Extremely lucky to have found this small boutique hotel very close to Kandy. Room are beautiful and spacious, with amazing view from the balcony, bathroom spotless clean. The breakfast and dinner were spectacular experience: plate of fresh fruits, toasts, jam, eggs, sausagge, dhal curry, rotti etc For dinner we’ve enjoyed homemade soup, devil chicken, fried rice, dhal coconut curry, roasted potatos, mango chutney - all delicious. Definitely recommend to stay in the beautiful property and very kind staff that is very welcoming and helpful.

A pleasant, quiet villa, with a certain charm, a little far from the city center. You must have a motor vehicle to go for meals in town. One of the rare hotels not to increase its prices during the Kandy Perahera. The rooms are comfortable, simple and clean. Fan. It is generally cooler in Kandy than in the rest of the country. A few years ago, a young team managed this place from the reception to the restaurant (you could have your meals there). Today there is only one man, Darshana, contact: 072 348 8416 who takes care of everything: cleaning, laundry, reception, preparation of breakfasts. The Sri Lankan owner who lives in Switzerland seems unaware that the person to whom he has entrusted the management of the hotel (who is not Darshana) is an indolent person, based in Kandy, who does not respond or responds too late to reservation requests to the point where cancellations accumulate. We have witnessed it. Too bad, it's a nice place, at an attractive price.

In terms of price/performance ratio, it is great value! highly recommended! The boss is a young man, he is enthusiastic, and his English is very good. My English is very poor. I booked it for two days, because I didn't understand a lot when I first arrived in Sri Lanka, so I always troubled the boss on WeChat at any time. Pros Very peaceful guest house, high above the hustle and bustle of busy Kandy. We enjoyed our 1 night stay here. They provided us with a delicious breakfast. All of the staff were very welcoming, helpful and kind. The bed was big and comfortable, the AC worked well and the water was nice and hot. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony, reading our books in the morning, watching the sun rise. Amazing views. It was perfect for what we needed and excellent value for money. Cons Some ants in the room. But most places in Sri Lanka so far, we’ve had a similar experiences. Overall, would recommend to family and friends and would stay again. Thank you

We are a French family and had 2 rooms during 2 nights… we recommend you to stay at the villa49. Everything was fine. Location is very good ( 15/20 minutes walk from the city center), rooms are big, air conditioning works well and not noisy, food is excellent a little bit like a 5 star restaurant. Relaxing atmosphere with nice music.. Hoppers ( kind of « egg crepes made with rice water and cocunut milk) during the breakfirst were so delicious. We want to come back soon 😉

Extremely lucky to have found this small boutique hotel very close to Kandy. Room are beautiful and spacious, with amazing view from the balcony, bathroom spotless clean. The breakfast and dinner were spectacular experience: plate of fresh fruits, toasts, jam, eggs, sausagge, dhal curry, rotti etc For dinner we’ve enjoyed homemade soup, devil chicken, fried rice, dhal coconut curry, roasted potatos, mango chutney - all delicious. Definitely recommend to stay in the beautiful property and very kind staff that is very welcoming and helpful.
