Visited here this evening for a meal with friends, seated at the table and served drinks straight away. It was a Good meal overall and our waiter for the evening was called Sam. We found him pleasant and helpful throughout the meal and he checked on us multiple times to ensure it was a good experience. We will be visiting again.

Rooms are ok but obviously need a refurb. Food is great and the bar/FOH staff were excellent; running around and not stopping throughout the evening. Unfortunately, this cannot be said for the duty manager who (in the 3 hours we were there) did not at any point, step out from behind the bar. A large, busy restaurant cannot be run from there. There was no interaction whatsoever, with customers, from her...

Always get a great meal at the Millers - been for lunch, dinner and a Sunday roast! Sam is always such a nice person- he has excelled interpersonal skills and always cannot do enough for you! Sam is a real credit to the team - bar staff too are funny and welcoming - absolutely lovely place with a relaxed a**osphere and just great company xx

Disgusting meal....a piece of supposedly steak you give to a pet...It was so small no bigger than a coaster...asked it to be medium well done came back rare to blue..so much so the blood squirted on to my shirt ,just a piece of gristle...had they have cooked it properly it would have been the size of a digestive biscuit half a tomato coddled chip sticks out of the packet, and peas..on a huge plate it looked ridiculous....Valentines Day completely ruined by this substandard food.......stay clear....

Popped in here for Sunday lunch after reading good trip advisor reviews. Lovely setting, very relaxing sitting near the water mill inside the restaurant and the drinks were great (Guinness 👍). Cute sheltered courtyard area in between hotel entrance and bar entrance if you wanted to sit outside. Ordered 2 x turkey but advised sold out, so ordered 1 x pork with baked red apple and crackling and 1 x beef (served pink) with pigs in blankets. Advised no pigs in blankets so accepted extra roast potatoes in exchange. Both dinners arrived quickly but both extremely salty and very well done, with dried chewy meat, hard dried potatoes and chewy dry reheated Yorkshire puddings. The pork dinner was missing the baked red apple and crackling. The extra potatoes had been exchanged for extra Yorkshire puddings without informing us. The extra gravy served in the gravy boat was so thick it wouldn’t pour and instead fell out in chunks! It was so salty it completely overpowered everything else! The only saving grace was the cabbage and peas which were crunchy and tasty. The waitress kindly removed our plates and said she would speak with the kitchen to see what could be done about our meals. Unfortunately she failed to return to us so in the end we gave up and left. (Meals and drinks paid for when ordering). Overall very disappointing experience! Wouldn’t recommend for Sunday lunch.

No air-con in the rooms meaning was boiling all night, very dated and small rooms and the walls are paper thin, woke up multiple times by other people walking and talking.

Meal out on Sunday. I had a steak which was okay, bit chewy but was told they had run out of chips? However could have mash or roast potatoes or French fries? Weird, they are all potatoes 🥔 🤔. I opted for French fries, clearly frozen. Felt cheated as its a treat to go out and costs alot of money. If I wanted French fries I could have gone up the road to Macdonalds or KFC for a quarter of the price. Embarrassed as I have recommended The Millers to others, in the past and given good reviews. Shame really, we were coming for my daughters birthday but have booked somewhere else.

I stayed in room 10. Filthy and in disrepair! Sagging bed, peeling paint, stained walls hastily patched with non-matching paint, falling wall paper, dribble shower, water-damage to walls and ceiling from above and looks like it might cave in at any time, light shades revolvingly filthy, corridors dark, dismal and dirty, noise from the road though not a road facing room, net curtains need washing… or binning. Everything smells of a vomit-inducing combination of old chip fat and chemical pot pourri. For £85 excluding breakfast it ought to be a LOT better. Stay at a Travel Lodge for half the price and twice the quality.
