The hotel is in an excellent location, the front desk people are wonderful and accommodating, the room is beautiful. The room also has a cooking area stocked with knives, a cutting board and pans that is very convenient. The hotel also has American/Chinese style wall outlets which is also quite convenient compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in with Korean style wall outlets. However, the cleaning crew comes once every 3 days. We found a chocolate wrapper and a condom wrapper in the room. (Again the front desk receptionist was wonderful and took care of the leftover trash for us and gave us a free bath bomb as compensation.) As the hotel is right on a walking street, it’s quite noisy all night. If you don’t mind street ambiance/white noise when you sleep, it’s fine. The front desk is also only open from 9am to 6pm which is a bit strange. You also can’t use your own bathroom bombs, you need to buy them from the hotel. In the spa bathtub, the hot water flows extremely slowly and leaks out of the tub a bit from the faucet as it flows. The knob of the bathtub also comes off very easy. The shower also floods the bathroom very easily. And the comforter on the bed is a weird texture that makes a crinkly sound when you move. Again, the room is just as beautiful as the pictures show, the floor is nicely heated, and the receptionist went above and beyond for us. My main issues were with the hotel itself.

It was close to the city hall station and convenient, but I had a hard time finding the hotel. I didn't know the entrance... When I asked the staff at a nearby bar, they took me to the entrance. The price is cheap, so the narrowness of the room and the narrowness of the toilet and bath can't be helped. It can't be helped that the walls are thin, but I was woken up by the sound of the neighbor coming and going, so it would be nice to have earplugs. I just need to sleep! I think that's enough! However, it is not suitable for those who want more than that. The shower was hot and powerful.

Most important thing about 24 guest house is the its location. It is on Bukchang-dong food street where you will find many restaurants and food outlets throughout the day. You can easily walk to many tourist attractions including Namsan park, N Seoul Tower, Myeong-dong, Namdaemun market even Gyeongbokgung palace could be reached on walk. Namdaemun market is just in front the hotel. Reaching any attraction is much convenient as can easily walk to city hall station, Seoul station and many more. Also pick-up locations including City Hall (Exit 5 for Everland tour by Klook) Shinsegae Department Store (Nami Island by Kook) for for pre-booked tour operators such as KKday, Klook and Koreana Hotel for Seoul sightseeing bus are located few steps away from the hotel. Check-in was smooth as the room was ready by when we reached to the hotel around 7.00pm on the day of arrival. We booked a room with a bunk bed for 2 adults and 2 kids. Room and the bathroom was very small but clean and tidy, but could manage the size. Rooms are well heated in the winter.Break fast is provided daily 8-10 am at the level 6. A simple breakfast of toast, jam, cereal, milk and coffee. you need to clean your dishes once used. free breakfast is an value addition. There was no much staff. we saw only one gentleman from the day 1 to last day who helps for the check-in and arranges the breakfast daily. Good WIFI. TV and refrigerator in the room This is a very good place to stay specially if you are on budget as you can save lot on travel due to the strategic location of the hotel. Value for money.

The location is in the downtown area of Myeongdong, so I think it is very good. Affected by the new crown epidemic, I checked in face-to-face, but I didn't know anything, so I was confused because there was an entrance where I could enter my password immediately after getting off the elevator. I call because I have a phone number, but I don’t think it’s suitable for people who don’t understand Korean or can’t make calls. It's not unclean, but it feels dirtier than what I saw in the photos. I am also worried about the dirt on the sheets. I'm a bit stubborn, so I worry about things that I worry about, but I don't think people who are not worried. Can't watch TV (maybe I didn't understand it), and because I only have shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hair dryer, I have to bring a toothbrush and other supplies, so I can't recommend it to anyone who wants to reduce luggage. Personally, it is not that bad or so good.

The transport guesthouse in the middle of Seoul is quiet and cozy, and the staff are friendly and my family visited their homeland stayed comfortably. It was a great luck to find a place where you can stay comfortably without any cost while looking for a suitable place to do Seoul City Tour. There were many restaurants around, so I could have a food dinner. It was great to have a friendly staff guide the restaurants around.

The room is not big and if you have large suitcases, there may be some problem with space, but we managed to keep one under the bed. Water pressure from shower is not too bad compared to some other hotels I’ve stayed in Seoul. They have a washing machine which is FOC between 9 am and 8 pm (I think) but there is no dryer. There is a small kitchenette with microwave, cutleries and other utensils. Simple breakfast is available and there’s water dispenser for hot and cold water. If you’re not too fussy and is looking just to rest, this hotel is good choice. The downside is the hotel is at 3rd floor or 2nd floor depending on where’re you’re from and there’s no lift. Close to Myeongdong shopping, metro and airport limo.

The environment is very good, very clean, changing slippers at the door, especially the service, the boss speaks some Chinese, simple communication is no problem, and provides great convenience. I live here every time I go, a few minutes away from Lotte, very easy to find, next to the convenience store, next to Lotte City Hotel, so the way back to the hotel every day is easy to find. Breakfast, hot and cold water, and coffee are available every day, all are free of charge. There is WIFI in each room, which is very good.

The sanitation is very clean and safe. The bathroom in the room is really small, but although the sparrow is small, I have forgotten to take pictures. It is no different from his official picture. It is convenient to have breakfast. It saves a lot of money. The room was small and it did n’t matter because I just came back to sleep at night. But there was a slope at the door, and the little girl was very tired. She went out in the morning. It was heavy when she came back. But the room was clean and with breakfast! It's great! Hygiene elsewhere but it is too uncomfortable to fall asleep

We stayed at this hotel for three nights from November 4 to 7. The location is wonderful. Nearby there are a lot of cafes where you can eat, but also you have the opportunity to cook breakfast or heat up food in hotel. There is a kettle, a coffee machine. The staff is very friendly. I especially want to thank aministrator Leo for his responsiveness and goodwill. He speaks excellent English and helps a lot on many issues. Very calm and quiet hotel, despite the location on a noisy street.

Overall, I had a great stay at 24 Guesthouse Myeongdong and would stay there again! PROS: -Location is prime! This was the biggest pro IMO, the metro was steps outside the building, I could easily walk to markets like Namdaemun and Myeongdong, and other attractions (like Namsan Tower, South Gate). The neighborhood has lots of restaurants and is very walkable and I felt safe whatever time I was out. -Staff is friendly and responsive. I booked through Booking.com and used their app and they promptly responded to messages. When I was on-site they were very friendly and helpful although there was varying levels of English fluency-nothing that the Papago app couldn't help with. -Staff also accommodated my long stay (7 days) since they didn't have one room open for the entire 7 days, I did have to change rooms. But I loved the hotel and location so I appreciated their flexibility and willingness to work with me. -Rooms are simple and clean -Their coffee machine made very good coffee-I really enjoyed it Neither PRO nor CON Breakfast is very simple, toast, cup of noodles, coffee and juice-I recommend heading over to Namdaemun around 9-9:30 and grabbing a fresh hotteok before heading out for the day. CONS: -Most rooms have no exterior windows and the walls were thin-bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper like me! -Hotel is on the 10th floor-that itself is not bad, but it did make me re-think whether it was worth doing a quick drop off or taking a mid-day break.

Location - In the quiet end of Myeongdong - Close to Myeongdong station – although the closest exit doesn’t have escalator or elevator Building - No lifts (but you can ask the staff to help to carry your luggage) - A decent kitchen - The kitchen can only fit about 4-5 people at a time. - The following items are supposed to be available for breakfast: coffee, juice, cereal, toasts, eggs and fruit. However, I haven’t seen any eggs or fruit being available during my stay and nothing is ever replenished. - Cup noodles, bread, butter are spread are usually available round the clock. Room - The rooms are accessed through smart locks with password control – this means there’s one less thing you can lose - Modern clean no-frills furnishing - Enough room to open up the luggage in the twin room with a bunk bed - Clean linen - No windows which makes it hard to regulate temperature or ventilate the room – it got a bit too hot and stuffy in the room at time, even in the middle of winter - A bit hard to get dressed in the shower when it’s totally wet (no separate shower) - Musty smell coming out of the drain in the bathroom – had to keep the shower door closed at all time - The lower bunk is a bit too low for adults and with only one stool in the room, someone inevitably have to sit on the lower bunk - TV is on the same side as the head of the bed, which seems a little strange - Thin walls – could hear people talking in neighbouring room - The tiny bar fridge in the room had no freezer section and was so weak that things were merely cool but not cold Staff - Staff is friendly even though their English is limited Internet - Decent speed Other points to consider - The hotel occupies a number of floors, starting on 2/F (with ground floor being 1/F) - 2/F requires the least walking. However, with the reception being on this floor, it might feel like someone is watching your every move if you stay on this floor - The kitchen is on 3/F. While it has a separate door, you might be able to hear noise from the kitchen if you’re in an adjoining room. The only water dispenser is in the kitchen so whichever floor you’re on, you’ll inevitably be visiting the 3/F regularly - Some of the rooms have no windows (don't be fooled by the pictures)

The most happy thing about traveling is that I can live together at night. After washing up Lying on the bed, talking and laughing, the landlord did not collect a deposit, and also provided free cleaning service. I stayed at Hostel Tommy for 3 weeks. At first, my plan was to spend each week at a different place whether it was a hostel, hotel or AirB&B. However, after my first week at Hostel Tommy, there was no need for me to go anywhere else. I give Hostel Tommy 5 starts for the following reason: 1) proximity to everything. Any subway or bus that you need to go anywhere is within a 5-10 minute walking distance. I never took a taxi anywhere; and believe me, I went all over Seoul. 2) Convenience: there's a 24-hour 7-Eleven literally right next door, so anything that I needed (snacks) was just next door. 3) Lodging: the room are spacious, super clean, the beds are comfortable. The common areas were also clean and inviting. 4)Reception: Tommy and his staff are the BEST. They will help you with anything you need. I had a great time in Seoul because I never had to worry about anything regarding my stay. From now on, I will ALWAYS stay at Hostel Tommy every time I visit Seoul.

時間を言って来てるのに受付に人は居ないし連絡つかない。３０分後探しに行くと本人はスマホ握ってるのに無視して５階で他の客と会話。この時点でモラハラを感じて嫌な気にになる。会うと突然日本人か当てようとする失礼さ。 部屋は高めなのに狭いし、食事は５階でしかできない。モラハラ親父がスマホでモニター見て監視しており、きっと現れるので行きたくない。 もっぱら買い食い。 何かにこじつけ用もないのに上から目線で客の容姿ジャッジしつつ結婚歴まで聞いてくるキモさ、もう話したくなくて黙ってるのに話さないと注意を探して話そうとするができないのでやめる事を繰り返す。境界線なくてかなり最初から不愉快。構って欲しがってる人だけにしてよ！ 終わってるのに洗濯を手伝うと言いながら、何度も断ってるのにニヤニヤして手を突っ込もうとする。すると、一回目は無料と言ってたのに読めないんだろだから助けてるんだよ。見たか？洗濯には金がいると言い出す。面倒だから五千ウォン払いました。 その時他の人いたので、一回目は無料だから金は良いといい始める。けど結局金は受け取った。もうめちゃくちゃで嘘ばかりで適当に言って絡みまくる時に言ってること覚えてないんだと思う。 支配欲すごい自己愛性パーソナリティ障害人格障害のようで、拒絶を示すと罵って人のせいにして嘘までつく。 こちらはセクハラもやめろと言ってるだけ。貴方はただのスタッフだし私は客だからプライバシーを話したくないと言って怒っても理解出来ず支配を諦めない 日本人女性だと思ってセクハラできると思ってしてるの！？と言ったらさっきのフランス女性は洗濯物を見せてくれたと開き直り、全員にセクハラしてることにニヤつくキモさ。 他のサイトの広告ステマ酷かった。 宿泊客に支配欲丸出しで好意に見せかけ支配する。宿としては安全性皆無なのでランク外。評価すらつけたくない。金返せって気持ち。 突然部屋をノックして、酒飲もうと誘ってくる2日連続も。好意的に会話することも一度すらなかった。我慢して返事をしたことが数回。 高額で部屋のレベルは平均的に低く、シャワーに入ると便器は水浸しドア閉まらず、排水口は匂い留守にすると充満する。エレベーターなくて移動がキツイ。 セクハラ拒否の翌日からゴミと使用済みのタオルを片付けなくなったので、ハラスメントを抗議、その後片付けはしたが、最後の日の前日、部屋に来て一緒に朝部屋を確認すると言ってきた。拒絶したら喚き立てる。 最初に聞いてたのは、鍵を返すだけで、何かあればあとからカードに請求するとの話だった。 言ってることが違うし、おかしいしキモいから拒絶したら、突然カードからお金を引き出そうと試すといい始め、勝手にお金を引き出そうとした。警察も呼ぶと言い始める。汚してもいないのに。 オーナーは大人しそうなイスラム女性を呼び出して、この子にもこれをしてるだろと訴え説明させる。 客なのに客のプライバシーを私用することにためらいない。スタッフのくせに個人的に自分のトラブルに客呼び出したくせに本人は謝罪なく私だけにその後謝罪させに連れて行かれる。その子を巻き込んだのは悪いので誤ったけどなんであんたが謝らないわけ？ チェックアウトのとき一緒に居ることは妥協したものの、そしたら態度豹変し、今度は飛行場までついてくると言い出す。キモい！ 時間あれば女性皆についていってると言ったけど私はこんなキモいおっさんと宿出てまで話したくなくて何度も断ったけどしつこくやめない。客に拒否権は無いことになってるらしい。 こっちこそ警察呼んで欲しかった。自分でよべと言い始めたので来なかったけど。 支配出来なきゃ不安になるような人格障害者を静める為だけに会話のボランティアなんて嫌なので、つき合う義務ないと思うしどうせ立会なんて嘘だろうから部屋の証拠写真だけ撮影して逃げます。そうすると後でいちゃもんつけて嘘ついても理由つけて通報されるんだろうな。 会話と立会拒絶罪？ 面倒たけどカード番号とめます。完全に病気。自己愛性人格障害ぽいので相手を所有物とみなしていて、拒絶され逃げられると、俺の金を奪われたかのように嘘をついても発狂しつきまとい支配する人格 The day after he refused to sexually harass me, he stopped cleaning up the garbage and used towels, so I protested the harassment and cleaned up after that, but the day before the last day, he came to my room and said that he would check the room with me in the morning. But He was a call to like seems easily dominant girl and has ask to explain that she is doing is ok. He was taken away to make me apologize after that without his own apology. I apologized because it was a bad accident for her. But Its just his problem. He never apologized to her. Very creepy but I finally give up will checking room when I check out with him. So, he changed smile and said he want to follow the airport or Soul . Dominate again... He told every girls to do it, but I don't want it and too much the act. So I refused many times, but he didn't stop follow me. Before I refuse , He said that he would call the police . But I just refuse his creepy kindness. The landlord speaks some Chinese and English and is also accessible. It's super close to Dongdaemun Station of Subway Line 4. It's not far from Gwangjang Market. It's a ten-minute walk. It takes less than 2 minutes from Exit 1 of Seocho Station (Line 2), but there is no signboard of the hotel, and the cafe next door is a landmark. The so-called ``Goshiwon'', Livingtel and Officetel type guesthouses. There is a reception on the 4th floor, but the staff is not resident, and it depends on the time of day, so it is better to inform the check-in time. Shoe boxes and slippers are available for rent at the entrance. The 2nd floor is a single room with a shower, and the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors are single rooms without a shower. There is a shared kitchen on the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th floors, and you can eat whatever you want. There is a water server on each floor. If you are not familiar with Kosiwon, it may be difficult for long-term residents because the staff is not resident. The room requires a normal key and a deposit of 10,000w at check-in. The room is a little over 2 tatami mats in size, and although the shape of the room is different between the inside and the outside, the basic structure is a shelf above the desk, a clothes closet next to it, and a refrigerator below. The lights in the hallway are turned off day and night, probably to save electricity (even if someone turns them on, they are immediately turned off), so the inside of the building feels a bit dry. The shared shower on the 4th floor is old and a little intimidating, which may be hard for Japanese people. The showers on the 2nd and 3rd floors are clean and bright. It is suitable for people who want to keep their accommodation costs low as it is easily accessible from the station despite being a cheap hotel. If you walk to the other side, you can reach ”Kyodae” station on lines 8 and 9 in about 10 minutes, so it's convenient. Airport limousines can also be boarded on the main street. There is a large mall with Lotte Mart on the other side of the station, and it is convenient because it also has a food court. Major security and food hygiene issues. Beware! Food hygiene issue: They provide bibimbap + other side dishes for breakfast. The alarming thing is their re-use of the side-dishes. When the breakfast was over and all other guests have left the dining area, the host casually put the unconsumed side dishes back into the larger pots where they are stored. The reason this is alarming is because the side dishes are shared among all the guests, and the sharing nature of the side dishes inevitably means that their saliva will also be shared. Not only is this gross to think about, but this will also potentially promote infectious diseases. Security issue: We stayed in a private guest room as a couple with our private bathroom. The locks were the old Korean style, with 2 sets of 4 sliding doors - one set on the outside, one set on the inside. The outer set of sliding doors have 2 screw-in locks which can be padlocked. The inner set of sliding doors only have screw-in locks. When leaving the room, I had the inner set of sliding doors shut, with one side of the door remaining locked. We were shocked to find that upon returning, both sides of the inner doors were unlocked and opened, indicating that someone had entered our room. No tampering of the padlock was evident, suggesting that this person had the proper keys to the padlock. What was more disturbing was that there was no good reason for anyone to have been there! No cleaning and no rearranging of amenities! We tried several times to contact the owner to no avail. We immediately packed and left after the first night. Value for Money: Quite expensive for what it is. But, if you want the experience of staying in an old-style traditional korean housing, there are several other such guesthouses. Location: Good location. Close to Anguk subway station, palaces and insadong, but far enough from the main road to not be affected by road noise. Cleanliness: Clean enough. Staff: Questionable business practice & work ethics. There is one elderly woman who appears to be helping to keep the guesthouse clean and to prepare meals. She only speaks Korean, and does so very loudly and abruptly. I am a Korean, and this does not bother me as I do have some idea about how some people speak, but my wife found this very confronting. Facilities: Minimal. Very small rooms with no furniture. But this is, after all, a part of the traditional Korean Hanok experience.

Its located near Myeongdong exit 3, then a bit of uphill walk. There are a lot of restos, cafes and convenience store in the area. Room has two single beds. Spacious than other guesthouse, we can open our 2 big luggage at the same time. They provided shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste and body wash. Towels are really small, like the size of hand towels. Mini fridge provided. No elevator but they have a lift for the luggage. Free breakfast, but we were not able to try since we left early in the morning. The halmeoni gave us handmade souvenir, when we checked out.

Fantastic communication from Mary, great location, perfect for families or groups. Large mezzanine room with queen sized bed, pull out queen bed underneath and 4 single beds above. Right at the steps of Hongik Uni Exit 1. No Netflix, just Korean TV. Lovely electric blanket. Washing machine, heater, fan, fridge and cooking amenities. Keypad entrance so can self check in. The bathroom shower tiling is a little run down, the shower is warm but not hot hot. I booked last minute as a solo traveller not knowing the city and paid a pretty price for the location, should have researched more and saved some money staying in Sinchon or other surrounding areas. Nothing to do with the accommodation, that was my own error. However, if you want to be right in the heartbeat of Hongdae with multiple guests this is your place. I enjoyed my stay.

We stayed at this hotel for quite a long time in 2022, as we were international students in Korea. We had to change several places until we found this amazing hotel. The hotel is located in a beautiful area, within walking distance of 2 metro stations, convenient to go to anywhere in Seoul. In the hotel there is a common use area, which includes a cozy kitchen with everything necessary for cooking and a washing machine for guests. The bright and spacious rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the hotel. The rooms are equipped with everything necessary for living. The bathroom is big and clean. Very kind hosts helped us many times and were always in touch with us. Thanks to this beautiful hotel, we have the most pleasant impressions and memories of Seoul. We stayed 5 nights here with 2 kids. The unit is cozy with good heating. There’s a kitchenette and full fridge available for us although we hardly use it. The washing machine comes in real handy as we are able to wash our clothes. The breakfast is available at the cafe downstairs and it is sufficient for us although not much variety. The location of this guesthouse is easy for us to travel everywhere in Seoul. The hike uphill is quite a challenge for us especially when our kids get tired. I would like to commend that the service is really good. We arrived at 11am as we took a red eye flight. They let us check in to catch a nap before lunch. The power nap really helped us to regain our strength before we start the day. They also helped us keep our huge luggage when we took off to Sokcho although we have already check out. Thumbs up for great hospitality.

The room is really nice. It's new, clean and well-decorated. It's the style I like. It's like living in my own home. It has all the kitchenware, washing machine and oven. What's even more considerate is that there's also laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent. Now the floor heating has started and there's plenty of hot water. There are G25 and 7eleven downstairs, both of which are open 24 hours a day. It was a bit troublesome when I checked in. Fortunately, Ctrip customer service helped me solve it in time. I also want to make a small suggestion. There are too many mosquitoes when I open the window. I hope you can install a window screen and have it every day. Cleaning the room is really great. I will recommend it to my friends if they want to come to Korea in the future.

We had everything we needed so there was nothing missing. The room feels a little small when the carrier is unfolded, but the room is bright and cute. The location is good, just outside exit 10. There was also an umbrella in case we got caught in a sudden rain or snow. When doing laundry, detergent hangers are always available, so you don't have to bring anything with you. The room has an ondol so it's warm and comfortable to stay in. I brought room slippers with me, but the room is clean so you don't have to. The shower temperature and water pressure are good. The guesthouse is within walking distance from Hyehwa Station. The nightlife around this estate is also very lively, so rest assured should you need to return back later in the evening. The complimentary breakfast served is decent - you get a choice of toasted bread with spread, instant ramen or oatmeal. This is coupled with some milk, fruit juice, coffee, tea and water. However, you will need to prepare the meals yourself and clean the dishes after that. A caution that the room can seem rather small and cramped (for those needing a spacious design when selecting your overseas accommodation). My individual shower facilities also had a stench odour of what seemed like sewage, which was the main disappointing portion. If not, the rest of the facilities are good enough - e.g. The toilet bowls are clean and fitted with smart toilet seats, providing a warm sitting experience for those relieving yourselves during the winter season in Korea. The hosts were also very friendly, despite their limited proficiency in spoken English Language. There is also a shared desktop computer for your internet usage in the balcony, as well as a smart television in each room with internet-based programmes (e.g. Netflix, YouTube, Disney Plus etc.). I will strongly recommend this accommodation to those seeking a value-for-money option, solo travellers wanting a communal yet safe space to have a roof under their heads for the night. Not for the introverted nature - you will have plenty of opportunities to interact and dine with many strangers, of which some might become your global friend!
