Excellent location just a couple mins walk from Town Hall station. Also has a Woolworth conveniently nearby and QVB is just across the road. Room was clean, room service was excellent and towels were replaced daily. Mini fridge and iron too in the room if needed. Bathroom is spacious enough and concierge is very friendly.

The room amenities, cleanliness, and location were all great. The only downside was the lack of a screen window, which let in quite a few moths and really put a damper on my mood. The apartment allows you to make your own breakfast, and it's conveniently located not far from a supermarket.

The hotel's location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk to the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Botanic Garden. It's also super convenient for catching a ferry from the wharf. The hotel's parking is actually at a Wilson Parking lot. We were told that booking overnight parking in advance through the Wilson app would be much cheaper; we didn't pre-book and it cost us 67 AUD for one night. If you're driving, you can navigate directly to Wilson Parking - Sofitel Wentworth, Sydney CBD, NSW Car Park. The car park entrance is on Blight Street, just behind the hotel's main entrance. When you arrive, you leave your keys with the Wilson staff and they'll park the car for you. You pay when you pick up the car, and they'll bring it back out to you.

YEHS Hotel Sydney Harbour Suites was one of the better hotels we booked in Sydney. We booked about a month in advance, and everything looked well managed. Because we booked early, we got a room with a separate bed and sofa area for a similar price to other small-room hotels — that probably made the stay feel better. The lobby area was nice, and the reception staff were professional. They also offered free coffee and cookies at the lobby, which was a pleasant touch. Check-in time is around 2 pm, so it’s good to plan your arrival accordingly. The staff kindly allowed us early check-in by about an hour. Similar to other YEHS hotels, they mentioned social media promotion, but they did not check before allocating the room. The staff were polite, helpful, and even kept our luggage safely when we arrived early. The location is very good – close to Pyrmont Bridge and the CBD area. It’s an good walk to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. The way to the CBD has a short uphill walk but is not difficult for most people. Overall, a comfortable stay in a convenient and pleasant area.

Absolutely superb hotel. The location is obviously perfect, being just a couple of minutes from Circular Quay train station and on top of the wharf for ferries to everywhere as well as just across the road from the Royal Botanic Garden and a short stroll from the Sydney Opera House. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived to the ned of our stay and rightly recommended the breakfast where everything was cokked to order (no sad breakfast buffet here). Our suite had everything we needed: fully equpped kitchen, dining table, sitting area, bedroom plus a balcony with a fabulous view of the quay and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We will definitely be back.

Good transportation link with trains, subways and light rails for airport and Sydney centre. Nearby big Woolworths supermarket, shops, cafe and restaurants. Hotel is a little hard to find as it’s not a grand entrance and attached to a residential building complex. Staff are friendly with smiles, amenities workable though WiFi is a bit unstable but overall good value for money in such central location. There’s a roof top terrace w/a small pool too.

The location is in the middle of the CBD and it is convenient to go to the sights. The room is a bit old and the WIFI signal is weak. The elevator has to manually open and close the door. The elevator has to open the door once and the floor of the first floor is not aligned. It is necessary to bend over and step on the way, which is terrible! Be careful of safety incidents. There is a waitress who doesn't care.

There are two bathrooms, living room and kitchen, hardware equipment is good, suitable for family living. But the sink in the toilet is relatively narrow, and washing your face often makes the floor full of water. The table can be checked-in at three o'clock. When the time arrived, there was still no key in the post box. Later, they called and replied that they had not cleaned it. During the process of living, some spare parts were used up, and they were made up the next day, but the more troublesome thing was that the person who came to make up did not have a key and needed to make an appointment with the tenant. In addition, pay attention to airbnb can't store luggage, you have to find a nearby store to pay for it.

Great location, but I wasn't happy with the service. 1. They mixed up the names for luggage storage with the guest who checked in. 2. The Indian staff member who delivered the luggage had a bad attitude. 3. When I called for mineral water, the DND (Do Not Disturb) sign was already on, but the staff still knocked on the door. 4. I asked for two bottles of water and an ice bucket, but they gave me three bottles of water and no ice bucket. The hotel's location is truly excellent. Hyde Park is right across the street from the main entrance, and Westfield shopping center is just out the back. Museums, art galleries, and the Opera House are all within walking distance – the location is simply impeccable. However, the service experience was quite poor. Housekeeping was slow to restock amenities like body lotion. After my bathrobe was taken for laundry in the evening, I called the front desk at 7:55 PM, but it wasn't delivered until 9:20 PM. It only arrived after I called to follow up again. Even more unpleasant was the front desk service. One Chinese staff member was laughing and chatting with foreign guests. When it was my turn, I asked if I could speak in Chinese, and he hesitated for a couple of seconds before responding with a very serious expression. Throughout my inquiries about extending my stay and valet parking, he maintained a poker face and showed no service attitude whatsoever. It was a very bad experience.

This hotel's location isn't as good as the Meriton serviced apartment I stayed in before. Although it's close to Darling Harbour, the surrounding area isn't as lively anymore. The room was ready by 2 PM. We left our luggage at the hotel, and when we returned, it had been delivered to our room. The service was excellent, and everyone from the front desk to the bell staff on the first floor was very nice. The building isn't very large. Our room faced the freeway, but it wasn't noisy; the soundproofing was excellent. The room decor is quite minimalist, and the room itself is quite spacious – not at all cramped for two people. It had two queen-sized beds, and the bedding, sheets, and comforters were all very comfortable and clean. There was a coffee machine and a small refrigerator, and the room lighting was quite bright. The bathroom was also a good size and had a bathtub with good water pressure. However, the sink drained slowly, and the shower water sprayed out in all directions, making showering a bit difficult. I eventually just gave up on washing my hair. We got a discount on breakfast when we checked in; it was A$30 per person. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate, and we enjoyed it, especially the variety of gluten-free bread and cakes, which I was particularly happy about. Despite these points, all the staff in the lobby were particularly friendly and enthusiastic, especially the concierge team. They were humorous and entertaining, making conversations with them very pleasant. My expectations for Parkroyal were quite high, but I was a little disappointed. Overall, I'd say it's a bit below a four-star rating.

This was my first time staying here and honestly, it was a disaster. The fire alarm went off three times — twice in the evening and again at 2 AM, all false alarms. The 2 AM one woke up the entire hotel, and we all had to evacuate. I took the stairs down, but when I tried to go back up, I got locked in the stairwell with no staff in sight. I had to wait for someone to let me back in, and then another 15 minutes just to get into the lift because everyone was trying to return to their rooms. It took almost 40 minutes just to get back to my room. I couldn’t sleep after that, and I had an interview in the morning — which was the whole reason I booked this hotel. No one from the hotel staff ever came to explain or apologize. There wasn’t even a single staff member in the lobby — only the firefighters. Absolutely unacceptable.

As I had business near Darling Harbour, I once again chose Ibis Sydney World Square. The location is incredibly convenient; it's just a few minutes' walk to Central Station, and both Darling Harbour and the city center are easily accessible, making transportation a breeze. As a returning guest, I specifically requested a high-floor room this time, and thankfully, it successfully shielded me from the noise of the bars at night, leading to excellent sleep quality. If you're sensitive to noise, I highly recommend requesting a higher floor when you check in. The hotel has a gym, and while it's not huge, the facilities are generally adequate. Unfortunately, my schedule was too packed this trip, so I only managed to use it once. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel this time, as there are simply too many dining options nearby, from casual cafes to formal restaurants, which offered more flexibility. Everything else maintained the usual high standard: clean, simple, and efficient service. Overall, it's a great choice that balances budget and convenience, and I would definitely consider staying here again if the opportunity arises.

We booked this room type specifically for access to the 35F Club Millesime lounge — something we discovered only exists for select room categories during a previous stay. Check-in took around 15 minutes as the room wasn’t ready on time, but the staff made up for it with attentive service, personally escorting us up to the 35th floor. We lucked out with a corner table during afternoon tea and enjoyed a stunning 270° panoramic view — a definite highlight. The evening session (17:30–19:30) was a letdown. When we arrived around 6pm, we were told the lounge was full and offered in-room delivery instead. We waited over an hour and a half, received very little food, and the champagne we had already ordered upstairs was forgotten — we had to ask again before it was brought to us. As for breakfast, Level 3 offers a wider spread; the 35F lounge wins on ambience and views but not variety. Overall, the 35F lounge simply cannot accommodate all eligible guests. If the experience is the main draw of your stay, be prepared for the possibility of being turned away — which is genuinely disappointing given the room premium.

The fireworks at Darling Harbour were absolutely stunning, and our room faced Darling Harbour directly. The kids basically lived on the balcony, doing homework, watching fireworks, and eating – they called it the best hotel of the trip. Personally, I found the room a bit small; once we opened our two 28-inch suitcases, there was no space left. Also, the lighting was a bit dim and lacked brightness. Breakfast was quite Western-style, good quality but with limited variety. The kids were quite sad when they realized there was no ice cream, no chocolate fountain, no dessert bar, and no self-service juice (compared to the Crown in Melbourne and Langham where we stayed). But as parents, we were thrilled! Less sugar intake, and the fruits and yogurt were excellent quality. The eggs used for omelets and Eggs Benedict were organic. The downside is that it's a bit far from the subway station, and the walk back to the hotel area at night felt a little dark. My biggest complaint is that in the morning, the kids left a cup on the breakfast table, and when we checked out, they wouldn't even look for it, claiming the breakfast bar staff had gone off duty. My daughter was very upset about her Tiger thermos and even cried.

Located in a bustling downtown area, the ground floor entrance is always busy, and check-in is on the 8th floor. The hotel is a bit older, and the facilities show their age, but the quality is still good, especially the powerful shower. Breakfast doesn't have a huge variety, but the quality is decent, and the window seats offer a nice view. I absolutely loved the Greek yogurt! The rooms are quite spacious, though the pool is small. Staff generally aren't very warm or proactive. The bottled water comes in a plastic bottle similar to yogurt containers, and it had a strange taste. Walkable from the hotel, bus stops nearby to take you further afield or a short walk to the ferry terminal. The breakfast is great, I really enjoyed the different options available from the a la carte menu. The evening social hour for guests was also a nice addition, though the wine was more limited in its offering to guests on the second night (Saturday) than it had been on the Friday evening, but perhaps this was due to a higher volume of guests. Still a really great touch. Cocktails in the bar were really tasty! Five stars to all the front desk and housekeeping staff! As I'm writing this, I'm at the last stop of my Australia trip, and out of all the hotels I've stayed in, this Pullman has had the best service attitude, quality, and responsiveness. Every single front desk agent was super enthusiastic and patient. Also, I saw other reviews mentioning no slippers or toothbrushes, but they actually do have them – you just need to ask. There aren't any bottled water in the room, but there's an empty bottle, and you can simply go to the first floor to refill it. The facilities are a bit dated, and the cleanliness is neither outstanding nor bad, just what you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. The location is excellent, and the renovated environment is very nice and clean. The window offers a view of the opera house, and the lobby is grand. However, the service is just average, to be frank. I particularly felt a hint of ******; they practically bend over backward for Western guests, but for Asians, it's just so-so. It's not that they actively make things difficult, but the difference in treatment is quite noticeable. Also, the shower and bathtub are combined, so it's probably best not to use the bathtub.

I’ve stayed in many hostels before and understand you sometimes get what you pay for, but my stay at Wake Up! Sydney Central was disappointing. We booked a private room for three with a shared bathroom. The room had a strong “slept-in” smell which seemed to come from the actual pillows and bedding rather than the sheets. The shared bathrooms were also quite dirty, and during our five-day stay I only saw them cleaned once. The kitchen on the first floor is far too small for the number of guests. Fridges and cupboards were completely full, and with only a few cooktops, sinks and microwaves it’s very difficult to cook or find a place to eat. The hostel is very focused on partying, with events like pizza nights and free drinks in the kitchen area. It’s also quite noisy, with partying and heavy doors slamming day and night, so don’t expect much sleep. Considering how expensive Sydney is, this place still felt overpriced. The building is run down (cracked sinks), beds have thin mattresses, and we even saw a large cockroach one day. Staff simply said, “this is Australia.” There’s also no ramp at the entrance, so heavy luggage has to be carried up the stairs. The only real positive is the great location.

GGuest UserI’ve stayed in many hostels before and understand you sometimes get what you pay for, but my stay at Wake Up! On the plus side, the city view from the higher floors is quite nice, and you can go shopping right downstairs. The atmosphere at Level 1, The Place, is also very comfortable.

The Shangri-La Hotel is our go-to for family trips. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, bright, and impeccably clean. The views are stunning, with the Sydney Opera House and the main cruise ship terminal visible, and it's within walking distance of many city attractions and shopping centers. The breakfast is rich, delicious, and tasty. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

The service attitude was a bit lacking; they seemed indifferent. However, the ability to cook is a real plus, which is quite practical in Australia. This is my second stay here. Last time I stayed for 6 nights, and this time for 2. The value for money is pretty good, and transportation is very convenient, with both trains and buses easily accessible. If you don't mind their expressionless demeanor, this place is good. The amenities are very basic, but they offer free drinks and pastries in the morning.

Really enjoyed my stay here will definitely be coming back! Staff were lovely and we had some very quiet travellers which was awesome. I stayed in the mixed dorm and felt very safe and looked after. Would recommend to anyone staying in Sydney. Great location and comfy beds.

Clean and tidy, but a bit small, no wardrobe but with a small refrigerator. The service attitude is very good. There are windows and sunlight comes in. It is close to the road, and there is noise from the train tracks on the other side, but the double-layer soundproof glass is good and does not affect sleep at night.

The old-fashioned separate hot and cold water taps in the bathroom and at the sink were really hard to adjust. It seems like most Australian hotels are like this... The service was great though, and the location was pretty good too. It's about a 10-minute walk to Hyde Park and 20 minutes to the Opera House.

I booked a one-night stay at Metro Hotel Marlow Sydney Central at the last minute. For the price, both the location and the overall facilities were quite reasonable. While it was a short stay, I felt it was a solid enough choice to recommend to others looking for value in Sydney. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. The bathroom felt quite dated, and the shower taps were a bit difficult to use. Additionally, the toilet seat felt somewhat flimsy, and the toilet itself was quite old. The Wi-Fi connection was also unreliable, so I ended up having to use my phone’s hotspot to watch YouTube. Lastly, the soundproofing was a bit weak, and I could hear some noise from the surroundings. Despite these minor issues, I believe the price is very competitive for a night in Sydney. If these small things are addressed, it would be an even better place to stay.
