Very out dated place, not real clean at all. Felt like we had to clean the whole place down before we prepared anything in the kitchen area. Water was very discolored in kitchen and bathrooms. We kept water for drinking in a glass container and in just a few days the glass jugs was yellow. Had to get gallon jug water from store to drink the rest of the week.

Review of 2 bedroom unit at Senedo Springs, water is from a well and stains and odor are ever present. take your drinking water with you, water pressure is almost nil and taking a shower is a challege. The road up to the condo is very primitive paved and you bounce all the way and back and you go about daily activities. Parking lot is gravel and parking lot is tight at best.

Do NOT stay at the condos at this property. The water is brown and smells and tastes of rotten eggs/sulphur. We were told they “shock” the water which may make it “safe” but it is unbearable. I am giving service one star because when we called to check out after two days of living on bottled water, we were told they could move us to a duplex. Why not put people in the duplexes first knowing the water situation is so bad? I’m only going to briefly mention the spiders and ant infestation in the kitchen…

This place was a room in a condo on the side of a mountain. Nothing else. It is not a resort. The nearby lake was a pay to enter lake. The pool they gave us access to was 2 miles from the room and was only open during office hours (M-F 9am - 5pm, S-S 2pm - 5pm). The unit was spacious enough, but the furniture was old and uncomfortable. 1.5 bathroom and they were both small. Water pressure was weak. Water barely trickled out of the half-bath sink. Kitchen was smaller than most resorts, but functional. Televisions were small but worked well. The staff person we spoke with was friendly and helpful. We spoke to her at check in but that was the only time. The office to check in was in a building that looked abandoned and run down. Once we got inside it was fine, but outside was not welcoming. No amenities on site and the nearest shopping and dining was 20 minutes away. There was a local convenient store and a local restaurant within 5-10 minutes, but not much else. If all you want is a getaway mountain condo to do some writing or reading, then you might find this place more to your liking, but for anyone else, there are better places to stay. I hate giving poor reviews, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this place.

The place was clean and spacious, and everything was in good working order. The bedding was good quality with beautiful views of the woods. We really enjoyed the wood stove and the sauna. The decor is dated but overall was in good shape. We didn't care that there was an old TV from the nineties because we weren't there to watch TV. The nearest grocery store is twelve miles away down a very winding road so I would recommend doing your shopping during the day and stocking up the refrigerator. We had a few stormy days and stayed by the fire, cooked great meals, and played games. You really don't need to bring anything extra because the place had everything you'd need for a week stay. It was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely go back.

Terry in the office was wonderful and helpful. The unit was on the lower floor, a walk-out basement unit. Nice sized with comfortable sofa, chairs, beds. Nice view from the large outdoor patio. Spotless. Downsides: Everything was VERY DATED--furnishings, all appliances, kitchenware, decoration, carpeting. You name it, it was old. Plus, the formica countertop near the stove had burns on it, and the refrigerator had a lot of rust on one side. Not aesthetically pleasing, but it all worked. The unit stank of mildew. All our clothes ended up smelling of mildew. The water was horribly RUSTY. We had to buy bottled water for drinking and cooking. When we arrived, the toilet water was bright blue from some product. Once that blue was flushed away, the brown rusty water was very evident. Pets are allowed in the units, so the unit next to us had 3 large dogs. Not sure if it was those dogs who carried the fleas or other pets who stayed in the unit before us, but we ended up getting over 20 flea bites along with the few mosquitoes. The resort can't control the mosquito bites and those itched for only a brief time, but the flea bites are a different story. It's been a week and my strong reaction to the flea bites is still continuing in spite of medication. We loved the area, Lake Laura, and the view from the unit, but it fell far short of the standard of all the many other RCI units we've stayed in.

This resort is conveniently locate near attractions and scenic drives. Multiple national forests are nearby for hiking and picnics. The duplex unit was nice and grounds beautiful. The place is quiet and serene, a nice relaxing get away.

Pros- close to hiking, golf, lake with water sports, private, friendly and helpful staff. Cons- poor water, mattresses, road access, not much to do for a week stay but a long weekend was ok, had to buy basics like TP
