The location is good, 7-8 minutes walk from Sannomiya Station. The surrounding commercial area is also good. If you're not familiar with Japanese houses, you feel cold. The stairs are narrow and high, so it can be a little hard. But the hostel was clean and it felt like a Japanese home.

The 5 mins to Motomachi Station/harbour land park B64-1 was recently opened in 2023, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Kobe. The hotel is only 600m from Motomachi Station and 10km from Kobe Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. In addition, Kenchomae Metro Station is just a short walk away. Keeping busy is easy, with Sorakuen Garden, Kobe Chinatown Nankin-machi and Sannomiya Center Gai Shopping Street all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities.

This is very close to the new Kobe station, and also close to the Beiye Ieno Pavilion and Buyin Waterfall. Very cute house, the landlord is very friendly, and the homemade rice balls for breakfast are particularly interesting.

This hotel was amazing. Great location (15 minute walk from the high speed train station), fantastic view (whole harbor and major buildings in the area), and great service. The proprietor gave us great travel tips to make the most of our short stay in Kobe, and even wrote out the Japanese address we needed to catch our flight the next day. The hotel room is literally an apartment, complete with a full kitchen, bathroom, living room and TV, as well as a balcony with a great view. Recommended for a night or better yet a lengthy stay. The proprietor is so accommodating (New York native) and is friendly and easy to communicate with!

Maya GH was awesome. I booked a female bedbunk & individual bunk was spacious and even a side to lay out all my amenties. The room even has a wooden table for common usage. The staircase was a little steep and tiny hence luggage will be helped to carry up or down checking in/out. Destinated Female restroom and shower was awesome. Second though, it is just beside railway hence ear plug was provided. The staff was all so friendly and cheerful greeting you in/out of GH. Oh, i save a small amount of the cablecar+ropeway trip as the GH has alias with Mt Maya. Had my NY celebration with them knocking the bell at shrine & early sunrise watching with the NY food prepared by them. Awesome stay with lovely neighbourhood.

The hostel is very close to Oishi Station, only 200 meters away, just across an alley. It's a bit further from Rokko-dori Station, about a kilometer away. There are convenience stores and bakeries nearby. You can walk to Mount Rokko and Kobe University to watch the sunset and night view, a popular spot for taking photos. It's also convenient to take a bus to Kobe Sannomiya (around 200 yen). Compared to other hostels, the facilities are a bit older, and there's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs yourself. However, it's clean and tidy. The lady who checked us in spoke English and was very friendly. There was also an elderly gentleman there at other times, who was also very nice. Initially, seeing a 4.3 rating, I was worried about a bad experience, but the actual stay was quite good.

One of the brightest experiences of our journey is 2 days in Arima Onsen. Our stay in the first minutes has painted our room: big, light and cozy. The staff remembered especially: not just polite, but caring, I forgot my jacket in the cafe and a man standing at the stop came to give it to me. Thank you very much! The hotel has its own cafe, where you can buy bakes and drink coffee, with a stunning terrace. In the room there are all necessary: a recreation area, big windows, we were offered kimono and baskets so we could go in them to the onsen. It was magnificent! The hotel has no sources, but they are literally 30 seconds on foot, or the biggest public onsen in 7 minutes on foot (but with the unusual to go to the mountain in tabi sandals is a little uncomfortable but interesting). Hotly recommend, ideally from 2 nights to enjoy the full program and slow down the journey a little bit and think about life :)

The homestay is located near Xiwuzi Station. There are many foods around. Just by the sea, you can see the Akashihai Bridge. At night, the bridge is lit with lights, and the waves are heard during the day. The environment is good. The staff is also very good at serving. It is a group of young people who will help with luggage. Very lucky that night, the room was alone, otherwise it might be a bit crowded. The room will have a little taste.
