Letsos Hotel

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Letsos. A big thank you to Yiota for ensuring our requests were met. The extra pillows were a great help and our room was quiet with superb mountain views. Everything was very much appreciated. The cleaners are pleasant, polite, friendly and thorough with cleaning the rooms. They work very hard. The room we had 611 was fine, lovely large balcony and a lift direct to this floor from the side entrance which was perfect. It was very, very hot towards the end of our stay. The island was experiencing an early season heatwave. The only negative point is, as others have commented, the loud, thumping music around the pool which sent us to the beach most days. There is no enjoyment in having the volume of the music as high as it was. We could hear it from Dilemma bar about 250 metres away. I'm sure other guests in neighbouring studios off site had plenty to complain about too with this booming noise.

My partner booked this hotel after visiting the pool on her last trip to Alikanas last year, assuming that the level of quality and service at the poolside would be matched in the hotel. Sure to say we were both disappointed with the reality. I’ll start off by talking about the pool/bar area which is where all of their money clearly goes into and I’m sure must be ran separate from the hotel because the two groups of staff never seem to interact. I have no faults whatsoever bar one minor gripe which is that the music is far too loud, they have a DJ on as well once a week and they just crank it to 11 when he is playing and we actually left early on that day because you just couldn’t escape the booming music. But other than that the pool is always clean, the staff are always friendly and chatty, the food is IMMENSE, some of the best food we had for our whole trip, sometimes we would prefer it over the local restaurants. The pool is open to the public as well so it can get busy on the weekends so definitely be on the lookout for that, also bring your own towels too, you’ll be purely drip-drying otherwise. If I could rate the pool separate from the hotel I would give it 4.5/5 Moving on to the hotel itself, it has seen better days I will say that much. The staff always try their best to do whatever they can to help, they are not bad or rude at all, but it all just seems a little false, every day there are at like 4-5 people complaining about something with their rooms. Also they charge €50 for air con, which is not refundable and have no remorse for, fair enough it covers you for your full stay but it really would only have the best value if you bought it on your first day. Don’t even bother asking for an extra keycard because they will just flat out say no. They initially put us in a room “close to the pool” which was up two flights of stairs, completely the other side of the pool and having to endure the smell of sewage, we asked to move rooms after this due to my wife having pain using her legs. They have apartments and other rooms across the road that are really lovely but the rooms they have in the main building, which we were put into after moving, leave much to be desired. The shower is tiny and isn’t actually sealed properly so water just floods the bathroom, the beds are so uncomfortable we woke up more tired than when we went to bed, we asked for a mattress topper (twice I might add because they just didn’t do it the first time) which helped somewhat. Aside from the solid beds good like trying to sleep with mopeds and ATV’s ripping down the road until like 2am, which I suppose the hotel can’t really help but the walls are paper thin. Hotel food-wise we only had breakfast which was a little depressing, the food was not bad by any means but the selection could have been wider and things could have been labelled at least (for allergies sake, it’s pretty clear the scrambled eggs were scrambled eggs). Hotel dated, rooms tired looking, tiny shower but you don't spend that long in your room and we did have a good sized balcony. Plenty of sunbed but music soo loud you couldn't think straight. I think when anyone asked for it to be turned down it went up another notch. Spoilt it for a lot of people we'll be going to the beach after today as can't stand any more. People turning speakers outwards to try and stop the noise as there is no quieter place to sit as speakers all around the sunbed area. This is spoiling our holiday if we wanted this noise we would have gone to Laganas. Some lovely restaurants around Rua Mat great for pizza but beware the are massive. Carissimo has great food and atmosphere with children's area. A decent hotel spoilt by music round pool when most guests are either older or with families

Very clean, comfortable room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location superb for visiting bars, restaurants etc. short walk to beach. Superb swimming pool and loungers with service for drinks food etc if you wish.

We had a fantastic time at Letsos hotel this month. We were lucky enough to stay in the Suite which had a stunning rooftop balcony and jacuzzi. The bed was big and very comfortable. The pool is really big with plenty of sun loungers. Yiota who works at the hotel is fantastic, very kind and always happy to help! The hotel itself is in a great location, many places to eat and drink nearby and lots of shops. The beach is a 5 minute walk away too.

Fabulous location beach couple minutes stroll and harbour about 10 minutes. Pool and hotel are clean and well cared for. Room we were in was fabulous, clean, great view, well serviced, friendly cleaners. Felt more like a 4*. Good selection at breakfast. Our Beds were comfortable, rooms airy and clean. We had a two bedroom with the girls being upstairs with internal stairs and own bathroom for privacy. Reception staff couldn't do enough to welcome you and make you feel at home. We came for our twins girls 18th Birthday and the staff went out there way to make them feel special. I would recommend this hotel for families (pool area is fabulous, very modern recently renovated), for couples and friends. Located by plenty of tavernas, bars and plenty to do. We will definitely be returning soon Thank you for an amazing stay

Before you come you should know the double sun loungers in the middle of the pool are 70 euros, even though we were told they were free by a member of staff, which was disappointing as we were looking forward to sitting on them. Our room was actually really nice, and the showers were lovely. The rooms were cleaned everyday however our sheets were never changed, which I would have liked since there was sand in their from when we went to the beach. The pool area is really nice, and you have staff coming around and taking your food and drinks order. Cocktails are really nice, so is the food, especially the burgers, they were lovely. Nice enough area, lots of bars, restaurants and shops nearby and a 10 minute walk to the beach. You have to pay extra for the air conditioning which I find crazy, 50 euros extra, which I have never experienced before in an hotel, that annoyed me as it does not say that prior to booking. The water in our room also stopped working a couple times which was annoying. It also smells quite a lot of sewage around the hotel and pool, which is not nice whilst you are sunbathing. We had a weird experience with the reception woman, I don't know how to explain it she just had a strange vibe. When we were leaving she was also shouting at one of her cleaners, which made us very uncomfortable. Overall quite a nice hotel, I would probably stay again.

We were really looking forward to staying here but what a let down! The rooms have seen much better days and badly maintained. Our 1st room, we were moved after2 days and complaining that having to use stairs whilst being physically and visibly disabled wasn’t really safe, had jammed doors onto the balcony, a shower that flooded the bathroom and bedroom and the main door didn’t lock! There are fridges in the rooms but the electricity goes off when you’re out of the room so you can’t store any perishables in it. It seems all of the money has been poured into a lovely pool and bar. The food was awful, very narrow selection and heaven help if you have allergies or are coeliac as nothing is labelled. We were half board but had to eat elsewhere due to life threatening allergies. There were at least 6 guests per day, while we were there, demanding room changes or threatening to leave for other hotels and demanding refunds. Take your own towel as pool towels don’t exist there. There were extra charges for air conditioning and even if you wanted towel changes in the room other than the scheduled 2 day change. The staff, I must say, were excellent and tried their best to resolve matters. It wasn’t a restful 10 days as the hotel is off the Main Street with cycles roaring past until 2-3 am everyday. The walls between the rooms are thin and all sound is carried along corridors so no rest there if someone came back late at night. We know everyone’s secrets and lifestyle as you couldn’t help hearing everything from the adjoining rooms clearly. All in all I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone!

Second visit to here and both times excellent, friendly, helpful with an excellent pool and bar,looking forward to a third visit, beautiful island beautiful people how the world should be. My daughter loved the strawberry daqurias. Go visit
