The hotel is great for a layover as it is super close to the airport. They have a shuttle which was a great help for me. I really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner as I missed SA food. Most of the staff was really helpful (especially Lily from the kitchen) she went above and beyond to help me cause I was with a baby. She made sure I was comfortable, had my food while she was holding my baby. I really appreciate that, thank you 🙏 . I also observed her around other customers she kept the same energy. Close to the airport which is highly convenient. I just wish they had more basic amenities like Tissues and bottled water at least. Comfortable bed. The only other issue was being able to get hold of the hotel from this app and also arranging a shuttle to the airport the next day. We were told we'd be given transport and then on the morning we were told they over extended their services so we had to catch an Uber instead. Staff are friendly and helpful. The first stay was ok, but it was a family house renovation, cockroaches because I booked it close to me. The room was on the second floor pushing open the door to the balcony, where there were tables and chairs but thick dust. The second stay was very angry 😡, because there was something wrong on the first day of two days, the next day they found that they sold the good room I ordered at a higher price to later people without my consent. I could go to the room where I was almost in, and the hot water in the room was put for 20 minutes before it came out. Will not stay at the inn again. Beautiful boutique hotel! It is extremely convenient for anyone who wants to be near the airport. Amazing staff. The only difficulty is that there is no on-site evening restaurant, nor any shops within walking distance. However, you can get Uber eats delivery food and Uber for any journeys. Check out is 10am, which seems very early and you have to pay extr for late check out. However, the rooms are amazing! I chose this place because I liked the free pick-up and free breakfast. However, in fact, the last pick-up was at 11 o'clock in the evening. I arrived at the airport at 11 o'clock. I said that the pick-up at night would be charged. I am willing to pay, but I can't come to the arrival floor to pick me up. I can be at the bus station. It is well known. South Africa is naturally in a mess, and the probability of being robbed on the road at night is very high! Finally, I paid for a taxi to their hotel and found that the door was closed! The location of the hotel is very biased, there is no street light at night, the black light is blind, the driver is black, everyone is in the position to think about it, feel panic? I know that the front desk will get off work at 11 o'clock in the evening, but I have already emailed that I will land at 11 o'clock and arrive at 12 o'clock. They know it, but they still don't leave anyone. After waiting for a long time, the driver came back and opened the door. At the beginning, the driver refused to give me the door key and asked me to add 200 rand for the night stay. I don't know the cost. I didn't inform when I placed the order on Trip.com. One of the key reasons I chose this hotel was because of its location and a shuttle service to the airport. However, upon checking in, I was informed that the shuttle operated only from 7 am onwards. This was highly inconvenient as my flight departure time was earlier. I approached the receptionist to inquire about alternative options, hoping for some flexibility or assistance, but was met with an unhelpful suggestion to order an Uber instead.
Having previously stayed at other hotels near airports, I had come to expect a 24-hour shuttle service as the norm. It was disappointing to find that this particular hotel did not offer the same level of convenience. Given the additional cost associated with using ride-hailing services like Uber, this unforeseen expense was an unwelcome surprise.
