We had a great stay at this hotel! We came here for two nights because we went to USJ and it was only a five minute walk to the entrance. The hotel is minion themed (not out room, but they do have some minion themed rooms as well). But the lobby is filled with minion themed decorations. They have a smokers lounge near vending machines at the first floor. The room was spacious, very clean (daily cleaning) and they have slippers and pyjamas for in the room. They have two cafes at the first floor (we only got coffee to go, very good prices) and they offer breakfast and dinner buffets (which we did not try). The hotel really made our experience at USJ even better! I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody that is going to USJ!

Location is perfect. Breakfast was perfect. Lounge would be better with more food varieties but they had a lot of drinks options including sake, champagne, wine and beer on top of the usuals which was great. 

One thing i didnt like is that their rooms are super tiny. We got a triple room and it was so tight. Next maybe two doubles is required for more space. Another disappointment is that they don't provide lotion which i think is a basic amenity. And that every certain hours of the night  10-ish -2am (everyday) you can hear super noisy motorcycles revving in the main street randomly. (I guess that's not directly their fault buy maybe they could opt for a more soundproof window or something.)

This hotel is super convenient for visiting both Universal Studios Japan (USJ) and the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan! There's a supermarket downstairs and plenty of dining options nearby. The breakfast was delicious, especially the udon noodles and ice cream. The night before heading to USJ, you can walk just a couple of minutes to the street in front of the entrance to buy merchandise, so you can dress up nicely and get into the full USJ spirit on the day of your visit!

Hotel is located on streets with many famous eateries and shops amongst local and foreign tourists. Tenjin Minami station on Nanakuma Line is 5-6 mins away on foot. Travelled in 3 pax and coincidentally on the weekend where there was a bunch concert and live shows happening in the city so hotel rate was extra expensive (normal weekend is alr very expensive).. Found this hotel within our budget and can fit 3 pax. Sofa bed was kinda comfortable but not the pillow. More used to firmer latex ones while the one they provided is either polyester or microfiber filled so it was very very very soft! Room was tight when the 3 of us opened our luggage. Shower has good water pressure. There’s also public bath on site. They provide in room water purifier machine too.

The location is good, not too far from Tenjin or Hakata, can easily take taxi around cheaply unlike other cities in Japan. Room size is decent for a Japanese hotel. The only downside is lack of hook for towel in the bathroom when you have two person in a room. Could’ve utilize the empty wall in the room more smartly to make it more travelers friendly. 

PS: hotel is located right next to the Yanagibashi market where the famous Kaisen Don restaurant located in. Good lunch deal.

I absolutely loved this hotel! Everything from booking, arranging the shuttle via email, to check-in and check-out, was incredibly smooth. The private onsen, which I reserved in advance via email, was also a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic, right next to Togendai – just a 5-minute walk away. It's super convenient for visiting Owakudani and taking the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise. If the hotel shuttle schedule doesn't work for you, you can easily catch a bus from Togendai to Odawara hub. What's more, the Togendai bus runs every 15 minutes, and it's the starting point, so you'll never have to worry about not getting a seat or a place for your luggage. The hotel's buffet breakfast and dinner, with free-flowing drinks, were also a highlight. Most importantly, my husband left his headphones at the hotel. When we realized, we were already in Kamakura, preparing to head to Yokohama. We immediately called the hotel, and their response was incredibly fast. They quickly located the headphones and sent them via courier to the nearest express pickup point at our Yokohama hotel. We received them successfully before returning home. A huge thank you! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. There was not a single thing to complain about throughout our stay.

We were looking for onsen with private bath on the balcony and probably hit the sweet spot.

Unfortunately we had only 1 night stay, but it was fantastic.

Onsen is located at the top station Gora, where you can get from Odawara. That’s around 2 hours from Tokyo all together, around 3 hours from Kyoto. Last 2 sections of the way are going through a picturesque steep railway. Views are great! Be sure to rush to the front or back seats (doesn’t matter which) to secure a spot for nice photographs.

Private bath is fantastic, rooms are clean and spacious with a touch of ryokan style (tatami etc). That’s a perfect place to sit and relax doesn’t matter it’s sunshine or pooring rain outside.

The food was fantastic (according to my wife), however the options are limited if you’re not eating fish or sea products due to allergy or other reasons. 
For Karaku team - I would suggest adding a signature wagyu set for those who would like something else. Selection of wine and alcohol drinks is superb. Free snacks and coffee are available till 8 p.m. as well with a view terrace. For those who like some regular conbini stuff - Lawson is around 10 mins walk with Miyazaki style trains passing by👌🏻

All in all, we wish we had stayed at least 2 nights as there are lots of activities around.
