Yeah it's basically a student hostel / dorm. But that's ok. I paid for the top level room ”Executive Suite with Terrace” and it was still half the price of the nearby hotels. Cons: - If you're over 30 you will feel like a dinosaur - No alcohol allowed in building - they will yell at you if they see you bringing back a beer to have in your room. - The rooms definitely feel like they were furnished for absolutely zero euros. They still manage to be comfortable, but they're not pretty and everything feels cheap. Pros: - Very casual - Very good value for money - Free small breakfast - Rolling blackout shutters on the room and good sound isolation makes for easy sleeping - Friendly staff - Kitchenette in room (at executive studio level) - Great little roof terrace and, if you upgrade, private terrace on the room. Young solo travelers and couples - especially if you speak Spanish - should definitely check it out.

The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. We could have communicated our presence there already to resolve the availability, but we don't use that service because we were not there. The apartment was very new, equipped with everything. We were 2 adults +2niyears. 1 bedroom and 1 sofa bed that reduces space, but it is really only used to dine something and sleep. The hotel was also in the middle of the city centre and the city centre was in the middle of the city centre. We will not know that it was until we read Google reviews. So it's true that you stop listening and there's a bum bum back, that we thought it was the aircraft. It's also true that we were on the 4th floor. We could sleep well. But I doubt that the lower plants could ... The very good area, connected to the center with a metro very close. A Carrefour express at a few meters. What cost us was to find a place to breakfast. Many bars, but closed. I don't know if it coincided with Easter, or it rained us very much and we couldn't find the streets where there were more open facilities. Generally everything is very good. We recommend it. The previous day a person from Libere called me to see if I had any doubts.

If you’re in Madrid with a family these are apartments excellent! Travelling as a group of 4, 2 adults and a 15 and 11 year old, the size, cost and location will be hard to beat. The 2 bed apartments are spacious with 2 large bedrooms, ( ours had 1 double and 2 singles that can join as a double), large kitchen and large lounge/dining area. The apartment is extremely secure and despite my initial reservations having been on Google earth and seeing all the local area spray painted, my reservations were quickly allayed when you realise nearly every shop front in Madrid is! The apartment is a 3 minute walk from Tribunal metro and access to the whole of Madrid, and 10 minutes from Gran Via ( great shopping on the way down there too ) and a short walk onwards to Sol plaza and a brilliant array of bars / restaurants. Practically, there is also a Lidl only 3 minutes away. What stood this apartment out though was the fantastic communication they provide, whether that be about how to access the apartment etc or any questions / help you may want - one such example was how to access the open air swimming pools, their quick response outlined the app to use (Madrid Móvil ) and I’d booked a family of 4 for €8 for 5 hours at the open pool at Lago (10 minute direct metro from Tribunal). They also allow you to store luggage at their main residence (this one is unstaffed but it doesn’t matter) whilst only a 15 minute walk, we took an Uber there for €4, and upon collecting our cases it was only €20 in an Uber to T4 at the airport. Great place from which to explore Madrid!

La camera che ci è stata assegnata (203) era superlativa: luminosissima, con doppio affaccio sulla strada, spaziosa e pulita. L’hostal è situato in un’ottima posizione, in 10 minuti a piedi si arriva sulla Gran Via. Stazione della metro Tribunal a 200 metri (noi non l’abbiamo presa mai, siamo andati ovunque a piedi). La zona è molto viva e frequentata, nelle immediatissime vicinanze si trovano diversi locali per colazione, pranzo, cena e anche diversi supermercati. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. L’unica nota negativa è l’impossibilità di fare colazione in albergo. Per il resto è tutto perfetto.

I'm not going to bother with every shortcoming, but here are a few: 1. Loud. Inside and from the street. The cheap plastic floor covering that looks like it was installed by Stevie Wonder is loud. 2. The young woman who cleans the rooms unlocked our door and entered. No knock. I was in a two-bed room so it's not like she was entering a big dormitory. 3. Desk personnel were rude and unprofessional. 4. Breakfast was cheap loaves of sandwich bread with butter, maybe some peanut butter or jelly. If you can afford to stay in Madrid you will want to pay a few euro for a real breakfast. You get the point. I have traveled to a lot of places. I don't require luxury. I do require civility and competence. This place falls short in every respect. It is the worst place I have stayed in all of my travels.

Please Avoid this place. It is cheap but nothing else! I stayed here checked into the receiption which is 24 hours after my working day. The place is near the metro cuatro caminos (a mainly poorer area of Madrid with lots of south american population). The area does have a 24 hour supermarket which was good as the hostal has no food/drink facilities. The room was a very small single bed as I was alone on an education course for my job. The room had a fan and tv and a small table. Once you switch off the light the fan goes off so you cannot sleep with the fan on at night with 39c heat. you cannot leave the window open as its not a safe place. The first moment I checked in, i quickly went outside to get air and get the metro outside. They checked in a drunk african man at 6pm in the evening who was walking up the stairs with a can of beer unable to walk or see anything (their is no lift to the rooms) you need to walk up around 50 stairs to the rooms. They take anyone from the streets if they pay the small charge to stay here. Second day, the two receiptionists or owners were fighting over money from the hotel they were shouting and getting agressive. Its was an uncomfortable situation to see. I left and came back after work for a shower and the room had not been cleaned. They said you didnt put a badge on the door saying clean my room. Couldnt they knock and say something? Very strange way of working? The next day I put the badge clean my room but NO nothing changed. It was an excuse.. Then I went and complained he didnt speak any English and didnt want to know he said the cleaners left and nothing he can do. I pulled off the bedsheets, but the bed protector was badly stained with blood and I also got a skin rash. I left the property 1 day early, it was disgusting. The toilets were not cleaned either and insects were crawling everywhere. This place should be closed down immediately. They dont take security or cleaning seriously, they dont want to know problems only take your money. I explained to Expedia about this place but the hotel denied everything. SHAME!!!

The apartment is located in the very central square ”puerta do sol” very comfortable to turn the whole central part of the city, near stop of the metro, shops, restaurants, bars, etc. etc. etc... Our apartment was located at the 5th and last floor The apartment was very small, the room was 2 single beds and a little more, but I think it is the most of Madrid accommodations. the private bathroom in Madrid was a very small apartment. Room, not with shower but with bathroom (where you could still do the shower n.d.r.). at the end to wash and sleep was very good. good wifi, staff present H24. We liked it, I would advise and return.

We were greeted upon arrival by a friendly receptionist who spoke English well and our room was comfortable. There was air conditioning, an empty fridge and a safe which were helpful. The rooms were also cleaned each day. Breakfast was excellent with a continental selection of cereals, breads and pastries along with bacon, sausage and scrambled egg. The location was fantastic allowing us to walk to most of the places we wanted to visit but it was also close to the Metro.

What to say about Bergantin? Well, you feel so welcomed , so safe, and you are close to everything, as well it is so nice and cozy. It is true that it can be hard to sleep due to the noise from outside, but if you mind that, then do not choose any hotel in Centre of Madrid. Whomever wants to be in the Centre will find it hard to sleep anywhere so please choose something else instead. This hotel has nice rooms, it is clean, and the staff is JUST AMAZING!!!......amazing. I have been there 3 times this year in 5 months.And last year as well was there. Thanks to Cesar, Kati, Javier and a nice cleaning lady. Cannot wait to come back!!!! Sweet rooms, bad smell everywhere to the point of giving you arcades, bathroom shared with 7 rooms with mugre (we dare not use it) the door of the room was not closed well... the bed had chinches and the sofas I think they were not clean, summarized a lot of dirt. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city. A total tim because we pay for a hostel and gives us is ”pension” for calling it in any way. I would not come back or recommend anyone who would think to spend a night there. To finish we should have a private bathroom and we meet with a griff in The room with good understanding is over the words.

Hotel that is not really a ... No reception on site which is located in another establishment****t of a adjacent street. A double-room, despite the persistent smell of freshly posed painting ... A simple room, at the same price, absolutely escaped: very demanding with bathroom of the same end; very difficult to return, no rangement possible and especially giving side street, which is particularly animated all night ... This was an excellent place to stay, the rooms are decent size, clean, beds were comfortable, ac was working well. We had booked 3 weeks in advance and we still managed to get a decent price for 3 night, if you can book earlier, you can avail of great deals. The hostal is close to the Metro stop 'Columbia' and the streets leading up to it has lovely little restaurants, cafés especially the El Horno café which was excellent, there is also a Carrefour thats open till late. It is well connected to all the main spots in Madrid by bus or metro. Christian from the staff was very sweet and accommodating- we had quite an early flight in and we just came to deposit the bags- but he let us check in early when usually one has to pay for it. All in all, great location, comfortable rooms, 20 mins away from the main spots yet near to the city center and Santiago Bernabeau stadium. Totally recommended!

Our family of three had a tiny room barely big enough for the beds and no space for luggage. The door didn't even close without having to push it past the bed. But the main reason for the 1 star is that our room was broken into our first night while we were out to dinner. The door frames are very cheaply made. Oddly, nothing was stolen but it was upsetting. We had to repeatedly ask the management to fix the door and nothing was done to make things right. We were told we couldn't be moved to another room until our last night there, even though the room next to us became available. There are no additional facilities - no common areas, no self-catering. Just a room and that's it. Some of the rooms seem to be of a good size but as stated ours was very small. There was no fridge. The hotel has security problems. It can be accessed by anyone through the back by entering through the main building doors which were never locked. There was even a ladder propped up near the back windows making it easy to climb up to access the unbarred upper windows. Repeated attempts to address this were met with indifference by the front desk staff and I was told to contact the owner. I emailed, called, and sent a whatsapp and never got a response.

Hotel with the necessary services. Sparano, but clean. Excellent location for metro (Ventas and Manuel Becerra), restaurants, services. Silent street. Not offering breakfast, but turning the corner there is the embarrassment of the choice. A friendly staff and able to meet the needs. Excellent communication also with whatsapp. Possibility of late check in up to 2am.

I and a friend of mine have been in Madrid for 4 days and decided to stay in this amazing hostel: it has all the comforts near and is 3 minutes from the Gran Via. Excellent location, front of the police command and on the street leading to the hostel there is the Carrefour open 24 hours of 24 hours. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and very beautiful: they change their handbags every day and re-room despite being a hostel. Super recommended

Excellent location, almost on Paseo del Prado and close to Puerta de Atocha station. The room was not big, but not ridiculously small, with good facilities (private bathroom, good Wi-fi connection). We did not see much of the staff but the room was cleaned every morning when we came back after breakfast (not provided in the hotel). The air-con worked well (no additional charge whatsoever), it should not have been necessary at night but for the noise of other machines when we opened the window.

The hotel is ideally located to walk to the city's main attractions. It is located A 10-15 minutes walk from the station where a bus shuttle regularly (once every 15 minutes) to reach the airport. The staff is really friendly. Check in and check out easy and fast. There is a possibility to leave your baggage if you arrive before check-in and leave after check-out. I have not given the five stars because, unfortunately, the walls are really thin and the room neighbors and people in the streets feel, but with a couple of ears, everything is resolved. Another “negative” note is that shampoo and shampoo shower are very small and very difficult to open (I opened them by stripping them with my mouth 😅). So I recommend you to take the shampoo/shampoo from home. I found it really comfortable, and I would like to recommend the hotel to all, suggesting that you should take ears and shampoo/shampoo shower.

Good location on metro and bus routes and within walking distance of many sights. Not luxurious but given the cost i wouldn't expect it to be. The apartment (1 bedroom) was clean and spacious enough. All single beds /sofa bed so if you wanted a double this room wouldn't be suitable Balconies not for sitting on as they arec tiny. Oven not usable due to no racks but hob was fine for a short visit. The bathroom was the main problem as a strong stomach was needed to cope with the smell, we had to keep the bathroom door permanently closed tight to avoid it stinking out the whole apartment. Probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend but not awful if you just want a basic place to crash.

For the price of the room ( around 140 Euros or 7 nights), I was very satisfied. It is a family run hotel and all the staff were very helpful and some speak good English. There is no lift system but however, the stairs are wide and there are only a few floors. The free Wifi connection is good and there is a bar/ restaurant which is not expensive. The Metro is several minutes walk away and easy to find.

For the price, I found a very honest accommodation. They initially put me in a good room on the reception side, but I asked to swap for the noise and they put me on the other side of the hotel (a door on the other side of the corridor. And it was great. No luxury, small room, but everything was clean and quiet. Except for a few days with more noisy guests, but nothing that would bother me much. Moreover, staff were very nice and requested and the hotel has a very legal balcony. Of course, the location is wonderful!
