We have had a very great experience by staying at HouHaiYuan Hotel with the following reasons: 1. Great location - this hotel is located at 前井胡同，which is a very quiet and serene location. However, it is just a 5 minute walking distance to one of the moat popular tourist attractions - 烟袋斜街，and it is also walking distance to 南锣鼓巷 (about 15 min) and to 恭王府（about 10 min). It is a walking distance to train station 2. Cleanliness & housekeepong - the room is very clean and every items in the room are free for use, including the beer and drinks in the mini bar 3. Service - the service of the hoteliers are superb! They are very helpful and they were trying their best to assist us in many areas, including helping us in arranging transportation and also our food order as we were unable to do it ourselves due to we are not having a phone line in china.

I absolutely loved the Shadow Puppetry aspect of this hotel. They do performances every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 8pm. Even though I don't speak Chinese, I really enjoyed the performances and the demonstrations of the history and logistics of the puppets. I also got to paint my own puppets after the show (for an extra fee), which I loved. Really friendly staff and beautiful décor. It would have been nice to have some more natural light in my room and the walk back to the hotel was pretty dark at night and away from the main street, which I would have preferred to avoid as a solo female traveller. However, all of this was made clear when booking the hotel, so they set clear expectations and made it a memorable and comfortable stay. Would recommend!

Location: The hotel is in the middle of Hutong community, it is great for getting a glimpse of life in Hutong. Once you make your way out of the Hutong, it is close to a variety of restaurants. It is close to Yaoji Gulou store, which you can have a taste of traditional Beijing breakfast. The downside of being tucked in the Hutong is, it takes 10 min to walk in (ok in normal standards, but a bit hard when check-in/check-out with kids and luggage), and some Didi driver would whine a bit when they drive in. Interior: The lobby has many traditional Chinese activities for you to try for free, such as traditional clothes, go chess, chinese chess, Guzhen, tea set etc. Fun for both kids and adults. The room is nice and clean. Staff: Staff were very welcoming and responsive. You can tell they've put a lot of thoughts into their services down to the little details such as when to pack the breakfast for us.

Great services and staffs are very helpful with our need. Location of hotel is best as it located within 5min walking distance from Metro line 2 and Metro line 8 which connected to many tourist places. Hotel interior design is superb and the room is great with heated floor , smart toilet seat, etc. self service laundry is provided as well which is a plus. Again kudos to hotel staff including kitchen staff for their service and their friendliness as well.

Right out the back door is Xihai Park, which is perfect for a stroll after a meal. About 300 meters from the front door is the Jishuitan subway station, and the transportation is very convenient. Especially when going to the Great Wall, take bus 877 and walk for about 5 minutes. Some rooms have windows in the corridor, which are marked in the room description. Those who are sensitive to this can pay attention. In addition, I would like to give a small suggestion to the store owner. You can put a hotel signboard at the back door, which will not only make it easier for customers to find the store, but also provide advertising.

It's a very good hotel in the busy city. It's hygienic and clean, making you feel comfortable. The decoration style is very unique and Tibetan style. More importantly, it's very quiet. The service staff is very friendly. Although the breakfast is not very cheap, it has a wide range of varieties. The transportation is also very convenient. It's close to Shichahai and Drum Tower. The hotel is very good, hygienic and clean, and the service attitude is good. Although the bed 1.1 is a bit small and the room is small and compact, the three of us are not affected. The bedding in the room is neat and comfortable. One pillow seems to be buckwheat and the other is soft. Overall It's still possible, 2 large boxes can be opened and laid flat. Toothpaste, towels, and toiletries are all available. There are no plastic slippers in the bathroom, so you can bring your own, but there are anti-slip mats for use. One bottle of water per person per day. The bed was made and the room was tidied every day. Thank you to the hotel staff. The transportation is convenient. It takes about 4 minutes to get out of Xinjiekou Station on Metro Line 4. The train is 8 stops and 30 minutes away from Beijing South Station to Xinjiekou Station. The Beijing Zoo subway is only 2 stops away. It takes 1.5h to transfer to Beijing Universal Studios on Line 4. Line 1 or 7 is the subway to other places, and Didi Road is also the main road, which is wide and smooth. There is a century-old halal roast duck restaurant ”Ziguangyuan” near the hotel, which is much more delicious than those Internet celebrity roast duck Beijing dishes. If you have time, you can also go to the church near the hotel, which can be passed by on the way to the hotel from the subway. In short, I am very satisfied with my stay at Huali Jiahe Hotel. I have recommended it to my friends and will stay there next time.

The location of the hotel is so closed to the MRT stat - 崇文门，the entrance/exit is just right in-front of the hotel! As it was off-peak season when we visited Beijing, we were upgraded to a Deluxe Suite, which mean there is a separate bedroom with a single bed, on top of a master room with a double bed. We really appreciate the kind act. While I was still at other part of China, I thought of ordering something online and use this hotel as the receiving end, I thought of just checking it out, and to my pleasant surprise, the hotel does provide such service and the staff helpfully guided me on how to do so. After I checked into the hotel and gotten the item I ordered, a few days later, but sadly the item didn't suit me, the hotel again provides the service of allowing the courier staff to go to the counter to collect back the return item. I was amazed by the extreme friendliness and helpfulness of the staff there. All in all, we really enjoyed the service extended to us! It is no doubt hotel staff in China places their guests at top priority, making them feel at home at all times.
