The worst thing I feel is no air-conditioning (so far I have not stayed in a four-star hotel without air-conditioning in China. I chose to live in Barkol on the first day of entering Xinjiang. The scenery is beautiful all the way from Hami across the East Tianshan Mountains. It is also good to stay in a hotel. The hotel room faces the snow-capped mountains and the grassland, which is very nice. The breakfast is also passable.
