I had been looking forward to this visit. The hotel is charming. The villas are just as they appear in the pictures. Bed is comfortable. The bathroom is just about ok. There were some issues with water during our stay. They would run out of water every evening and we had to call the reception. Also there are plumbing issues all over Bali, specially Ubud. The room sizes are just ok. With all that space, they could have built bigger rooms. The pool side had a lovely deck, but with heavy rains, could not sit out there. Our villa overlooked rice fields. They had Indonesian and American breakfast options and we opted for American/continental and were happy with it. The bar made nice drinks and we enjoyed that in the evening. Since we had heavy rains during our stay, we spent more time at the hotel than envisaged. Yes, it is a little outside Ubud but for me it was fine. You do need a vehicle to get into the city. But Ubud is a day city and everything closes by 8. Even restaurants close down early. You can use their shuttle to get into the city and get a taxi back from the city. Their massage spa is absolutely wonderful. We had massage everyday. The only downside for us was the depth of the pool with our villa, with no proper steps to get in. 5 feet deep with a single step. So if you don't know swimming and just want to relax in the pool, this is not for you. and without proper steps, you have to rely on your muscle strength to come out of the pool. which was very difficult for me. There is a beautiful wood craft shop right outside the hotel. better than what city stores have. There is an ATM also around the corner and nice temple about 250 mts from the hotel. Their jewelry store with beautiful jewelry designed by Madam Suarti, is amazing. I wish I could have purchased more from there but being on vacation my budget was limited.

Our 3 nights stay here was amazing. Our wooden villa with private swimming pool was really nice. The water of the pool was always warm. People very kind and helpful. Breakfast not buffet. It's a fixed menu with 4 kind of breakfast to choose from. Around 2 km from monkey forest on foot. If you book the villa long time before staying you will find really low price!

The hotel staff all spoke English, not just the reception but the caretakers and pool staff too. The restaurant is very nice with lots of options and extremely cheap food. We had a complimentary couples massage which was very good and lasted 60 minutes. The room was very clean, not a sign of any insects apart from the occasional mosquito in our bathroom (this didn’t bother us as we had spray as any normal thinking person would bring to a jungle). The shower was hot and powerful, and we had new sheets, towels and bottles of water everyday. The area of the hotel is very convenient, about a 10 minute walk from the monkey forest. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who can 1. Walk 0.5 miles without moaning and 2. Realises Ubud is a jungle therefore you will most likely see some sort of insect around the property.

The room is dark and has some insect all over the room, including the bed. The pool is fine and fresh, and the room area it self is okay. Its very rustic. Breakfast is very little options and portions, and you will be charged if you ask for more. Ubud in general is beautiful, and the people are really nice and friendly.

Stayed two night in a two bedroom villa with pool. Two nights in this hotel is two nights too many for any traveler. First impression of the property were not flattering. The grounds have seen better days. The main motor court has several covered parking spots for hotel/guest cars. The roofs over half of the covered spots were either falling down or had completely fallen down. Then when you check in, the receptionist tells you, their Visa system is inoperable. The property was closed for COVID. It reopened in September 2021. To this day, reception is still only capable of accepting cash or local debit cards. Unless you book your stay through an online booking agency and pay the agency using your Visa card online, be prepared to pay for your stay with cash or debit card when you depart the hotel. At my insistence and over an hour of scratching their heads, they were able to figure out how to accept my Visa card, but only by running the charge through the visa system of the on site restaurant. The front desk is clueless. The room was nothing like the photographs online. Photographs can make any pig look attractive with enough lipstick. The hotel website advertises every room has hairdryer, toiletries, minibar and digital safe. All of which were not present in my room. When I questioned staff about it, their only response was that housekeeping had to remove the safes from each room. No reason or apology for the lack of minibar or bathroom amenities/hairdryer. During my stay, the phone system of the hotel had been bloken for the last month. The hotel's solution was to provide every guest with the hotel's WhatsApp number. Any requests from the room were to be directed to the WhatsApp number. Using WA as a temporary solution while the hotel could not figure out how to fix their phone system is great if you have a local cell phone. If not, good luck because the wi-fi access in the rooms was nonexistent or barely accessible. And when calling the WhatsApp number on the first morning to request a coffee, I had to ring the number 8 times before someone answered it. Which seemed a bit odd, because I could hear the hotel Whatsapp cell phone ringing from the patio of the villa next door to mine. With or out a minibar, one would expect the room to offer at least complimentary coffee and tea- just as every other hotel in the area. Well, think again! The room did have coffee cups/saucers for four people on a tray in the kitchen along with an electric tea kettle. The only problem is there was no tea, or coffee available- just a wooden box with one packed of sugar inside. I asked for coffee and creamer. I was told they did not have any from their supplier..... UNACCEPTABLE So every morning, I would WhattsApp the front desk and request a latte from the restaurant. Seems simple enough right? Well, not for Suarti. They had to wait for the restaurant team to arrive at 7am and then still send a waitress to the room to take the order for my latte by writing it

A wooden house complex, all the villa was made from old whitewashed wood, just a 15 minutes walk from the Ubud main tourist attraction, where shops, restaurants, spas and art galleries. Had enjoyed a walk through the main road to monkey forest which is a half round and realize that just across the hotel, imagine if there is a shortcut ridge walk to monkey forest.

The photos on *********** were amazing. When arriving, the cottages look super cute and each has its on Balinese entrance. The cottage itself looks lovely, but it wasn’t very clean. Also, there was no water on the room. I don’t know if that’s only during this corona time, but it’s a bit weird since there are cups and a cooker in the room. The staff is very helpful. The food in the restaurant is very good and the prices are also very nice. Maybe even too cheap for a resort with private villas. The breakfast is also good. The location is great, it’s around the corner of the center of Ubud. You can either walk or take a Gojek. The reason for 4 stars is the cleanliness (which wasn’t very good). Also, I thought it was a pity that all villas didn’t had privacy on both sides. Either your neighbor could see you when he can out of his Balinese front door, or at the back someone in the rice paddies or fruit garden.
