Perfect location in the heart of “Casco Viejo”, small and clean room with all the commodities , small and clean bathroom , tv, wifi, no a/c but room has a very efficient ceiling fan. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so get ready to climb stairs. You can't get there by car, the hotel has an agreement with a parking lot located 8 minutes walk away.

Excellent location in the Viejo Casco. From the bus station 30 minutes walk or, 15 in metro then 600 meters walk. It is located at the 2nd floor of a palace. The room ”Gru” is very beautiful, spacious and bright with water bottles in the room at the arrival and even the next day. Kit bathroom present in addition to phone and hair plate. Excellent quality also towels. Room on the street with rooms, but I had no noise problems. Presented in the common room also coffee machine (solds are in the tea and tisane room. There are also bask costumes for who wants to take photos. The surrounding roads are full of shops, near the central market, I advise who wants to visit Bilbao.

The hotel itself is located in a great part of the Casco Viejo. Once you get oriented, which is not necessarily easy, you are in a great position to enjoy Bilbao. Everything you have heard about the wonderful pintxos in Casco Viejo is true; the hard part is that you can't eat everything. Walking is possible to many places, and the subways are easy to deal with, especially if you ask at the information window for help. Bilboans seemed incredibly helpful and kind everywhere I went in the city. The hotel's reception desk was also helpful and solicitous; I very much appreciated their willingness to answer my questions and help with directions. The problem was that it wasn't quite what I'd expected. My room was OK, but small. It did not resemble the photo very much. The bidet was in a community bathroom; my private bathroom did not have one. Definitely not deal-breakers, but a little disappointing. Overall a good enough place to be, and they certainly were busy, but not special.

Strong points: - Excellent location in Casco Old, ideal shopping and restaurant environment (walking distance) - Very careful and always ready to help - excellent cleaning of rooms - Kitchen equipped with basic elements for those who want to make meals - The room in which I stayed (104) was spacious (maybe because I was adapted for people with reduced mobility – I had, for example, a small bathroom rampa) - Careful staff – before my departure I could Leave my bags at the reception of another unit, with reception, without any problem, to be able to pick them up later. Points to improve: - The open kitchen, located next to the rooms, allows you to hear everything: household item noise, microwaves, if you have a light dream, this can be a problem. In my case, as a couple with two young children, I was awake every morning with noise. - The cleaning was excellent, however, as the bathroom had no windows, dozens of small mosquitos flew in the space and there was no way to ventilate very well to scare them. Something that bothered me, but I didn't complain with the staff, however, to get help. //// Positive experience. I would stay again.

We arrived via the airport bus and found the accommodation easily thanks to reading the reviews beforehand. It is a doorway with a many signs including one for Bilbao city rooms. The rooms are on floors 4 and 5 with Reception on the 4th. Check in was fast and simple with a warm welcome from the lady at reception. The whole two floors have well lit clean corridors and the lift is great. The room was a very clean well presented modern double with a large shower room and plenty of storage. The window s can be opened and I like other reviews mentioning the heat and the ceiling fan... we can say it’s chilly at night but the heating does come on at ten! The location of these room is very central and excellent l. Great transport links if needed but we walked all around the old and new parts of the city with the Guggenheim, bars and restaurants all on our doorstep. Shopping in Bilbao is fantastic and dint be afraid to visit the 2nd hand stores .. some amazing finds!!!

Für die Fahrt von Deutschland Richtung Portugal hatten wir uns Bilbao für zwei Zwischenübernachtungen und natürlich auch den Besuch des Guggenheim Museums ausgesucht. Hier fiel bei der Suche gleich das Libere Appartement ins Auge, bietet es doch einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Museum. Preislich ist das schon relativ gehoben, wenn man für zwei ÜN 530€ bezahlt, wobei hier weder Frühstück (kann man separat buchen), noch ein Parkplatz (viel Erfolg bei der Suche) im Preis enthalten sind. Um das Gepäck auszuladen, kann man wohl mal zwei Minuten unten irgendwo halten, mehr ist aber nicht drin. Dann geht es erst Mal ins Parkhaus oder unten am Fluss auf Parkplatzsuche. Das Haus bzw. das Appartement betraten wir mit einem zwei Tage vorher erhaltenen Schlüsselcode, wer es noch bequemer mag, kann sich eine passende App runterladen und die Türen dann mit dem Smartphone öffnen. Das Appartement bot den versprochenen Ausblick und wir konnten von unserem Fenster direkt auf das Museum schauen, hier gibt es die volle Punktzahl. Auch die Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, das ganze Appartement inkl. Bad sogar barrierefrei. Die Ausstattung der Küche hingegen sehr ausbaufähig. Was bringt mir eine Kaffeemaschine, wenn keine Kaffeepads vorhanden sind? Sorry, das ist heute in jedem Durchschnittshotel Standard und es sollte wohl möglich sein, dass das Reinigungspersonal dann einfach zwei oder drei Kaffeepads hinlegt. Außerdem gibt es viele Teller und Besteck, in einem Appartement, das im Normalfall von zwei Personen bewohnt wird, aber keinen Zucker, kein Salz, kein Pfeffer. Ich vermute, dass ein Großteil der Gäste für ein oder zwei Nächte bleiben wird. Wenn man dann wirklich in der kurzen Zeit kochen möchte, auch Töpfe sind ja vorhanden, macht es schon Sinn die Basics im Schrank zu haben. Sicherlich keine große Investition für den Vermieter. Aber ein großer Nutzen für die Gäste. Ach ja, wer Kleinigkeiten auf die Schnelle benötigt: im selben Gebäude ist im Erdgeschoss ein Mini-Market, der eine bunte Auswahl an Allem hat. Nur natürlich nicht die passenden Kaffeepads. Aber das war ja irgendwie klar. Fazit: die Lage ist und bleibt perfekt (fünf Punkte), ansonsten ist mit wenig Mühe noch locker Luft nach oben (drei Punkte). Macht in der Summe vier Punkte.

I needed my boyfriend to stay over while I was traveling and this was the perfect place. This isn't a 5-star hotel, but it did the trick and we were very comfortable - here is why. PROS - Coming from Bilbao Airplane or taking Bus?...: It is close to 2 blocks from Bilbao Intermodal and if you are coming from the airport, this hotel is an easy walk from where the bus drops you off in San Mamés. The location is also SUPER safe. - Transportation: If you look down the street and cross it, you will also see the tram station along with the metro station. - Food?: There is food everywhere. This is Bilbao. Spend 2 euros (or really please buy a Barik card) and go into the city, you won't be disappointed. The best part about the tram is that it goes theoretically left or right. I live close to NYC so I understand it can be complicated, but the system in Bilbao, chef's kiss. - Bed/Room: Pro? The bed/room you get in sleek, modern, and for a REALLY CHEAP PRICE! Please don't hassle your way into spending a lot of money on a hotel in Spain. It is not truly worth it. Just get this place, feel comfortable, and safe. - Staff? There are not many, but the ones that are there will help and accommodate you. You just need to be nice. I say this because I went in to check in and someone was being helped. They weren't that nice to staff, so please remember, we are all human. CONS - Cleaning: I will say, the bathrooms were clean, but the headboard for me was dusty. It might have been that the room wasn't used a lot. But please don't worry, it did not effect my stay considering the price was reasonably cheap. - THE ENTRANCE!: You need to understand, their rating is a 2/5 stars but it is NOT because they are bad, in Spain it is based on what the hotel/hostels have and DON'T have. So what they don't have is a front reception. Listen closely if you are going to go here. Once you get on the street, you will need to buzz into the door as if you are requesting to go to someone's apartment. OR they will give you a code before hand. Bilboans seemed incredibly helpful and kind everywhere I went in the city. The hotel's reception desk was also helpful and solicitous; I very much appreciated their willingness to answer my questions and help with directions. The problem was that it wasn't quite what I'd expected. My room was OK, but small. It did not resemble the photo very much. The bidet was in a community bathroom; my private bathroom did not have one. Definitely not deal-breakers, but a little disappointing. Overall a good enough place to be, and they certainly were busy, but not special.

Strong points: - Excellent location in Casco Old, ideal shopping and restaurant environment (walking distance) - Very careful and always ready to help - excellent cleaning of rooms - Kitchen equipped with basic elements for those who want to make meals - The room in which I stayed (104) was spacious (maybe because I was adapted for people with reduced mobility – I had, for example, a small bathroom rampa) - Careful staff – before my departure I could Leave my bags at the reception of another unit, with reception, without any problem, to be able to pick them up later. Points to improve: - The open kitchen, located next to the rooms, allows you to hear everything: household item noise, microwaves, if you have a light dream, this can be a problem. In my case, as a couple with two young children, I was awake every morning with noise. - The cleaning was excellent, however, as the bathroom had no windows, dozens of small mosquitos flew in the space and there was no way to ventilate very well to scare them. Bedroom with double room for single use and private bathroom. Excellent cleaning, very good bed quite above the category of membership, very good and careful reception girl and gave me very useful information for the stay and how to move. In spite of the distance from the city center there is a fabulous 50-metre train from the structure that brings you to the city center in 14 minutes! Two bus lines at 200 metres (20/30 minutes to reach the nervous points). The Metro stop is inaccessible because it is beyond the river, so the news reported is wrong! Quality ratio /prezzo excellent. You can want breakfast because there is a small kitchen in common. Very satisfied!

Für die Fahrt von Deutschland Richtung Portugal hatten wir uns Bilbao für zwei Zwischenübernachtungen und natürlich auch den Besuch des Guggenheim Museums ausgesucht. Hier fiel bei der Suche gleich das Libere Appartement ins Auge, bietet es doch einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Museum. Preislich ist das schon relativ gehoben, wenn man für zwei ÜN 530€ bezahlt, wobei hier weder Frühstück (kann man separat buchen), noch ein Parkplatz (viel Erfolg bei der Suche) im Preis enthalten sind. Um das Gepäck auszuladen, kann man wohl mal zwei Minuten unten irgendwo halten, mehr ist aber nicht drin. Dann geht es erst Mal ins Parkhaus oder unten am Fluss auf Parkplatzsuche. Das Haus bzw. das Appartement betraten wir mit einem zwei Tage vorher erhaltenen Schlüsselcode, wer es noch bequemer mag, kann sich eine passende App runterladen und die Türen dann mit dem Smartphone öffnen. Das Appartement bot den versprochenen Ausblick und wir konnten von unserem Fenster direkt auf das Museum schauen, hier gibt es die volle Punktzahl. Auch die Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, das ganze Appartement inkl. Bad sogar barrierefrei. Die Ausstattung der Küche hingegen sehr ausbaufähig. Was bringt mir eine Kaffeemaschine, wenn keine Kaffeepads vorhanden sind? Sorry, das ist heute in jedem Durchschnittshotel Standard und es sollte wohl möglich sein, dass das Reinigungspersonal dann einfach zwei oder drei Kaffeepads hinlegt. Außerdem gibt es viele Teller und Besteck, in einem Appartement, das im Normalfall von zwei Personen bewohnt wird, aber keinen Zucker, kein Salz, kein Pfeffer. Ich vermute, dass ein Großteil der Gäste für ein oder zwei Nächte bleiben wird. Wenn man dann wirklich in der kurzen Zeit kochen möchte, auch Töpfe sind ja vorhanden, macht es schon Sinn die Basics im Schrank zu haben. Sicherlich keine große Investition für den Vermieter. Aber ein großer Nutzen für die Gäste. Ach ja, wer Kleinigkeiten auf die Schnelle benötigt: im selben Gebäude ist im Erdgeschoss ein Mini-Market, der eine bunte Auswahl an Allem hat. Nur natürlich nicht die passenden Kaffeepads. Aber das war ja irgendwie klar. Fazit: die Lage ist und bleibt perfekt (fünf Punkte), ansonsten ist mit wenig Mühe noch locker Luft nach oben (drei Punkte). Macht in der Summe vier Punkte.
