Aparthotel Mariano Cubi Barcelona

Barcelona|0.17km from Cielito Lindo Barcelona
We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon. We spent almost €1.000 and I wish we went somewhere else. We pre-ordered a bottle of Cava which the receptionist mentioned to the manager when we checked in. We figured they would bring it up when we checked in but it seems they forgot and I had to call reception to get it delivered. No big deal. But they failed to mention that there was construction going on. We stayed on the 5th floor and there was construction going on the floor above us every morning-late afternoon, not allowing us to rest after busy nights in the center of Barcelona. We purposely stayed here, away from all the commotion of the city so we could rest and we were woken up to construction every morning. On our last night, after spending all day out, we expected to come back to our room and be comfortable before our last sleep and 8.5hr ride back to USA. Little did we know that the AC would stop working and reception said there was “nothing they could do.” It’s colder in the hallway than in the room! We didn’t complain when there were ants in our kitchen every morning. We didn’t complain when I saw roaches in the lobby. We didn’t complain when the TV remote batteries died and reception said they would bring them right up - never did and we had to buy our own batteries for the remote. But I’m complaining now. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel? Do yourself a favor and save your money and book somewhere else. This is our 3rd hotel of our Spain honeymoon and it was the worst one. Do not recommend.

Excellent experience in the aparthotel. This is very well located with a 5-minute metro station, along with numerous bus lines and very close to the tourist and central areas. The room has a small kitchen with all the necessary equipment for two people: household, vacuum, glass ceramics, microwave. The hotel has a nexpresso coffee shop, where the coffee capsules are repaired every day. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. We have a parking service with some web/app parking bookings.

We were listening to the floor of all (it is a floor with rented rooms) and at 7 a.m. they were giving voices and we were discovered. The window doesn't isolate noise and all the noise of cars and street people is heard. The persian we had to go down with the hand and despite requesting a private bathroom touched us a small shared bathroom. Now the worst thing comes: my couple left a sweaters in the box and we talked to them to warn them. No one answered us until long after they said they hadn't seen anything. The fools have been made. The cleaners found it and stayed and didn't say anything or if they told the hotel men but they were doing the fools. We need our things and they say they have not seen anything when we obviously know we leave it on the left side of the box. It was 2 a.m. and it's normal that if there's a failure that is not ours, you come to open us or help us, but no, it made us go to another location where we had to pick up a taxi to go and back and made us go to pick up a key. The gesture is very bad, if I'm the customer the normal thing is that you come, not that I have to go to you and then come back. That if, they paid me the taxi, I would miss more. The truth I don't recommend it at all. I am waiting for you to be courageous to admit that you have stayed with our things we leave and that they won't give us it.

Stayed at this hotel for around 6 nights and it was a great stay. The location is great being close to several metro/subway/bus stations (closest is less than 5 minute walk and the farthest around 10 minutes). The hotel looks new and the facilities are fine; the room and bathroom are a good size and beds/pillows were comfy. Our room was on the 2nd floor, quite, no view obviously but the doors are a bit heavy and they shut down aggressively so if you’re a light sleeper like me, make sure to take your ear plugs as to not wake up on ever door shut. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, same thing repeats everyday but it has all the basics (Croissant are gooood!) The staff are amazing and super helpful. My parents had an issue with their AC and the 2 ladies at reception did everything they could (at 2 am!) to move them to a better room (special thanks to you girls, unfortunately didn’t get to know your names :/ but you know who you are👏) I’d definitely stay at Pol & Grace hotel again!

Staff is friendly and amazing. They accomodate your needs as much as possible. I was lucky enough to stay during low season (March) and I was alone most of the time, so I can't complain about noise or about sharing the toilets. The shared toilet was always very clean anyway, I think it gets cleaned daily. I think breakfast was great, but don't expect cooked breakfast. The location is ideal.
