Steps away from a lively pedestrian only food street, plus walkable to many other city highlights. It was easy to take the bus from the northern train station to the city center, and then walk to the building. The apartment is spacious and nicely decorated. You access the apartment with a key code. It would help if the owner/manager provided photos of the building so it's easier to find. For foreigners, keep in mind the bathroom is a squat toilet but everything else is superb. One of my photos shows the white building which is where the apartment is located on the 2nd/3rd floor depending on your booking.

Cute little hotel, with very central location almost next to the Sun and Moon Pagodas. Could also see the two pagodas from the room window. The hotel was really a pleasant surprise, well worth the price! Clean and everything seemed new. However, wouldn't recommend if you are a light sleeper, as there's a lot of noises from the lakefront late at night, people singing etc, and the soundproofing is not that good. Not sure if the other side of the building is more quiet though.

The boss contacted me on Ctrip the day before he checked in (unfortunately I didn't see it). The boss called me again on the same day. After adding WeChat, he sent me a very detailed check-in process. The self-service check-in was smooth. The hotel environment is very clean. The bathroom is separated from dry and wet areas, but there is no door, only a curtain. The geographical location is very close to Dongxixiang, Elephant Trunk Hill, Wangfu, Fisherman's Wharf, and Fubo Mountain. Guilin's shared battery cars are very convenient in the urban area, but they need to be parked in a parking space. Self-service check-out is also very convenient. We booked a non-smoking room but the room has an ash tray. There's no elevator and we need to carry the suitcase up 3 floors. Shower has no curtain so the water splashes all over the toilet. Shower is broken and water pressure is low. Shower head does not hang properly on the holder and water flows to the floor. I was almost tripped over when going to the washroom at night because the floor has two levels. One level is higher because of wood floor laid on top of existing. No clothes rack in the room so we moved the rack from the balcony for use. No side table on one side of the bed. The entrance of the hotel is on a narrow alley and no way we knew where it was until the driver called them to pick us up from the main street.
