Coombe House

As this was our first time in the beautiful Cotswolds, we cannot praise this lovely guest house enough. As soon as we pulled up in the car parking area we were greeted by David our host who was so welcoming by offering to help carry our luggage and settling us in. The breakfast was wonderful and the view of the gardens made it extra special. Our room was perfect, so cosy and very peaceful. Only a very short walk into the local village. We highly recommend this gorgeous accommodation and a huge thankyou to the wonderful host David. A real tribute to you David. You have given us some very special memories to take home to Australia. Coombe House is in a great location just a short flat walk from all the attractions and the village itself. The property and grounds are immaculate with great facilities. David the Host is excellent and really takes pride in Coombe House and the service he provides. He is very welcoming, a great conversationalist and personality which really makes your break special. The extra little finishing touches such as fresh milk, bottled water, biscuits and bathroom products in your room really make a refreshing change and a difference. Breakfast was excellent, plentiful with a good variety to select from and the quality was 1st class. The stay is also great value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending David and Coombe House to anyone.

Had the best stay ever in this delightful b&b. Our room was lovely and cosy and the choice of breakfast was amazing. Situated just on the edge of the village, it's an easy stroll into the center. Our host David, was just brilliant which made our stay even better (thankyou David).

Our two night stay at Coombe House was a lovely way to celebrate my birthday. We had been to Bourton before many years ago and believe Coomwe made an excellent choice in staying here .The house is delightful and only a short scenic walk into Bourton on the water village . David was a wonderful host catering to our every need . He was very knowledgeable of the local area and made useful recommendations for dining and places to visit. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a lovely view of the garden . What better way to start the day than with a lovely tasty breakfast with plenty of choice . We will be recommending Combe House to our family and friends and will definitely be returning ourselves. Thank you David for being the perfect host and welcoming us into your lovely home .

Our 2 night stay at Coombe House was perfect.The house is walkable from the village, just along the road from attractions and from the lovely riverside walk. There is ample parking at the rear of the property. The owner made me and my daughter very welcome and he had a lovely friendly manner that made us feel at home. He gave us ideas for places to visit and where to eat and was extremely helpful. Our twin room on the first floor was a good size with ensuite bathroom and everything was spotlessly clean. The beds and pillows were excellent and at night there was no traffic noise. There was a comfortable guest lounge with TV. Breakfast was first class, fresh fruit salad and Danish pastries a nice addition to usual cereals. Full English with vegetarian option or smoked salmon and scrambled egg were freshly cooked with mainly local ingredients and were served with a smile. Remembering our first names was a nice personal touch. There is nothing that we could suggest as an improvement, it was first class.

Our first visit to Bourton-on-the-Water stayed at Coombe house we received a very warm welcome from David the host, with a lovely cup of tea and slice of cake. Bedroom beautiful and well equipped with everything you would need. Breakfasts were excellent plenty of choice and very tasty. Would highly recommend do not miss !! Thank you David for looking after us we will be back.

This was a great place to base our Cotswold trip from. The BnB owner was wonderful and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfasts were amazing and very satisfying. Bourton on the water is a lovely village! Can’t wait to return to the Coombe House and Bourton on the Water!

The Coombe House was the absolutely perfect place to stay in Bourton-on-the-Water. David's hospitality was top notch and the house is just so comfortable and inviting. Location is superb as well. You cannot go wrong staying here if you visit the Cotswolds. There are also wonderful walking paths between Bourton and other nearby villages. We walked to Lower Slaughter and had a delightful lunch and walk around the small village. Thank you David for a memorable and lovely stay. We will be back!

I've just returned from my trip to England, and I already want to go back, specifically to Coombe House! Coombe House is an absolutely lovely bed and breakfast run by David, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to rebook! My sister and I stayed in a twin room with a wonderful view of the front garden. The room was very clean and a good size with comfortable beds and pillows. We both slept exceptionally well! The room was also very well equipped with a mini fridge, a kettle with tea and coffee, and all the bathroom essentials. I can also vouch for the breakfast! David does an amazing job preparing breakfast based on the form you fill out the night before. The form includes everything from cereal and yogurt to a full English breakfast! All you need to do is come down to the breakfast room between 8:30 and 9 am. Overall, David was the perfect host! He recommended a lovely walk through the countryside to Upper and Lower Slaughter (neighbouring villages) and a number of good restaurants in Bourton on the Water (Smiths, The Rose Tree, etc.). Next time I'm in the Cotswolds, this is where I'll be staying!
