The location was excellent, just near Zermatt Bahnhof and easily accessible from most places. The room came with a balcony overlooking the mountains, offering a stunning view — we even watched black neck sheep while enjoying our dinner and coffee. The stay was comfortable overall, though note that no amenities like toothbrushes or shavers were provided. Breakfast offered a decent spread of continental options with limited hot food, but the croissants were especially commendable.

The hotel boasts an excellent location and a unique, tasteful decor with wooden elements throughout, which I really loved. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, changing daily. You can even see the Matterhorn from the balcony, though my view from the second floor was unfortunately somewhat limited. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the single rooms are a bit on the smaller side. It's very convenient for the train station and exploring the town, with a Coop supermarket, shops, and restaurants all conveniently located nearby. After a 2-night stay, it was overall a very pleasant experience!

I was charged for an additional 288 Swiss FR for “additional guest”. when I checked out. only because I did not put My Son’s name when I did the booking, but I booked a twin room and my son naturally stay with me. not to mention he’s my 13 year old son. they can charge me for additional breakfast. That’s totally OK. but additional person for twin room?really? And Main thing I was not told I will be charged when I checked in. That is not fair I will reflect this to Swiss tourism office. Btw. The staff are 100% good. Very friendly but I am sickened by the strange policy.

The hotel is halfway up the mountain. You need to take a small train to go up the mountain. It costs more than 30 Swiss francs per person. If you have bought a ski ticket, you don’t need to buy a small train ticket. At the station in front of the hotel, you can call someone to pick you up, otherwise it is difficult to walk in the snow with luggage, but people still have to walk to the hotel. The hotel includes breakfast + dinner. The breakfast is ordinary, and the dinner is different every day. It is very unpalatable on the first day. The second and third days are okay. But it is also a simple dinner. But the scenery is very beautiful and you can see the Matterhorn while eating. The room is okay, each one is a mountain view room, and the hotel’s sauna and bathing pool are particularly good. You can see the Matterhorn, and it is very beautiful. Most people come here because of this. The snow trail is at the door, but you can’t slide over to the cable car. You need to carry the skateboard up. Continue to sit up to the blue and red trails. If you slide down, there is only the red trail. But it’s nice to drink champagne at the rest stop on the road.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Very near the zermatt train station, just opposite of Macdonald’s. Breakfast had a good selection. Housekeeping would check in on you and offer free chocolates. The only feedback I have is the room didn’t provide English instructions on how to dial the concierge so I had to walk down to request for items.

The location is very convenient. It takes two or three minutes to walk across from the train station. The hotel room is very new. Open the window and the balcony is full of birdsong and flowers. The hotel has a spa service. The breakfast is great. The hotel staff are very warm and friendly. The only drawback is that the bathroom is not dry Wet separation, but does not affect the advantages of the hotel

It is the best hotel in Switzerland in 8 days. The worst hotel I used to stay in before was 4 stars of 2800 yuan, basically all 5 stars. The facilities are new and the new hotel is more in my style. The service is in place, reflecting the high level of Swiss hotel service industry. The rooms are not large or small, just right, the toilets are a bit small, and the toiletries are a well-known British brand. Because the owner of the hotel loves whiskeys, there is a cabinet for whiskeys in the lobby. Whiskey in the room can be drunk for free, which is a waste for me who does not drink. The breakfast is not many, but it is very exquisite and you can eat it well. Self-driving is not allowed here, there are shuttle buses to the train station, you need to call in advance to book. Several attractions are close. The hotel swimming pool is also good, although not large, you can swim and watch the mountain view. I will definitely choose here next time. Price is also good.

The view is amazing. The service is really great. Someone was very enthusiastic to show me the room. This is the first time I've encountered this in Europe. Although the hotel upgraded the room and there is a large terrace, the building is too low and the view in front is blocked. I don't know if this price is for the first floor. I'm also speechless. But the hotel has three swimming pools and the facilities are great. But the first floor room has a smell. It feels big. It's like the smell of wooden furniture. It's very smelly. Although they helped to deal with it, I didn't want to be sprayed with air freshener again. I didn't feel very comfortable staying for one night. There is a shuttle bus to and from the hotel. When I went there, I forgot that I had walked there. I took a detour and walked for a long time.

Close to the train station. Although I got an upgrade to a double room, it was small (the table in front of the bed takes a lot of space). The bathroom was big and clean but outdated. The balcony was nice but not really needed in winter. Everyone can enter the ski room and the individual locker cannot be locked. Perfect for thieves.

Let's talk about the advantages first: a great view of the Matterhorn, you can see it from the terrace, and you can also see it when you have breakfast in the restaurant, the view is very good. The room is about 10 minutes' walk from the train station, and it's still a bit hard to drag the suitcase, but there is a free taxi when you check out and go to the station~ The other feeling is that the room is so small... There are few types of breakfast, especially after staying at sunstar, the difference in breakfast is a bit obvious. In addition, the main door is a bit difficult to find, you have to go up a few stairs and walk through a corridor to get there. I was so tired when I arrived in Zermatt that day, and it was painful to carry the luggage up the stairs. In short, the recommendation index is three and a half stars.

The best hotel in Zermatt, there are fruit nuts, chocolate, red wine, etc. You can have an extra bed, breakfast is great, there are swimming pool, billiards and table tennis. Going to the train station is also specially called a carriage, very good, at checkout The price is 100 Swiss francs more than Ctrip. After watching Ctrip’s order, I immediately refunded 100 Swiss francs. A very good hotel.

The lobby and outdoor leisure area of the four-star hotel are very warm, welcome champagne, and train station pick-up and drop-off is required. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is warm. Disadvantages: 1. The hotel gate is facing a large cemetery by the river. Although there are flowers and grass in the Swiss cemetery, it is not surprising, but you should pay attention to the room orientation. 2, 12 years old and over, an extra bed 180 Swiss is too expensive! You can book a single room next to the hotel. Be careful!

The Matterhornlodge is located about a 5-10 min walk from the Zermatt station. We arrived at about 1pm and were informed that check-in was only at 2pm so we went for lunch and returned at around 2.30pm. We were greeted by Ruth, the proprietress of the hotel, who gave us a comprehensive briefing of the house rules and policies. Ruth was very warm, friendly, and charming; she was very guest-focused and was happy to find out more about where we were from and what we planned to do. Ruth even gave us recommendations for Bern when we told her we were going there next. Although the hotel is stated to be 4 stars, we were very impressed by the room and the amenities. The bathroom came with a bidet and the toiletries provided were of good quality. The room was also very spacious with enough room to open up 2 luggage bags. The towels and robes were thick, warm, and fluffy. The breakfast provided in the morning was also quite good with a decent selection of breads, cold cuts, cheese, and eggs. At checkout, Ruth also gave us a complimentary ride to the train station in her electric vehicle. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay at the Matterhornlodge and we were very impressed by Ruth’s hospitality.

This hotel is our lucky hotel! We ended the bitter wind and rain in Switzerland here and finally saw the Matterhorn! This hotel itself is also great. The interior layout and design are very cleverly using the elements of the Matterhorn. Moreover, we only made a temporary reservation at 6 or 7 last night. The lady at the front desk upgraded our room type. The room is so big and has a large balcony. There are free coffee and tea in the room. Their breakfast is also great. Because I was in a hurry to go up the mountain in the morning, I didn’t take any photos, but the breakfast is very rich, with various fresh fruits such as strawberries and kiwis, freshly fried meats such as bacon and grilled sausages, as well as vegetables such as broccoli and mushrooms, as well as various breads, juices and milk, and even freshly squeezed orange juice. You can also go to the bar and order a cappuccino. In short, you can eat very satisfying! The best thing is that this hotel also has a pick-up service. We originally had to drag the big box to the train station for more than ten minutes, and the small car took us directly there. It took a few minutes and arrived super fast! I promise that I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I come to Zermatt!

This hotel is the best one in my 12-day trip in Switzerland. The details of the hotel are very good. The minibar in the room is free, there is beer bubble water, etc. The room is large and can be used for extra beds. There are some hot foods outside, which are included in the room rate. It is a very careful hotel. There are many things to send, chocolate, special drinks, sweets, etc. Many details can reflect that this is a high-powered hotel, although the hotel is Half-mountain, but it does not affect travel at all. There is a hotel bus transfer to and from the train station, and the hotel has a direct elevator to the foot of the mountain. The elevator is the entrance to the rothorn, very good!

The hotel in Zermatt is relatively small. It is not as good as the one we stayed in before, but the cleanliness is not bad. The only dissatisfaction is that we booked a room for two, but the front desk told us when we stored our luggage. It was said that it could only accommodate one person. If two people wanted to stay, we would have to pay extra. The front desk said it would cost 50 Swiss francs. We agreed. Later, when we officially checked in at the hotel, the front desk said that we would have to pay 69 Swiss francs and waited for us to check out. At that time, they said the total was 77 Swiss francs. In the end, we gave a total of 77 Swiss francs. I think the front desk here needs to be trained uniformly. It makes us very unhappy to keep adding money.

The stay was fantastic! The hotel gave us a top-floor room with an exceptionally expansive view; the balcony offered a direct view of the Matterhorn, and the interplay of light and shadow at dawn and dusk was breathtaking. The ground floor houses a restaurant and bar with a great atmosphere. The front desk and service staff were very welcoming. The overall environment was clean and tidy, with thoughtful design details. The owner of the store is very welcoming, the people are very good, the room is very clean, the breakfast is not suitable for the Chinese, most of them are bacon and omelettes, it feels like a small and refined hotel. Focus on the key! ! ! ! ! During the preliminary booking, we repeatedly confirmed whether Ctrip can bring two elderly children with five-year-old children. The answer is definitely no problem. As a result, when we arrived at the hotel in the evening, the boss refused us to stay on the spot and said that Ctrip’s agent informed the booking customer. With children, you can stay in a double room. In fact, you can only book a family room. Fortunately, Ctrip has a timely response to the communication and upgraded the room type to check in, but when you arrive at the store, the unpleasant experience is really bad!

The hotel is a 4-star hotel, owned by the Julen family, which has four hotels and three restaurants in Zermatt. A piece of lambskin is provided on the outdoor chairs. The hotel has hot springs and saunas, but you have to go naked. I have never enjoyed men and women bathing and sauna together in Japan, but I have enjoyed it in Switzerland. I would feel embarrassed if I didn't go naked because everyone else was naked. The hotel's breakfast is very rich. You can squeeze orange juice yourself, and there are many kinds of dried meat, cheese and butter to choose from. You can also order omelets, fried eggs, waffles, etc. The boiled eggs are also cooked just right, and the yolk is runny. For a truly memorable stay in Zermatt, look no further than the Traditional Julen Hotel. We travelled throughout Switzerland, and the view from our Matterhorn room was hands down the best we experienced. Waking up to that iconic peak every morning was simply breathtaking. The service at the Julen is impeccable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every need we had, making us feel truly welcome. Speaking of needs, be sure to grab a bite at their downstairs restaurant. The food is excellent, though the space is a little on the cozy (some might say claustrophobic) side. Don't let that deter you, though - the culinary experience is well worth it. Overall, the Traditional Julen Hotel is a fantastic choice. Splurge on the Matterhorn room for an unforgettable view, and rest assured knowing you'll be taken care of by a truly exceptional team. Highly recommended!

On the last day of the trip with four elders in our family, because we got up at different times, we decided to go to our separate rooms to eat. Halfway through the meal, the restaurant service staff loudly came over and criticized us, saying that we are a big family and should sit together at a big table and should not sit separately for a while. Come here, there should be no room. The restaurant is not big to begin with. Two large tables have been reserved. One large table is occupied by a Japanese couple. We sat at separate tables for two. Is there any problem? It's not even eight o'clock at this time. I can handle it. When I checked in, several people at the front desk were muttering in their office about what China was like. Except for a few people who were responsible for cleaning the room every day, they were very easy to get along with. Others really had colored glasses towards the Chinese people.

At the same price, Pateau Rosa is a room facing Matterhorn, just opposite the cable car, but I just want to book this one. Thinking that there are few skiers in August, this is so biased, it should be upgraded to a south-facing room for me. I booked a negotiated price of 23 Swiss francs in advance, and I spent 35 euros on the spot. Enough time, not too tired, the return journey is not bad, most of them are downhill, and it takes half an hour to walk to the train station.

I booked a negotiated price of 23 Swiss francs in advance, and I spent 35 euros on the spot. Enough time, not too tired, the return journey is not bad, most of them are downhill, and it takes half an hour to walk to the train station.

The hotel is in a great location, perfect for enjoying the quiet before the tourists arrive. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the white beer IPA is worth trying. The hotel has heating, which was very comfortable at night. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and I had a good night's sleep.

Breakfast offered a decent spread of continental options with limited hot food, but the croissants were especially commendable.

the location was good. u can see matterhorn clearly but unfortunately there is a big construction crane block some view. On the way to hotel from zermatt station if you follow the google map, it gonna lead u to hard way, very high upslope hill. it will be better if hotel provide u the easy path way to hotel.

The room is small and cozy for two people but if there are three people then there is hardly any space to move around after unfolding the sofa bed. So, it’s okay if you plan to stay for 2 nights. It was interesting that they offered free beverage coupons if you don’t avail housekeeping services. The receptionist in the evening was very cheerful and jolly for a good conversation to hear about local news.

Location is slightly further from the train station, however you can hire a local EV taxi for est. CHF5/person from hotel to the train station (together with your luggages). Breakfast spread was decent and would recommend if you’re traveling on a budget to Zermatt. Down the road you’re able to see this Matterhorn view!

Initially I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel based on reviews but it was a good stay!! Great value for Zermatt! Walking distance about 10 mins from Zermatt station, on shopping street. Toilets and stairway up a bit small but ok for us. Luckily we were located on first floor so didn’t have to climb up too many stairs with our luggage. There’s a pizzeria below. Things to note: didn’t see a bin ( only a small one in toilet) so maybe bring your own plastic bag for a bin as well as room slippers. Place was clean! However there’s some loud music that played even in the wee hours of the night like 3am, so if you are a light sleeper, you might need to put on some ear plugs to muffle the noise out. Nonetheless, A huge thank you for the stay. Convenient, Breakfast was awesome, simple spread but very heartwarming and the coffee was the most delicious I’ve had. It was the Easter weekend so there’s pretty Easter eggs for breakfast too! The lady owner was lovely and check in and check out was very easy and seamless. We stayed for a night and would recommend this place.
