I'm very satisfied, except for the geographical location, but taxis are cheap in Ljubljana. It only costs 5 euros to get from the bus station to the hotel, which is slightly more expensive than Beijing. In fact, if you take a taxi, there is no need to worry about location It's not far away, the hotel is super cost-effective, clean and comfortable, and the surroundings are very quiet. There is free chocolate powder in the room. The key is that the breakfast is too rich. I ate this and wanted to eat that. Highly recommend this hotel!From$106

Good location for getting to Ljubliana, or catching the freeway for excursions. Free parking onsite!! Rooms were good and had all the basics. If you can upgrade to a suite, they are great. Sauna was hot, clean and not another person in sight. Breakfast has many options, both hot and cold. Omelets can be made to order and are served hot! One morning we were surprised with octopus ”carpaccio” - delicious. The best surprise was when we were not motivated to leave the hotel for dinner - so we tried the Robin Restaurant - the hotel's main restaurant. We were hesitant but found all of the food freshly prepared and at a high level of quality. The service was excellent too and our server knew the menu and dish contents as if she herself were preparing the plates! The prices were very reasonable for the food that was served - on hot plates - as it should be! Highly recommended!!From$85

The location is very good, inside the pedestrian street, the sights can be reached on foot. There is an underground toll parking lot. This is a little story about how important is front of house and that customer service is essential to run a hotel. I can assure I am not a Karen in any way and I am not easy to be annoyed. We came on a business trip for 1 night only, exhausted from the car ride from another side of Slovenia. We came about 5 pm, with 20 degrees and full sunshine outside beaming through glass windows of the hotel. Although it says the hotel has air conditioning after we informed the reception that it doesn’t work, our receptionist ( who looks like she had a bad day) explained that IT IS WINTER. And the air conditioning is not turned on in the whole hotel. Use the windows instead. We then dreamt about the coffee. Not a single kettle to use in the whole hotel, restaurant closed. We couldn’t even buy a bottle of water (no water in the room). We went to town. We received a parking hob with a £20 deposit for the parking space and at night before our very busy departure I wanted to return it. I have been told that I have to unpark my car in the morning, put the parking block up, LEAVE THE CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET with no alternative parking available, get myself back to the hotel desk and then give it back. When I said it is quite problematic to do in the morning this way I would like to return tonight, I got reprimanded, rudely, that I have to do it otherwise my deposit will not be given back. I then heard her slagging me off in Slovenian when I was waiting for the elevator. I hope someone takes notes for the staff training… The room was clean and cosy, slightly small to my liking but good value for money.From$58

Overall a good stay. Nice bright modern room and hotel. But only one USB port, the beds are VERY firm, and the shower has a hand held spray which I really dislike. Also the tub is slippery and hard to get into. The elevators were quick and there were several. I would have liked to use the stairs more but while they were clean and well lit, they were confusing about where they ended up.From$72

The hotel is not far from the bus station, opposite the hotel is the bus station, and the 25th road is directly to the bus terminal. Not far from the city center, the bus goes directly. McDonald's is downstairs, and it is convenient to eat. The only drawback is that there is no elevator, it is good to take a small suitcase, and the large suitcase is more troublesome because there are many stairs in the apartment. ATTENTION !!! Nous avons réservé deux nuits sur Ljubana dans cet hébergement, dans un premier temps via booking, ma carte étant refusée (en cause une opposition car celle-ci a été piratée), j’ai donc directement appelé le propriétaire afin de refaire une réservation et donc lui donner une nouvelle emprunte bancaire. Nous avons été débité du montant et même 100€ de plus qui était annoncé sur booking !!! Tout a été confirmé, nous avons reçu une confirmation ainsi qu’un lien avec nº de réservation, 3 semaines avant notre arrivée. Arrivées depuis Bohinj vers 18h30 et fatiguées de la route, le propriétaire nous ouvre la porte de façon très désinvolte, pas vraiment digne d’un accueil. On comprends qu’il faut un code pour accéder à la résidence et notre incompréhension semble le déranger. Nous nous annonçons en lui donnant notre nom et nº de réservation. A son visage nous savons immédiatement vu qu’il y a un problème ! Il nous explique qu’enfaite notre réservation n’a pas été prise en compte et de surplus que c’est de notre faute ! Je lui explique que travaillant dans l’hôtellerie la faute ne nous revenait pas mais que c’était lui qui n’avait pas fermé sa chambre avec booking quand il a pris en compte notre réservation ! Vous l’aurez compris, nous sommes face à un surbooking ! En plein été alors qu’il y a très peu d’hébergement sur la capitale ! Je lui explique qu’il doit absolument nous reloger ! Il fait mine d’appeler un confrère et nous explique qu’il n’y a plus de place. Il m’explique qu’il nous rembourse sur le champs et je comprends aussi qu’il ne compte pas faire plus d’efforts pour nous reloger. Je lui montre que sur booking il y a des hébergements et qu’il doit nous reloger. Sur quoi il refuse en me disant que je suis particulièrement osé de lui présenter un hôtel 4 étoiles ! Je lui demande alors de trouver la même prestation qu’il propose ! Sauf que vous l’aurez compris il n’y avait plus rien à moins de 200€/nuit. Nous insistons et il refuse et ne reconnaît absolument pas son erreur, il nous dit même que c’est de la nôtre ! Il nous propose la ‘petite’ chambre de sa fille, et nous lance qu’elle ira dormir dans un camping ! Très honteux de sa part ! We stayed here only a day but the experience was really great! Accommodation, availability and sympathy characterize the girl who welcomed us. The room for us, at the first floor with the view of the parking, was just a little wonderful! A beautiful bedroom, a beautiful bathroom and a living room with super-accessory kitchen. We used the bus to reach the centre and the girl at the reception explained everything in detail (stops, bus number...). We would be happy to return!From$68

Great hotel - it’s a shame that the staff let it down.
Prior to our arrival, we contacted the hotel to let them know that we would be arriving after check-in had closed (at 10pm). They were very helpful and provided us with instructions to enter the property by ourselves using an app.
When we arrived, we managed to get into the lobby (using the app), but the room key we were given was different than the one we were told on the phone and email. As a result, we were unable to enter our assigned room.
Assuming that our room number had been changed, we tried the key in the door that matched the new number (as there were no staff or guests around, and no one was answering the phone or emails). It opened and revealed a couple, asleep, inside. Obviously, we were mortified that we had disturbed the hotel guests, and also terrified that we would have to sleep in the hotel lobby until check-in opened at 6am.
After about an hour of searching around the lobby for clues about who to contact, we knocked on some private doors. Thankfully, a man came out and used a master key to let us in. It was clear that we had woken him up (by this point it was 2am). Again, we were sorry to have done so, but were left with no choice.
After we had successfully entered our room, I sent an email to the front desk letting them know what had just happened and that we would like them to apologise (on our behalf) to the guests and staff we woke up. They never replied. In fact, every time we mentioned it, the staff member made excuses like “I wasn’t there so I don’t have anything to do with it” and “the guy who organised the late check-in was training so he made a mistake”. There was absolutely nothing in the way of an apology or compensation for the mix-up until we checked out and it was already too late. We would like the hotel to know that mistakes are bound to happen, so it is imperative that they have a back-up (emergency number or night staff) for guests who have been given the wrong room key.
In addition, since we had been travelling for a while, we were running out of clothes and needed to do a load of laundry. We followed the instructions for the housekeeping staff to collect our laundry but found that when we had returned to the hotel, the laundry had not been done and the room had not been made up. When we went downstairs to inform the staff of this, we were told “housekeeping doesn’t go back to rooms to clean them after you took off the do not disturb sign, I’ve worked in lots of hotels and this is always the policy”. This member of staff eventually helped us find an laundromat, but the contempt with which we were spoken to was unacceptable and uncaring of the fact that we, too, have plenty of experience in the hotel industry as customers. An apology would have sufficed.
Overall, it was a great hotel in a fantastic location. Just make sure you’re okay with passive aggressive communication before you book.From$68

Had a nice stay at this hotel but the hotel has some issues. Biggest one of them being parking and carrying luggage to the hotel as there is no way you can park closer to the hotel. On top of it, its a cobbled street. Say goodbye to you bag wheelies…
Secondly, being a 4star property, i would atleast expect a 24hr reception desk. Had a call from trip.com office regarding my eta to the hotel as they would close the reception desk after 10pm and we wouldnt be able to check-in if there is no staff. Thankfully staff stayed late as our flight was super delayed (Perfect easyjet moment) and checked us in before we could head out and get dinner which was past 10:45pm and almost none of the restaurants were serving dinner. So much for the first magical evening in Ljubljana!!!!
Thirdly, there is no lift being an old building which is self explanatory, but travellers with heavy luggage should be warned in advance.
Fourthly, as for the breakfast we expected a proper coffee from a 4star property, but instead there is only a small coffee machine which dispenses coffee on button press. Guys the coffee isnt nice. I would rather head downstairs to the main street with plenty of cafes around. Breakfast itself is just standard, nothing whao. For hot breakfast there is only one option - eggs (served 4 ways) wasnt great, wasnt bad!
Now for the good part, hotel is nicely decorated, clean, rooms are spacious, coffee machine and kettle inside the room. Clean towels, Comfy beds! A complimentary bubbly waiting for you in the fridge, somehow they knew you are exhausted from carrying your bags from the end of the street to the hotel and upstairs!!! 😫

Whist I understand the hotel had recently had a refurb my room (515) was very dated. The bathroom tiles, wood in the bedroom, internal doors and curtains were poor. Worst was the shower cubicle which was a tiny square old-fashioned cubicle with a corner door and a large step to get into. The tray showed signs of age with cracks/marks in the surface. The drainage from the shower was very poor so you stood in water for all of your shower. It rained heavily when we were there and the shower drain made really loud noises of gurgling water during heavy rain which woke me up at night. The door to the bathroom opened inwards making it hard to get in and out of and the door to the room opened out into the corridor which seemed strange. On the positive side the water pressure and bed linens were excellent. The breakfast was also excellent.From$134

My stay at The Fuzzy Log was overall a good stay. The staff were friendly, the shared spaces were fantastic - a fully-stocked kitchen, plenty of lounge space inside and outside, with a few game tables. They had lockers to leave bags pre-check in / post-check out, which is super handy. My deep dive room was very comfy for one person - I don't think you'd comfortably fit two suitcases in the space though. The mattress was okay. The main issues is the cleanliness - the toilets were filthy for almost my entire stay. One bathroom didn't have toilet paper for almost 24hrs, there was pee everywhere all over toilets and the floor, there was water and hair everywhere in the showers. I was truly bewildered because the hostel wasn't rowdy over the weekend so I don't know how they got to be in that state. Also one night, the shared kitchen was full of dirty dishes and food in the sink and on the benches. These are usually complaints directed at the people staying there, not the hostel itself, but I think more truly has to be done to have rules in places and added cleaning.SOLD OUT

The best place we have stayed at for cleanliness, service, helpfulness and location. We were leaving on a tour early and couldn’t make breakfast so the staff arranged for us the pick some sandwiches, fruit and a drink the night before. We arrived on a Sunday when no shops were open and needed washing powder. Some was dropped up in minutes despite reception being closed. The restaurant below was good value and delicious. The Hotel is in the center of Ljubljana, and this is the most interesting aspect!The rooms are untreated and there were no lamps in our room and the bed was noisy. The power outlets were old. The price is excellent, just a little attention would be enough to make it a recommended place. Another problem is parking, consider between € 8 and € 15 a day for a nearby car park. New and modern hotel. Perfectly located - within walking distance of both train stations and the central part of the city. There are several good restaurants nearby.
What I liked:
1. Very friendly and helpful staff
2. Spacious room with great view
3. Comfortable bed and accessories
4. Delicious and varied breakfast
What I didn't like:
1. Everything inside is new and looks nice, but it feels like the cheapest materials were used)
2. There was a crackling sound in the ventilation system from time to time. The technician came twice but found no problems. However, it really spoiled my sleep.
3. The gym has very poor equipment and bad ventilation. You have to breathe the smell of rubber from the flooring.
4. Pakring price - 30 EUR per day

I'm very satisfied, except for the geographical location, but taxis are cheap in Ljubljana. It only costs 5 euros to get from the bus station to the hotel, which is slightly more expensive than Beijing. In fact, if you take a taxi, there is no need to worry about location It's not far away, the hotel is super cost-effective, clean and comfortable, and the surroundings are very quiet. There is free chocolate powder in the room. The key is that the breakfast is too rich. I ate this and wanted to eat that. Highly recommend this hotel!From$106

Good location for getting to Ljubliana, or catching the freeway for excursions. Free parking onsite!! Rooms were good and had all the basics. If you can upgrade to a suite, they are great. Sauna was hot, clean and not another person in sight. Breakfast has many options, both hot and cold. Omelets can be made to order and are served hot! One morning we were surprised with octopus ”carpaccio” - delicious. The best surprise was when we were not motivated to leave the hotel for dinner - so we tried the Robin Restaurant - the hotel's main restaurant. We were hesitant but found all of the food freshly prepared and at a high level of quality. The service was excellent too and our server knew the menu and dish contents as if she herself were preparing the plates! The prices were very reasonable for the food that was served - on hot plates - as it should be! Highly recommended!!From$85

This is a little story about how important is front of house and that customer service is essential to run a hotel. I can assure I am not a Karen in any way and I am not easy to be annoyed. We came on a business trip for 1 night only, exhausted from the car ride from another side of Slovenia. We came about 5 pm, with 20 degrees and full sunshine outside beaming through glass windows of the hotel. Although it says the hotel has air conditioning after we informed the reception that it doesn’t work, our receptionist ( who looks like she had a bad day) explained that IT IS WINTER. And the air conditioning is not turned on in the whole hotel. Use the windows instead. We then dreamt about the coffee. Not a single kettle to use in the whole hotel, restaurant closed. We couldn’t even buy a bottle of water (no water in the room). We went to town. We received a parking hob with a £20 deposit for the parking space and at night before our very busy departure I wanted to return it. I have been told that I have to unpark my car in the morning, put the parking block up, LEAVE THE CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET with no alternative parking available, get myself back to the hotel desk and then give it back. When I said it is quite problematic to do in the morning this way I would like to return tonight, I got reprimanded, rudely, that I have to do it otherwise my deposit will not be given back. I then heard her slagging me off in Slovenian when I was waiting for the elevator. I hope someone takes notes for the staff training… The room was clean and cosy, slightly small to my liking but good value for money.From$58

Overall a good stay. Nice bright modern room and hotel. But only one USB port, the beds are VERY firm, and the shower has a hand held spray which I really dislike. Also the tub is slippery and hard to get into. The elevators were quick and there were several. I would have liked to use the stairs more but while they were clean and well lit, they were confusing about where they ended up.From$72

Not only is the location perfect, and the rooms comfortable and very clean, but there is a gorgeous rooftop pool and deck and a fabulous restaurant downstairs. In the price of the room is an over the top breakfast (in USA standards at least). We couldn’t believe we got a sit down breakfast with a waiter with the price of the room. It was quite the treat. On top of the amenities, we were in a bit of a sticky situation and the front desk staff helped us through it all. They were so kind and friendly and we felt completely taken care of. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there. Top notch!
