Excellent hotel near funicular to Cite Alta (old town) of Bergamo overlooking a park area. Had a room with a balcony (but only one seat) Friendly helpful staff in all areas. Comfortable bed and good shower ( over the bath) excellent self serve breakfast. Bus stop to /from airport across the street. Train station 20 /30 min walk away. Frequent trains to Milan and Lecco (on shore of Lake Como ) for day trips. Arrived on Bank holiday and very busy …huge queues for funicular but bus just as handy for Cite Alta ….can get a 72 hour bus ticket for €12. The hotel has a beautiful rooftop restaurant but unfortunately it is open only to diners( not for a drink) and is rather expensive ! and the hotel doesn’t offer any other dining option.

The standard room is a perfect solution and with a fair price to spend a night in Bergamo in the centre. The structure is quiet, the room is clean. The furniture is modern and sober, the bathroom is spacious. The room had the best coffee and pot machine, Illy, water and tisane. The hotel is centrally located, but not easily accessible by car without the prior knowledge to use the bus lane as parking to unload. The staff mostly was very helpful and service minded. In general the hotel is outdated and reception, hall and the one elevator are lacking the luster to be considered a 4-star hotel. Hotel bar and restaurant prompt going outdoors. Breakfast itself was good. The room was very small, far too warm and where lacking real air conditioning could not be made comfortable. The room we booked via Booking looks like being furnished in the late 60-ies and is lacking an espresso machine. The bathroom, with plastic cups to try to drink out of, was cramped and without space to place much more than a toothbrush. I hope the hotel will be reviewed by the brand soon to bring it up to the standard we experienced in e.g. the BW in Modena.

Very new property. Due to the period, my choice is oriented to accomodations which allow the self check-in, without the need to get in contact with other people. After following an easy and quick procedure to provide my details, I received the codes of the building and my room. Very recommended for the location, just out of the property you are in a pedestrian area with bars, nice restaurants and any kind of shops.

I stayed at this hostel for 1 night. The one girl at the desk was so rude and had a very unpleasant demeanor as if guests should be grateful for having their hostel whereas the hostel should be grateful they still have business. It is expensive for nothing. No breakfast and blames it on Covid, No kitchen facility to cook. The dormitory room, beds are too close to each other and all available for other guests not practicing social distancing. I have slept in hostels where every other bed is marked off as unavailable to practice COVID safety. Most hostels I sleep in, they aim to please and are always friendly or at minimum, pleasant in welcoming a guest but not here. The main advantage of this hostel is it is close to the cafes and restaurants, shops. However, the fact that it is very close to the train station, it also attracts some strange people, like the one in my room who screamed off and on during the night. I thought he was dreaming but when he woke up in the morning, he started to talk and point at me. It was very frigthening actually. Except for one African young man who seemed normal, it was only because of him, I felt a bit more calm. The hostel has only one dormitory room and the rest are private rooms. I would not stay here again. I also woke up with 2 bites on my face. I dont think they are from mosquitoes because usually I hear them at night and cover myself. Possibly bed bugs...

Se l'avessimo fatto, avrebbero intascato il pagamento; fortunatamente Expedia ha trovato altra sistemazione. Abbiamo poi controllato, a quell'indirizzo c'è un portone non senza targa o citofono che faccia pensare che la struttura esista davvero. Il sito è in costruzione. Esistono altri Bergamo inn con ottime recensioni (e sito funzionante), probabilmente usano un nome simile per trarre in inganno. Booking was canceled 48h before arrival, without explanation. We were offered an unsuitable room elsewhere (2 beds instead of 3). We turned it down, and they instructed us to cancel the booking via Expedia. If we had done that, they would have kept the payment! Thankfully Expedia found us another accommodation. We then passed by the stated address, and there's nothing to indicate that there actually is a hotel/B&B. The website is under construction. Most likely they use the name ”Bergamo inn” to trick people into believing they are linked to other successful hotels by that name.

It is worth visiting a small town for a day. The upper part of the city is part of the Venice City Defense Cultural Heritage. The hotel is in the city center, a very beautiful courtyard. The front desk English is very good and very nice. Breakfast is great too. The hotel also has a SPA that can experience 20 euros a person, but I didn't have enough time to go. 40 minutes to the north is the origin of bubble water San Pedro, where there are also hot springs. I'll give you five.
