Overall, everything was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, and check-in at the front desk was quick. The hotel lobby has a self-service currency exchange machine, and the GS25 convenience store nearby is very convenient for buying and recharging T-money cards. The only minor drawback was that the bed was a bit too soft. I particularly want to commend the excellent location: First, it's just a 200-meter, two-to-three-minute walk from the 'Euljiro 2(i)-ga' bus stop if you take the 6015 bus from Incheon Airport, and the return trip is just as easy. Second, Myeongdong is only a 10-minute walk away. Third, there are many restaurants downstairs, and there's even an area that's bustling with young people late at night, so you can always find food even if you arrive late. Fourth, it's also very convenient to get to the subway, about a 5-minute walk.

We stayed on a high floor with a great view. The room wasn't huge, but it was clean and serviced daily. One day, I accidentally left the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on, so it wasn't cleaned, but when I returned in the evening, the front desk promptly provided fresh towels and slippers. The hotel service was also quite good; the staff were very friendly and helpful, and communication was smooth. Luggage storage was available too. The area around the hotel was very convenient for shopping and dining, with the bustling city center just a few minutes' walk away. Getting around was also easy, as public transportation was readily accessible with both subway and bus stations nearby. You could even see the bus and subway stations right from the hotel room window.

We had a wonderful stay at Stanford Hotel Myeongdong! The location couldn’t be better — right in the middle of all the shopping streets, cafes, and restaurants, and just a short walk to the subway station. It made exploring Seoul so easy and convenient. The room was clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable beds and all the essentials we needed. Despite being in a busy area, it was surprisingly quiet at night. Housekeeping was consistent and efficient throughout our stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with directions or requests. Overall, a perfect base for families or couples visiting Seoul. Highly recommend Stanford Hotel Myeongdong if you want comfort, convenience, and great service all in one place!

Booked it one day before check in bcus I hated my previous stay & this is such a jem find! First, hotel room is very clean, comfortable bed & pillows with 2 extras provided in the room, meaning 4 pillows in total!! Room has 2 universal plug, no need to worry about not bringing your travel adaptor! There's also lotion provided, totally caring for winter season! The shampoo, conditioner & body wash provided were good with strong water pressure, heated up very quickly! Plus, there's 12hour free luggage locker & coin laundry available here! Haven't mentioned that my hotel view is beautiful!!! It's about 8 mins walk to DDP station but with nice weather, this distance doesn't matter! There's also sheltered walkway to avoid the sun.. also the famous gwangjang market is only 8 minus walk! There's also straight bus to myeongdong... My only regret is that i didn't book this hotel for all nights during my solo trip..looks like there also airport bus available right in front of the hotel! This is my top pick for solo stay! Will stay here again!

Every time I visit Seoul, I stay at this hotel. It's incredibly close to Myeongdong, just a 5-minute walk. Right downstairs, there's a subway entrance and an airport bus that goes directly to the hotel. It's super convenient for everything – dining, staying, and getting around. I often travel solo, so I'll grab some fried chicken from Myeongdong, pick up some coffee or beer from the CU convenience store downstairs at the hotel, and head back to my room to enjoy it.

I chose this hotel for its convenient location near KSPO. It's also just a short walk to the subway station, with plenty of dining choices in the vicinity. The room itself was quite spacious, and there are convenience stores readily available. The only downside is that there isn't much in terms of attractions or shopping nearby, but it was a decent stay nevertheless.

Location is fantastic. Very accessible to Myeongdong station in just 3min . Tap water is either too hot and also the flow is too slow when you put it all the way to the cold side. Shower and toilet rooms are separated, in two different side of the hotel room. Hotel check in is self-check in using the machine, if require assistance, would need to call up at reception counter for the receptionist. The toothbrush and toothpaste are available at a cost. Washing machine and dryer are also available to use at the hotel. Room is clean. Just as how it is in shown in the pictures. Pillows however, there are only 2, for a queen size bed. In total and when request for more, they could not provide. Pillows are really soft.

The hotel was centrally located to many shops and restaurants, but the rooms are really small for the money. I couldn’t open my luggage and had to turn sideways to get between the beds. The beds stick out and only allow a few inches from the wall. I probably won’t stay there again. There were a lot of better choices for the same money that are centrally located. Try the Glad.

The Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences delivers a generally good stay. The rooms are a comfortable size, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully appointed, making it easy to unwind after a busy day in the city. The fitness center and pool area exceed expectations—spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained. However, there are a few drawbacks that can impact your experience. Weekend breakfast service is limited to just three fixed time slots (6:30, 8:00, and 9:30 AM). Arriving at 9:00 AM means a 30-minute wait, which feels frustrating compared to hotels that offer rolling buffet times or extra seating. Similarly, the pool requires reservations for certain time windows, and children under 16 aren’t permitted in the locker or changing rooms. This policy makes it awkward for a parent and child—while you can change, your daughter cannot, which seems poorly thought out. Overall, the Sofitel Ambassador offers top-tier accommodations and amenities, but its rigid scheduling and family-unfriendly pool policies detract slightly from an otherwise wonderful hotel.

The hotel's style is modern, creative, and current, so it seems very new. I thought breakfast could have had more options. The hotel isn't in a very walkable spot; it's about a 20-minute walk to Itaewon, and the road is quite steep. Choose this hotel if you care more about the atmosphere and don't mind taking taxis, which are easy to get. Uber is excellent and inexpensive. Most places are a quick 10-15 minute trip.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Seoul City Hall, bus stops and convenience stores. Staff are friendly. The lobby is bright but when you get to the rooms, the corridor is quite dark and dated. The room is good for a short stay; bathroom is small. If the lighting could be brighter than would be good. I loved the stunning view of Namsan Tower right from the window—especially during sunrise and sunset. We just picked a hotel that was within walking distance of Myeongdong and Dongdaemun, and the location turned out to be very convenient. As it's an older hotel, I didn't have high expectations for anything fancy; cleanliness was the top priority. There's a convenience store right downstairs, which was incredibly handy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ (3 out of 5 stars) Location: 10/10 | Hotel: 5/10 I booked Sejong Hotel because of its excellent online ratings (8–10 range), but the actual experience didn’t quite match the reputation. The room was large and spacious, offering plenty of room to move around comfortably — that was the highlight. However, upon check-in around 12:30 PM, I was charged an early check-in fee even though I had requested it in advance. The bathroom had hair in the shower, a ring in the toilet bowl, and a faint bug-spray odor. Not terrible, but noticeable. Housekeeping didn’t provide full daily cleaning — they simply straightened up the room, replaced towels, restocked coffee, and made the bed. It looked tidy, but not freshly cleaned. Another challenge was the daily noise from demonstrators outside the hotel. The music was loud and went on much longer than the front desk claimed (they said only an hour a day). When I asked about it at check-in, the staff initially ignored my question before giving a dismissive answer. Overall, the location is absolutely prime — right next to the train station and within walking distance to several attractions — but the higher price seems to reflect that convenience, not five-star quality or an 8–10 rating. If you’re looking for a central spot and don’t mind average service or cleanliness, this hotel works. But if you’re expecting luxury or true 5-star standards, you may be disappointed.

I was very impressed with this hotel after checking in on my first day in Seoul, so much so that I chose to stay here again on my last day before leaving. The facilities, amenities, service, and environment are all excellent. There's a gentleman with glasses at the front desk who speaks Chinese and kindly informed me that there would be an event in front of the hotel the next day, meaning the airport bus wouldn't be accessible. He advised me to go to another hotel's pick-up point about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel is also just a 5-minute walk from the nearest subway station, City Hall, and there's a CU convenience store right downstairs. Overall, it's an unbeatable choice in a prime downtown location. I highly recommend staying here.

The hotel service was excellent. When we were checking in, we realized we'd left a backpack, including our passports, on the airport shuttle. Upon learning we had elderly family and children with us, Ruby, who was at the front desk, helped us check in without our passports. She patiently communicated with us using English and a translation app, assisted in contacting the bus company, and explained the situation to ease our worries. My husband was initially concerned they wouldn't follow up actively and even tried calling the lost and found himself, but found they couldn't communicate in English, so he had to ask Ruby for help again. After Ruby spoke with them again, she asked us to rest and wait for her call. We returned to our room feeling anxious, and about ten minutes later, we received a call asking us to come downstairs. Ruby informed us that she had contacted the bus, confirmed the bag was on board, and that the bus would arrive at the stop next to the hotel in about 5 minutes. She even walked us to the bus stop (which was truly very close, about a 2-minute walk) to make sure we found it easily, and we successfully retrieved our bag and documents. Our daughter drew a picture on the spot to express her gratitude (I regretted not having any Chinese specialty souvenirs to give). Here, our entire family wants to once again thank all the staff, including Ruby. They also helped a lot during the rest of our stay and were all very friendly and enthusiastic (they even helped us call taxis, and the English communication was the smoothest compared to the other hotels we stayed at later).

The hotel boasts a fantastic location in Myeongdong, putting shopping right at your doorstep and making it easy to reach attractions like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Namdaemun Market. However, the prime location comes with a drawback: noise. The lack of noise-proof windows is noticeable. In terms of convenience, Smokers will appreciate the smoking area lobby on every floor. The 7-Eleven at the entrance is perfect for late-night snacks. An underground parking garage is available but is paid separately through the parking lot information attendant and not the hotel staff (which was a hassle) and a standout feature is the on-site Dermatology clinic that offers special discounts for hotel guests.

Facilities: The facilities are quite comprehensive. There's a hot and cold water dispenser in the hallway, and it seems there's also an ice machine. The water dispenser in the hallway is really a thoughtful touch; we hardly bought any water. Plus, there were two bottled waters provided in the room daily. We even had leftover bottled water we bought. The room had a balcony, a mini-fridge, a wardrobe, and other standard amenities, as well as a full-length mirror, which was great for taking photos. Cleanliness: The room was cleaned daily and was very tidy. The bathroom was also clean and hygienic. Overall, there were no issues with the cleanliness standards. Environment: The lobby is spacious. We usually take the elevator down one floor when we leave. Right next to it is a subway entrance. This hotel has several subway entrances; the closest one is near a supermarket, with wooden stairs. Sorry, I forgot the specific subway exit number. Service: The front desk staff spoke fluent English. I didn't encounter anyone who spoke Chinese. The service felt very cold. Our English is quite basic, and we could sense a certain arrogance and aloofness from them. The front desk service was quite uncomfortable. However, we stayed for 6 nights and 7 days and generally didn't have many requests that required the front desk, so we just ignored it. The cleaning staff were very nice, with a particularly gentle attitude. They would always greet us, and they were very diligent when cleaning the room. Location: It's about 1.3 kilometers from Myeongdong, which takes over 15 minutes to walk. There are a few small alleys next to the hotel with some eateries. If you're not picky, you can try them out. They look like small shops that locals frequent, a bit like those in a farmers' market. I'd read reviews mentioning a somewhat dark path, but it was actually fine; it's just the short walk from the subway exit to the hotel. There are three convenience stores downstairs. A 24-hour CU, and two others I don't know. CU is the closest, just a few tens of meters away. Overall, the hotel itself is good and worth staying at, but it's true that it's not particularly close to tourist attractions, requiring a fair bit of walking. Just consider it good exercise!

I have to say as a first time sole female traveler— I always travel solo and I must say! this place is a gem! Lemme tell you first, the entrance to the hotel is at the side (I am bad with directions)… if you come late and the mall is close, face left and entrance is just at the side lol. In front of the hotel, there are lots of restaurants and you can always eat as solo traveler. Lots of choices and good foods. Lots of street market vendors if you just walk 1-2minutes and love this. I initially dont like the room (because of the view) (I only book places for their views tbh) as I have initially asked for a good view room on my request and all ;; and as what was advertised but it is my mistake for not booking city view room but I saw on some reviews they got nice city view room; and had to ask for a change because I stayed for 6nights. They advised as it was late, they have got no rooms available and informed me they will change on the next day. They promptly changed it on the morning itself saving me the time in to initially checking out and wait for availability. They were really quick in addressing the concerns I have and was very helpful. Really appreciate it as a first timer visitor in the city. Will definitely come back to this hotel and will book city view room next because so worth it!!!! Thank you for being so kind and helpful ❤️❤️ DDP is just 5mins walk and was so mesmerised! I stayed here for a night out in Seoul with a close friends from high school, and his wife meeting up in Asia. As always, when staying at the Grand Hyatt, you end up not having a “night out” but rather a “night in” because the amenities at the hotel are spectacular. The live band in the lobby bar, the pool turned into the Girbaud ice skating rink, amazingly cooked steakhouse, the indoor pool, etc etc. We had a great night, and once again, when staying at any Grand Hyatt, you never know who you’ll run into. On this occasion, we had run into solo artist/actor Mr Henry Lau, also from Super Junior, and was he was not only kind enough to take a quick photo with my friend’s wife, but I messed up the photo—and after learning I had bumbled the photo during her opportunity to meet one of her k-pop idols—was willing to take another entire series of photos. The staff ended up helping me with a medical emergency in the middle of the night and stayed very calm during the entire process. Which I will also report to the company directly. When traveling to Korea—Seoul, Jeju, etc. and anywhere abroad I often stay at the Grand Hyatt in the King Corner Suite. Such a beautiful room, but on this occasion it was just a normal King River view on 9F. A bit small for 3 people, but they made a sofa bed for me while I gave the couple the bed since I only grabbed the room for us (me) for a few hours before I head back to Wuhan—allowing my friends to enjoy the hotel to themselves after I departed. Easy checkout process for them. It was very nice. Will definitely be back. Grand Hyatt <3 !

Not so elderly friendly as there’s a floor skirting partition that is too high that I kept tripping on. But regardless of that, Novotel Suite is still a great place to stay! 🎊🎊😁 All in all, I would recommend this place.

The service was quite friendly and comprehensive. The hotel's exterior and common areas have a classic yet minimalist design. The room facilities were excellent to use, like the silent mechanism on the bathroom door, the air conditioning temperature, and the comfort of the bed and pillows. The only drawback was a strange rummaging sound around 10 AM, as if housekeeping was trying to rush guests out. I can't imagine what it would be like for guests staying multiple nights who want to sleep in. I wasn't a fan of the transparent glass in the bathroom; the curtain would rattle when the wind blew, which was a bit annoying. Some of the showerhead's nozzles were misaligned or split and hadn't been repaired, and the water pressure was just mediocre, so the experience was average. The hotel is close to the subway station, making it convenient to get to Namsan Tower and Myeongdong, but the uphill walk back to the hotel was a bit unfriendly. I didn't get to use the gym and pool as I arrived too late, so I can't comment on them. However, it's worth noting that the outdoor pool and sauna are charged separately. The room rate wasn't unreasonable compared to the quality. After staying in overpriced, low-quality hotels in Seoul, this one seemed particularly appealing.

I thought it would be great considering the price plus I've stayed there before in mainland China. But I was a little disappointed. Although the facilities are maintained, you can tell they are old. Especially the shower water is sometimes hot and sometimes cold... I was a little dumbfounded how could there be such a problem. For breakfast, if you are staying for several days, I suggest you don't buy it every day because there are only four sets to choose from. But they are very exquisite~ and delicious. The overall service is great, nothing to complain about. Especially the front desk lady is super good. She helped me call a taxi. I needed to change the address temporarily and she ran out to confirm with the driver. It's great. The attitude is also very good. There are people to help with luggage when getting on and off the car👍🏻👍🏻

Upon arrival at the hotel, the doorman proactively helped with our luggage. At the front desk, we were assisted by a Chinese-speaking staff member, Xiao Liu, who was very thoughtful and meticulous, saving us the trouble of a language barrier. The room was a bit small, and the bathroom and shower were designed at an angle, which was a bit unconventional for us. The shops nearby close quite early, so to find food, we had to walk about ten minutes to a small street with fried chicken places and izakayas. Next time, I'd probably choose a hotel closer to Myeongdong in Gangbuk. The hotel has a subway station right outside, making transportation convenient.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at the Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel and Residences Seoul Yongsan. The hotel is conveniently located near the Novotel Ambassador Hotel, which is connected by a linkbridge to Yongsan Station. Yongsan Station is a hub of activity with both shopping and a train station, making it incredibly easy to get around and explore the city. Right in front of the hotel, there's an IT mall and a convenience store, adding to the convenience factor. I stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, and it was absolutely wonderful. The apartment came with all the amenities, including a washing machine, which made my stay even more comfortable. Overall, the location, amenities, and connectivity make this hotel a top choice for anyone visiting Seoul. Highly recommended!

This was my second stay here. It's excellent, quiet, and very clean. I was a little surprised that they charged for toothbrushes. The housekeeping staff were all very professional and friendly. The snack street right behind the hotel is also incredibly convenient.
