Atlantica SunGarden Beach

We are just returning from a week at this hotel, 2 adults 2 children (7 & 14) I’ve never wrote a review before but I felt I needed to this time. The hotel is lovely, great location with easy walk into Ayia Napa and lovely walk across the cliff front to a lovely beach with crystal clear sea. Food was great, different theme every evening and always something for all of us to eat (littlest is fussy and lived off pasta but she was happy) pools were great, we stayed by the oasis pool as that’s where the music was and the kids could go crazy, the other was a relaxation pool which still seemed lovely. Evening entertainment there wasn’t a huge amount but we sat in the meridian bar and listened to the live singers and played cards. The main reason for leaving the review is due to the staff, I can honestly say I have never been anywhere with such friendly and helpful staff, they genuinely go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay but they also seem very happy in their jobs and work well as a team. Thomas was great in the evenings getting up and showing off his moves on the dance floor to the live music, Ana always happy and ensuring we were well fed and watered, Itsi with a smile plastered to his face and Reshad went out of his way to talk to us whenever he saw us. The cleaning ladies were also amazing and so were the reception team who kindly moved us to a new room on day 1 as ours was a little snug. The team never stop working and do some very long shifts but you would never know! We have never returned to a hotel before but I feel Atlantica Sungarden Beach will be the first we do. We are a family of 6 with a 9 year old and a 12 year old girls and parents in 70’s. The reception is nice, staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is very clean. We went for a suite, ours has 2 bedrooms a living room, 2 bathrooms and 3! Balconies with beautiful sea views. The pools are nice and the food is good with lots of choice. There are lots of weddings at the hotel and loud music until 11.30pm ish. The beach is a 5 min walk away and lovely but difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Drinks are fine, no brands. Entertainment is poor for families… some bad singers and a mini disco where the girl running it hasn’t made a play list on her Iphone so the kids are stood waiting for ages between each song 😂. I get the feeling the hotel is trying to be a catch all catering for weddings, families, couples. We wouldn’t come back due to the poor entertainment. Our kids are too young for Ayia napa and there are only so many family card games you can play together, we have been to other AI hotels that tick all our boxes. Lots of reviews say the same not sure the hotel are bothered? Such a shame as it is lovely and they would have got return customers in us just by changing this. Bed on our holiday by 9.30pm is a bit boring …shame as we love a dance.

We were all inclusive and arrived very early morning and the staff were still there to greet us which was wonderful … they offered us food and drink … the room was facing the pools and seafront. Honestly could not fault the hotel food or drink ( pints ) … the staff in each depar**ent went above and beyond ensuring our stay was fantastic. Little things like conveniently located foot wash ( for sandy feet ) and waiters presenting coasters for your drinks. The management here should be really proud of their staff & maids they really do have a great team. Thank you to Andreas Papaeleftheriou to all the staff in the restaurant for looking after us so professionally. Add to this there’s the most amazing beach 500 yards away & of course the sunshine ☀️ We would have no reservation in recommending this hotel on our experience. We’d love to return here one day .

Great hotel! Lovely room, brilliant shower, kettle tea/coffee, fridge. Beautiful view. Food is first class! Staff are lovely. Location is beautiful! 4 minute stroll to the sandy beach, loads of sunbeds/shades. 2 beds and a sunshade €7.50! Hotel clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back!

Really lovely hotel,the staff here can’t do enough for you nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile,the food is excellent and plenty of choice and spotless aswell would recommend this if you want a quiet and relaxing hotel,and the beach is right on your doorstep.

Was given this hotel as our previous one we booked was not ready for our arrive but I’m so glad they did. Such a lovely welcoming place to visit with stunning views and excellent staff. The manager Chris was so helpfully and made our stay so much easier, such a pleasure every time we see him would have the biggest smile on his face and made sure everything was okay. Had a little problem with the clothing rail in our room, he had it fixed within 30 mins whilst we was at dinner. The maids were lovely and such an enjoy in the mornings. One particular maid went out of her way to make conversations and asked if we needing anything. Will 1000% be returning if not for the beautiful place itself, for it’s amazing staff.

I don't usually leave reviews but felt I had to for this hotel as it was fantastic, the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you... and the views were simply stunning! I booked this hotel on a whim without doing any research on trip advisor so was initially worried... I didn't need to be as it was wonderful! We had a family room with a sea view. The rooms are nice, clean and modern and have everything you need, and the food was great with plenty of variety and all dietary requirements catered for. There was entertainment on in the evenings by way of singers and Ayia Napa was only a 10-15 minute walk away if we needed to walk off our evening meal (slight incline on the way back from central Ayia Napa if you walk on the pavements, but you can also walk along the beach to and from the harbour - it was a little too dark at this time of year for us - I bet its lovely in the summer!) We have been to Cyprus a few times and this hotel has been my favourite. We had rain for a few days whilst there but it still didn't spoil the holiday. The views are breathtaking and ones that you never get bored of... I didnt want to leave and would definitely book to return again in the future... We stayed here in April 2024 as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). Upon arrival the hotel changed the room that we had booked. They gave us a family suite which was huge but had a tiny balcony without sun beds. The next day George at reception showed us around a few rooms and we picked the room we preferred. Sea views are beautiful and worth paying extra for. The housekeeping of the rooms were always of a god standard. Fridge in the room. Tea, coffee facilities in room. Housekeeping filled it up daily. Tv in room but not many channels in English. Hairdryer and air con. The food at the hotel was of a really good standard. Lots of choice and different meats and fish served regularly. They even made some salmon for me separately without sauce so I could eat it. The Al a carte restaurant food was delicious. Service was great and staff very friendly. I also liked that this hotel has snacks in between meal times like crisps, popcorn, sausage rolls, sandwiches and fruit which you don’t always get at Al inclusive hotels. I can’t comment on alcohol as I wasn’t drinking but my husband said the beer and spirits were good. Hotel gives bottle water for free also on Al inclusive. There were two separate sections for pools. One section has a large pool and a children’s pool where floaties can be used. Music around the pool. The other section has an adults only infinity pool and a family relax pool where no floaties are allowed and no music. I preferred the family relax pool for the sea views but also I didn’t enjoy the loud repetitive music they played at the other pool. I think changing up the music so the same songs are not on repeat daily is a must. The beach is a short walk to the side of the hotel so made it easy to go to and also come back to the hotel for food at lunch time. We also took food with us from the hotel to the beach. Staff never said anything to us about this which is good. Some hotels we have experienced staff not allowing us to take snacks for children to eat in between breakfast and lunch which is silly when you have paid for it. The beach is gorgeous with soft golden sand and shallow clear waters. You have to pay for sun beds on the beach around 2.50 euros each. Personally I didn’t think the nighttime entertainment was very good. There was a different singer on every night that I didn’t think was particularly interesting really. Also as the entertainment lounge is small seating would get filled up very quickly. We didn’t go to this hotel with the idea of staying up all night watching entertainment anyway so wasn’t really a problem for us however having some different types of shows on would be a benefit I think. There wasn’t a lot for younger kids really. It wasn’t an issue for us this holiday as we wanted a more relaxed holiday but something to bear in mind if you go with children. We had the most amazing Easter break staying at this fabulous hotel. The location is perfect short walk along the beach to Ayia Napa, bus stop outside if you wanted to venture off to other towns. The staff at this hotel are probably the friendliest staff we’ve encountered on any of our holidays. Rooms cleaned daily again by smily and friendly maids. The food we highly rated and probably one of the best taste wise for hotel food and we’ve stayed in 5* hotels over the years. Themed buffet every night with chef station cooking fresh food, Breakfast had huge variety and again all delicious. The pool bars are really handy for lunches my kids loved the hot dogs and sandwiches and helping themselves to crisps and popcorn. A la carte is worth a visit you get one free per stay if your All Inclusive My daughter loved her daily face paint and the mini disco the lady (unfortunately don’t know her name) worked hard every day and again always friendly and happy. We’re so happy to have found this gem of a hotel and pricing up to return in October as we loved it so much! Thank you Atlantica Sun Garden for an amazing holiday!
