Our two elderly people were introduced to Luang Prabang by our daughter and booked this hotel, RELAXFUL HOTEL, which is located on the bank of the Mekong River and less than two kilometers from the city center. We spent four days and three nights in a leisurely and comfortable stay. We moved to room 104 on the first floor, which is 38 square meters. It is very quiet and is not affected by the noise of the air conditioner outdoor unit. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the shower hot water and air conditioning are also very powerful. It is very close to the restaurant, swimming pool and front desk, and the WIFI signal is still good. The swimming pool is not big but the water is clean and warm. The hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off stations, free breakfast is light and affordable, and there is freshly ground coffee. You can also enjoy lunch and dinner a la carte in the restaurant. Go to the city center to visit, participate in charity activities, and visit the morning and night markets. The hotel will use purple and cool electric cars for free pick-up and drop-off, which makes you feel at home! The hotel owner Yao is a Chinese born in the 1980s in his thirties. He enthusiastically and carefully helped us to develop a tour plan, exchange foreign currency, contact car rental, and buy return tickets. He also helped to exchange the excess foreign currency. He also helped us to set the menu, help us to send local voice phrases one by one and mark them in Chinese for us to use when we go out. The hotel staff also speaks Chinese, which makes communication very convenient. The service is warm, considerate and thoughtful. The deepest impression is that the front desk, guest room, restaurant staff and management staff, including staff of various types of work, are all well-mannered and very polite to guests.
It is worth mentioning that when visiting the Royal Palace Museum, my husband's newly bought Zulijian elderly shoes were taken away by someone who liked them (the museum needs to be visited barefoot, and the shoes are taken off and placed at the door). When the hotel manager Yao knew about it, he immediately helped us communicate. When he learned that the museum was powerless, he immediately sent a car to bring a pair of slippers to take us back to the hotel.

Take this opportunity to complain about the filling of the entry and exit forms of Laos. You will fill it out incorrectly no matter how you do it. Finally, I understand the ultimate meaning of the customs officers' denial: you have to pay 10 yuan or 60,000 Laotian krona. In total, Laos, as a country, collects these two fees from tens of millions of Chinese tourists who travel in and out of the country. The cumulative amount is quite considerable in a year. No wonder it is so shameless to cover up. As a Chinese citizen, you can choose not to travel to Laos, or choose the Belt and Road Initiative to support Laos' economic development, which is to help ourselves. Just prepare the two sums of money and let them stamp them happily, or give you a blank entry and exit form with a stamp. Don't embarrass the Laotian customs officers.
