Nice hotel to stay in if you want to be near the waterfront or the bus station. I had to check out very early in the morning and the hotel prepared a breakfast bag for me which I really appreciated. The room I checked into was very basic, no slippers or robe for the guests either which was a bit of a let down. The bathroom water was not hot, this was another let down considering that it was a cold winter day. Overall an average experience.From€74

Really a perfect hotel. It is called a turbine hotel, because the original site of the hotel is a power certer. But now it is converted into a hotel, the turbines and other equipment in the original factory are all preserved, and the decoration is improved. It is very small and fresh. Our room is located on the third floor (the second floor of South Africa). The room has a balcony facing the lagoon, and the scenery outside is super invincible. On the other side of the bathroom you can see the lake shore and the mountains on the other side. This hotel has almost become one of our attractions in knysna. The front desk is welcoming and you can also make a free wine tasting at the spa, reception location. We fell in love with the sherry in it, and the 200R bottle is about 100 RMB, which is very good. It is also very close to the lake, and it is less than five minutes by car. The price is too high.From€141

Although we changed three room types within 24 hours, in the end, the hotel manager promised to give us a room type that we would definitely be satisfied with. So, we stayed in a single-family vacation room. It has a kitchen, living room and dining room on the first floor, and a kitchen on the second floor. There are two suites. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room open onto the green turf. It is very pleasant to take a walk outdoors at sunset. In the evening, I fried steak and paired it with red wine and turned on the TV to watch the Olympics. It was a perfect day.From€117

The hotel breakfast was very good. The view was awe inspiring. The room had great coffee available. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Brown eyed manager was really patient with my grandmother and really professional. Loadshedding was a bit of a problem because in the middle of the night the generator switched of and Gran couldn't make it to the bathroom in the dark. The bathroom ventilation was a bit of a problem and the room air conditioner didn't work. For the price I would say it was reasonable but improvements can be made in terms of small helper lights on the stairs. The swimming pool is heated and looks out onto the stars which was awe inspiring to see. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.From€280

We had a very friendly welcome from our hostess with welcome drinks, a small snack and a scented damp refresher towel. The grounds are beautiful - lush, green and well kept. We were bumped up to a lovely room with a big balcony and view over the pool area and river. The room was very clean and neat. breakfast at the on-site restaurant was delicious and staff were friendly. (the only minus... the coffee was not hot). Another great thing is that all the activities (canoeing on the river, hiking, mashie golf, etc are included in your room fee! We would definitely visit again!!From€67

the location is great! very close to viewpoints, restaurants and overall very safe. the chalet itself is clean, fully equipped with everything you need, with a great beach where you can always take a SUP or canoe. there are a couple of things that need to be mentioned - the smell of damp wood and the slope of the floor in the bedroom - but personally this did not spoil the impression for us, although for someone it may be important. thanks for the hospitality)From€66

This is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in!!! The staff and cottages were amazing!!! Let's start with the (only small) negatives... the cottages are a little remote from Knysna centre so you are reliant on using Uber. There is a wonderful on-site pub, but it stops serving food quite early. Plus it is hard to get cars back after 10pm at night. Therefore, some people may be better off staying more centrally. HOWEVER, nowhere else will match the beauty and tranquility of these cottages! The perfect place to relax! Stock up from a supermarket and build a new home!From€64

Accomodation is located on a separate island, which is a gem itself - stunning shoreline, lovely park for walks, a very peaceful place which is also very safe. Great location - road connecting it to the mainland, and just 10 minutes drive from Knysna harbour with all the best eat out places around. We've been treated by Pierre, who is the most friendly and welcoming host. He has designed the place with his love for sailing and the sea in general - everything is very stylish, clean and bright. He is also originally from Belgium, which means you'll also benefit from delicious Belgium waffles as a nice desert treat for your breakfast. You can also ask him about best places to visit, not just around Knysna but all across the West Cape. And there will also be a special something for dog lovers, as there are 2 absolutely adorable labradoodles hanging around when allowed by guests, and they really love to cuddle 🤗 Wish we could stay for more, but will definitely come back next time I'll be around.From€103

So good we are staying longer!
Apart from the obvious draw of the fantastic golf course onsite the hotel and spa are a real treasure. Breakfast is to a very high standard. Rooms are spacious but the real bonus is the spa and facilities. Unlike other hotels on the garden route with high costs and limited availability the range of treatments on offer is excellent, staff work hard to fit you in and they are very reasonably priced too.
Reception staff are very helpful and ensure you are aware of all the local walks and things to do.
I’d definitely stay again…. We are already staying longer than originally planned.

Nice hotel to stay in if you want to be near the waterfront or the bus station. I had to check out very early in the morning and the hotel prepared a breakfast bag for me which I really appreciated. The room I checked into was very basic, no slippers or robe for the guests either which was a bit of a let down. The bathroom water was not hot, this was another let down considering that it was a cold winter day. Overall an average experience.
