The room was spacious and wonderful, equipped with a dining table, washing machine and dryer. As I checked in outside business hours, I received clear instructions via SMS on how to check in, where the parking lot was, and how to enter. Parking is an additional fee (600 yen including tax), but I was sent a URL for card payments, which allowed me to pay without any trouble. However, I used the nationwide travel support to stay here, and had a very unpleasant experience with the exchange of regional coupons. When I received a confirmation call, I was told that I would be given six regional coupons for two adults, and when I asked what about children, I was told that coupons could be issued to children under 12 years old if they had proof of vaccination or negative test results. I asked them to confirm, but they insisted that it was written in the manual. I simply said I understood and hung up the phone. When I sent the proof of vaccination for adults by email, I included an explanation that the Fukuoka Prefecture official website states, ”*Children under 12 years of age do not need proof of vaccination certificates if accompanied by a parent or other guardian who lives with them and has been vaccinated and tested.” and sent the email.The next day, I received a reply saying that they could give me the regional coupon if I only needed to show identification.

The 24-hour supermarket is also within walking distance and is not a distance from Hakata Station. The cleaning was well done and I was able to spend comfortably. If you say that, the dryer is simple, so if you feel stress, you should bring it. (I was acceptable if I thought I would be a luggage)

First and foremost, we loved how spacious it was compared to other hotels, and I truly believe it's the perfect accommodation if you're traveling with children. While its location is a bit removed from the city center, we primarily used taxis, so we didn't find it inconvenient at all. We actually preferred its Airbnb-like vibe over a typical hotel. Even though we didn't utilize the cooking facilities, having the option to cook is a huge advantage for families with kids. The washing machine was also a lifesaver, allowing us to easily do laundry after water activities, which kept everything fresh and comfortable. We definitely want to return for a longer stay in the future!

Has been staying at Grand Base hotel at other cities and normally we will get the pre check in email very early before for advance check in, but we did not get any until the day of check in, it's ok for us because we are aware of the check in procedure. But maybe for those 1st timer, this will create a little chaos upon arriving at the hotel because they are not aware of the pre email and passcode to enter to the building. I suggest to send the pre email earlier to the customers. Other than that, all things are good.

First, the staff service is excellent, always greet you with a smile and accommodating. Second, the hostel is well maintained and clean, and the pillow, blanket, and bed are good quality. Common areas like the lounge, shower, and toilet are functional and clean. Third, the location is close to the bus station, a 3-minute walk, and 10-15 minutes to Hakata station. I love that they have options for female and male-only dormitories and mixed—an excellent price for what you get. I highly recommend Hostel Toki and will visit again when I travel to Fukuoka.

We love the apartment which come with kitchenette. However, check in was a bit rigid. We were about 20mins earlier than the check in time and the room was cleaned and ready but come not enter it earlier unless we pay additional charges. Decided to just wait for the 20min and save the money for food
