The Parlor House includes one off street parking space so you’ll always have a space for your rental or family vehicle.

The hotel is a quaint place in the heart of historic downtown Charleston. Wonderful breakfast! However, we forgot a bottle of wine we had purchased in the room and they failed to inform us even though we didn’t get our car from valet for several hours after checkout AND they identified us as the people that checked out when we picked it up. Sure, it was our fault that we forgot it but I expected a higher level of service from this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Christmas time. The hotel was beautifully decorated. Check in was easy, we were offered a$20 upgrade for our room, which we accepted and we enjoyed our 3 nights in a suite- lovely! The courtyard was also decorated and the outdoor fireplace was always blazing. We liked having a glass of wine in the evening. We also loved “The Den” bar! The pizza was yummy! Such a cool experience- we will definitely stay here next time we are in Charleston!

Spent one night at this location driving back from Florida to Virginia: . Well maintained and clean hotel. . The breakfast service was great: they even make waffle to order for you and many options to choose from. . Easy check-in & check-out. . Location is good: close to everything. . The room was clean but was missing some trash bags other than all was good. Will stay here again.

The Indigo in is in the perfect location for discovering Charleston on foot as it is in a very central location. The rooms were comfortable although the bathroom was a little bit small Basic but good healthy breakfast is served every morning and you can eat it in a beautiful patio.

The location has nothing to say, it is too convenient, so basically punching in the net red restaurant does not need to go to the queue, it is very convenient to walk. The facilities are a bit old and the health is decent

Sea view room, nice view, the equipment is a little old, but it can be used normally, the bedding is very high-end, free parking, not far from the bridge, strongly recommend everyone to go to the bridge, very close to the aircraft carrier park, 5 minutes walk, there is a free shuttle bus to the ancient town, in short, a good hotel

I don't know why this hotel has such a low rating. The hotel is quiet and the river can be seen from the bedroom window. Outside the bedroom, there is a sofa, desk, bar similar to the living room space, the sofa can be used as a folding part. There is also a small balcony. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful, nuts have pine nuts and cranberries. After visiting the old town of Savannah, it was seven or eight kilometers away.

The best things about the Hampton Inn were the location and the hotel employees. The hotel is 15 minutes to half an hour walk from Charleston’s major attractions, including shopping, and twenty minutes from the airport. Charleston is made for walking. It is compact, clean and safe, so we walked everywhere. The attitude of the front desk employees epitomized southern hospitality. The hotel offers free breakfast which is basic, but satisfying. Room cleaning is offered upon request. twenty minutes from the airport.

The hotel consists of two buildings, one of which has an external corridor. The hotel service is very good, and the check-in and check-out are fast. The room has a usable area of 26 square meters and a floor height of 2.4 meters. The breakfast is rich. As it is far away from the city, the surrounding area is very quiet. But it is a bit inconvenient to go into the city. As the hotel allows pets to stay, and the house is carpeted, the springtails carried by the animals are not easy to remove, and there are more than 20 bites on my feet.
