We love the Brookdale Lodge. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and peaceful. We can't wait for you to reopen the Brookdale restaurant for fine dining.

The rooms are nice, but they can definitely use more hooks in the bathroom. There was only one hook by the shower for one towel. A suggestion to the management, please put more hooks, maybe one on the door and a couple on the wall and one for a hand towel. The staff was very accommodating, when you can get a hold of them. They are wearing many hats, so please be patient, but they are very kind! Chris and Steve were helpful!

We really enjoyed this hotel. The only disappointment was that the café and bar was not open on Monday or Tuesday so we didn’t get to enjoy it we arrived late on Sunday and it closes at 2 PM for the café, but there was a convenience store also located on the property which was really nice to be able to have some thing to grab drinks and small snacks from.

The area was beautiful and there was live music playing when I arrived and it was a perfect view from our balcony. The only complaint was the cleanliness, there was an old coffee in the microwave from past guests. Also, the conditioner in the shower was out, and when I looked, I saw hair inside the container. If that did not occur I would have given this place an excellent review. Overall it was a nice stay minus those two complaints.

Wonderful 2 day stay, we have been stayinh here since 1980s. We hope owners bring it back to its former glory.
We spent many delicous dinners and service was impeccable. food was great. Cant wait till they open the dining by the river. The rooms were clean and spacous and comfortable. We are from Santa Cruz and love to go back to where we fell in love. We were recently married and spent part of our honeymoon there. Thank you for your hospitality Robert and Mary Culligan Couch

Short stay just to get away & enjoy the forest. Tim, Meghan & Wyatt working the bar were great! They were very welcoming! We were hoping to dance -but the band was not our taste although they were very talented. We Love rock, funk, R&B danceable covers! Room was huge & well appointed! Enjoyed our balcony facing the courtyard! Plenty of parking! Ordered hot wings & they delivered them to us in the bar area! Will return!

There wasn't much unique about this lodge, we were expecting more history. The place was clean though there was a fall hazard between carpeting and floor. We were placed in a room two doors from the highway which was nerve wracking. Staff was lovely though.

I liked that the front desk staff was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly.
I liked that the rooms were very clean and had a fairly new microwave and refrigerator. Also, I enjoyed eating at the small table outside on the balcony. I also liked eating a delicious lunch and dinner at this hotel restaurant. Although the Marilyn Monroe Building my husband and I stayed at consist of two floors I desired an elevator to carry up my heavy luggage and our other smaller totes.
