Comfortable one-night stay at Shinjuku Granbell Hotel — great location and clean, modern rooms. One useful tip for anyone driving: there’s parking available nearby that you can either reserve in advance for around ¥2,000 per night, or just drive in without a reservation and pay by the hour (rates around ¥1,700 for 8 hours at the lot near the hotel). Made it really convenient for our road trip stop before heading north. Would recommend for travelers exploring Shinjuku by car.

Hotel location is quite near JR Akabane, but if you (especially solo) stay out come back late, they are many guys standing nearby asking you for visiting restaurants etc. Just ignore it will do. The hotel breakfast is nice and also provide you a onsen at the basement. Only the room light a bit dim and I wish it can be more lighter. Overall the stay is good and I will comeback again in future.

I recently stayed at Granbell Hotel Shibuya. One of the biggest positives of this hotel is the room size. The room was surprisingly spacious, especially considering the location in Shibuya. The location itself is also very convenient and makes it easy to explore the area.

The staff were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. When I raised an issue about the hair dryer in my room, they responded quickly and provided a clean replacement.

However, there were some cleanliness concerns. The carpet in the room appeared to have visible stains and dirt, and the hair dryer provided in my room was extremely dusty to the point that it was uncomfortable to use. This was disappointing, as cleanliness is an important factor for many guests.

The hotel provides small bottles of body soap, shampoo, and conditioner, which was a nice touch.

Overall, if you prioritize a great location and a spacious room, Granbell Hotel Shibuya may be a good choice. However, if you are particularly sensitive to dust, dirt, and cleanliness issues, you may find the condition of the room disappointing.

I was a bit nervous when I booked, but it totally exceeded my expectations once I arrived! The staff at the front desk, both the gentlemen and ladies, were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and enthusiastic! The room was spacious, the bed was huge, and the bathroom was also large. Housekeeping kept everything spotless every day! I especially have to praise the foot massage chair – after walking all day, a 10-15 minute massage was so incredibly therapeutic! For less than 800 yen in Tokyo, this place is an absolute steal and top-notch! Unbeatable! I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I come back to Tokyo! This was the best decision I made for my Tokyo trip! First off, the location is super convenient. I specifically chose a spot between Akasaka-mitsuke and Akasaka, where many subway lines converge, and the hotel is just a short walk in either direction, within 5 minutes. We could even go out in the morning and come back for a bit around noon. Plus, there are so many great restaurants in this area! There's the popular Toufu coffee shop that roasts its own beans – every morning I'd buy a bag of beans and get a free cup of coffee with it.

The hotel's location is excellent, just around the corner from Ginza's brand-name shopping streets, making it super convenient for shopping. The room itself was just okay; at 28㎡, the space wasn't utilized well, making it feel a bit cramped. Right across the street there's a sushi restaurant where I ate lunch all three days. Be warned though, there's always a long line, so I recommend getting a number or making a reservation 30 minutes in advance. There are also many other well-known restaurants nearby, offering plenty of dining options. The hotel has a bar on the first basement level. Ladies get free entry from Monday to Thursday, but it gets very crowded on weekends with queues and limited entry.

This is a brand new hotel. It still has that new hotel smell. The location is great because it is very quiet and calm. There are a lot of restaurants nearby in walking distance. There are also convenience stores nearby in walking distance. The train stations are also close by and depending on the line it may take 5-10 minutes walking. 

The rooms are a bit on the small size so there isn’t a lot of room to have all your bags open and spread out. The bed is tall enough so that you can fit large size luggage underneath for stowage. Since there isn’t much space you have to be strategic with the items you will have out and that you will use. 

There are different types of rooms, the room with the tub has an amazing bathroom. In this room the bathroom is spacious. The bidet is perfect with the heated seat. The bath is spacious enough to fit 2 people at once. 

The air conditioner works perfect and it kept me cool. There is also a coffee maker in room. There is a mini fridge in room. There is a safe in room. There is a good quality hair dryer in room. There is a big flat screen TV that you can connect your Bluetooth to play music. There are a few hangers but there isn’t much space for hanging clothes. There is a mini display that is AI powered that can make calls to the front desk and other things. There is a glass bottle that is filled with water and if you need to refill it you do it downstairs next to the front desk. There is a microwave in the lobby next to the front desk that you can use to warm up food. There are about 5 outlets in the entire room and also a USB C plug. 

Room service is done every other day. On those days they make your bed, clean your entire room, provide fresh towels, provide fresh sleeping gowns, and take out the trash. On the days that they do not provide room service they will leave a fresh set of towels next to your door. 

The bed is extremely comfortable, the blanket is cozy and will keep you warm, and for the pillows there are both soft and firm. In this room one person with 3 pieces of luggage will fit comfortably or two people with 3 pieces of luggage total. 

Overall I had a great experience, I had a great stay, the staff they are all really nice and helpful, and I would absolutely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel.

We visited as a family of four (two adults and two children) for two nights and truly appreciated several aspects of our time here:
Spacious & Spotless Room: 
The accommodations were exceptionally clean and spacious, offering lovely surrounding views.
Comfortable Bedding: 
Both the bed and pillows were remarkably comfortable, making for a restful sleep.
Thoughtful Amenities: 
Having all necessary toiletries fully prepared and ready upon arrival was greatly appreciated.

Few areas of concern to your attention so they may be addressed for future guests:
Breakfast Queue: 
The waiting times and long queues for the morning breakfast buffet were quite significant.
Onsen Water Supply Interruption: 
On our second night, the water supply in the onsen area was suddenly suspended while guests were actively showering. This was particularly inconvenient for those left with shampoo and soap to rinse, and unfortunately, it prevented us from enjoying the onsen on our final morning.
 Ice Cream Machine Malfunction: 
The ice cream machine served liquid instead of proper soft-serve during our visit. We do, however, appreciate how promptly the team responded and fixed the issue once informed.

the twin room is a bit cramped for 2 big luggages. It will be good if the hotel changes the (spa) room wear into new design but the open-air bath on the 13th-floor rooftop and lady’s access card impressed me! It takes 8-10 minutes from Sapporo JR Station by walking.

This is a historic Japanese onsen hotel. The hot spring water quality is genuinely good, attracting many Japanese families and couples. There are also quite a few Korean families and Western tourists. However, the overall facilities are a bit old, and the flow within the onsen area is quite complex. There aren't many pools, but they are spread across multiple floors with lots of stairs. Walking around like that **in that condition** felt a bit awkward and cold. The open-air onsen on the 16th floor is shared by men and women at different times, so if all family members want to enjoy it, one day definitely isn't enough (see the last picture for the onsen schedule). The 'water world' is fun and great for kids, and soaking in the hot spring after playing there is very relaxing. The dining is just okay, nothing special, as they mainly cater to group tours.

P.S. The scenery in Jozankei is worth exploring, and the nearby ski resort is worth a visit (the kind for playing in the snow). The kids had a blast.

I stayed here for four nights during the Snow Festival. 
The location is near the main street of Susukino and very convenient. 
However, I found the hotel's operations lacking, as the reception was often unattended in the mornings. 
The twin room was quite cramped for two people, making it difficult to pack and unpack. 
With only three laundry machines (one of which was broken), the facilities felt insufficient for the size of the hotel. 
While the breakfast had a good variety and didn't get boring, don't set your expectations too high for the 'signature' seafood bowls

房間超大，有室內浸浴，景觀一流，設施齊備，若住Executive Suit,可以免費享用lounge 內小食和飲品，酒也是無限飲用。自助餐食物美味，款式多。娛樂設施有驚喜，有乒乓球打，有夾公仔機，可以打機，是迷利版的Gigo。商店購物種類多，有好小朋友玩具賣。露天風呂看到雪山景，體驗到一邊浸温泉，一邊大風雪吹在面上。就算不是露天，室內的風呂也有好美的雪山景觀看。有穿梭巴士送到札幌，非常好。雖然房價不便宜，但物有所值。

Disappointing hospitality and poor organization, despite decent facilities

There are three major downsides to my stay at this hotel.
First and foremost, the check-in process was poorly managed. While having guests wait until 3:00 PM to check in is highly understandable, the complete lack of queue management is unacceptable. I went to the counter at around 2:55 PM to get myself ready for the check in, but the staff instructed me to go back to the waiting area and wait. However, right at 3:00 PM, newly arrived guests immediately formed a line at the counter. Those of us who had been waiting patiently in the seating area had to rush over to secure a spot. Everyone was scrambling to get into line as if we were asking for a free stay(Pic.1). The hotel showed a blatant lack of care for its guests. To make matters worse, guests are required to use a self-check-in system, which feels like shifting the operational burden from the staff onto the guests. This experience clearly reflects that the hotel prioritizes its own convenience over the comfort of its guests—a concerning approach for any hospitality business.
The second major issue is the Wi-Fi. The internet speed was incredibly low to the point of being completely unusable(Pic.). If you rely heavily on hotel Wi-Fi for work or travel planning, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.
The third point, though less severe, is the location. The hotel is situated a bit far from the subway, sitting almost exactly halfway between two stations. Regardless of which station you use, you will have to walk an equal distance of about 500 meters from either Hommachi Station (Red Line) or Sakaisuji-Hommachi Station (Green Line). While this is not entirely the hotel's fault, it is worth noting for future guests.
To be fair, I would like to highlight some positive aspects. The hotel facilities are decent. They provide complimentary coffee and thoughtful amenities such as utensils and chopsticks for guests to use.
Ultimately, I believe a hospitality business should always prioritize customer service and guest satisfaction over its own convenience, even if turning a profit is the ultimate goal. Unfortunately, my experience here made me feel like the guests are not a priority. Perhaps I was just unlucky, as I had read the reviews thoroughly before booking and saw no mention of these issues. I am sharing this experience simply to help others make an informed decision.

Our 4-night stay at this hotel was excellent. The location is fantastic, situated near the Umeda Station area and well connected to major transportation hubs. Everything you need is within easy reach, including shopping, restaurants, convenience stores, and various attractions.

During our visit, there were a few rainy days, but it did not affect our experience at all. The extensive underground shopping and pedestrian network connected to the major shopping malls allowed us to move around comfortably without getting wet.

I would also like to give special recognition to a staff member, Saki Oto, and her female colleague. They went above and beyond to help me retrieve a tiny screw from my watch that had accidentally fallen into the basin bottle trap. Their quick response and willingness to assist resolved the issue in a very short time, and I truly appreciated their exceptional service.

This level of professionalism and customer care made our stay even more memorable. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Osaka.
