The service doesn't live up to 4-star standards, mainly for two reasons.

First, upon check-in, the front desk informed me that a 200 RMB deposit was required, payable only by credit card. They said it would be refunded after checkout once the room was inspected for damage, but they couldn't tell me when the refund would actually clear, advising me to contact my bank directly. It felt like they didn't care about the inconvenience caused to guests, only about mitigating their own risks. The front desk staff just rattled off the information as a matter of routine.

Second, at 1 AM, the fire alarm blared, and the broadcast system announced an evacuation. The elevators were also shut down. After taking the emergency stairs down to the street, we were then informed the fire alarm was a false alarm and we could return to our rooms. I understand this is the standard procedure for hotels in an emergency. However, being put through such a commotion in the middle of the night severely disrupted guests' rest. The front desk simply stated that everything followed normal procedures and offered no compensation.

So, from the hotel's perspective, it was just another day of providing 'normal service.' For me, however, it was a night of utter disruption. But the hotel didn't seem to care.

Loved the lobby and had breakfast that was nice. Unfortunately in Surfers Paradise we thought that the hotel had a pool. Having children and my poor research they were disappointed to have no pool as I thought I had booked a different hotel. After the lovely staff checked us in and we arrived to our rooms. They were very motel like. Just not what we expected. Again my rushed booking

The apartment is spacious and includes a kitchen, washing machine, and dryer. I had to visit the reception daily to collect amenities, but the staff were friendly. A light rail station is conveniently located just outside the back door. Overall, the hotel met my expectations.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Gold Coast and had a mostly positive experience. The staff were incredibly nice and super friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. The room facilities were great, and the large room provided a comfy atmosphere that made it easy to relax. Plus, the location was ideal—just a short walk to the beach and the tram station, with a supermarket nearby for convenience. 

However, I did encounter a disappointing issue: we saw a cockroach in our room. While this was unfortunate, it didn't overshadow the overall comfort and amenities of our stay. With a little more attention to cleanliness, this hotel could be an excellent choice for future visitors.

Had a mini break for the weekend on surfers and absolutely cannot fault the location of this hotel!! Free parking too made it easy to park and forget about the car got the weekend!! Staff were friendly and although the room was a bit outdated, it did the job for family of 4 (2bed) Room needed a clean as there were still crumbs in the couch cracks and bathroom had a few hairs left. But I’d definitely return. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow for use of the pool and facilities, but there were lots of people in the indoor pool and gym!! Loved this place!!!

The hotel is within 10 minutes walk from the coastal beach. We booked the two-bedroom and one-washroom and gave the 27th floor of the tower3. Every room and living room can see the sea view, which is very good. Downstairs is the supermarket, there are many restaurants nearby, and the bus stop is just across the road from the hotel. It is very convenient. Kitchen utensils are readily available and it is convenient to cook for yourself. The only downside is that the toilet is not well ventilated.

Room was ok, on the smaller side, basic.
Could do with a freshen up, I.e. rubbish bin in bathroom with rusting lid.
TV ok, had foxtel, no streaming services.

Quiet enough at night to sleep, but noisy otherwise, pool means kids up early playing and could hear people in halls/above.
Not ideal if you want a holiday sleep in.

Pool was nice, quite cool in temperature. Music definitely too loud, hard to relax with it cranking all day. 

Given the reviews was better than I expected, but wouldn’t want to stay for a long trip here. More a motel than a hotel/resort.

The reception is almost always closed even during working hours but they answer the phone quickly. The location is good, the room is good, but the soundproofing is very bad

We stayed as a couple in late December, just after Christmas. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the shared swimming pool area on the ground floor. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the lovely reception staff, who showed us the room details. The room featured a spa tub on the balcony, which we enjoyed. However, the hotel itself felt a bit outdated and old-fashioned. While the room was reasonably comfortable, we noticed some wear and tear, like chipped and scratched surfaces in the bathroom amenities and signs of overall poor maintenance. Also, the spa tub was not well-cleaned, with visible dirt and mould in the crevices, which was disappointing. Overall, while the staff were welcoming and the room had its enjoyable aspects, the lack of upkeep in the facilities detracted from our experience.

A hotel searched on the Internet, the facilities are complete, the rooms are spacious, the price is good, the quality is good, the port is very close to the port of Douglas, the surrounding food and beverage supermarkets are all available, the whole is value-for-money, satisfactory. However, as a high-scoring hotel, there is still a gap in service. I haven't cleaned the room for two nights. Indeed, I have come back for a day, and I haven't moved in the room. I wonder if there is a rule to live without having to clean it? It doesn't matter, it's okay to clean up. I just told the front desk in advance that I had to leave the store at 7.30 in the morning of the second day, but the next morning at 7.30, the front door and window of the reception hall were closed, no staff on duty could be found, no one answered the phone... The luggage was taken down, and It is inconvenient to throw it and then send the room card to the room. In desperation, the room card is stuffed from the door seam, and the reservation customer service is sent to inform the check-out email...  The result is unknown. Fortunately, I only brushed a 10-knife credit guarantee when I checked in. It doesn't matter if I can't retreat...

Exceeded my expectations! The service attitude, room facilities, and even the free shuttle bus to the airport were all fantastic! If you're looking for a hotel near Melbourne Airport, I highly recommend staying at Mantra. (The rooms were also newer and bigger than I imagined, which was a pleasant surprise! The front desk staff were super friendly too – so much better than the Mantra at Sydney Airport 🙇)

Clean and quiet, a really great stay. The hotel was recently renovated, so the facilities are all quite new. Plus, there's a bar downstairs that serves breakfast and dinner, which solves the problem of finding food nearby. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I can confidently say it is excellent. The room was very clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. I also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and high level of cleanliness throughout the property. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

I stayed for just one day and it was ok.
I booked a hotel for a concert, but there were no rooms available because I had an early flight. After checking in and putting down my luggage, I started my journey. When I came back to pick up my luggage after 2 o'clock, I got the key directly.
It’s about a ten-minute walk from the concert venue. The weather is nice and cool, so it’s quite comfortable to walk there.
The room was fairly clean, except that the bedsheets had some old marks. They were not dirty, but the white color looked a little dirty at first glance.

I lived in the executive single room suite with my friends during this holiday and I was very satisfied overall. Although the plan is not accompanied by daily cleaning, you can still inform the counter to send someone to collect garbage and change towels when needed. There is free Internet in the room. Spacious, kitchen equipment unexpectedly complete (tableware, cups, pots, microwave ovens, toaster, dishwasher, can opener, peeling knife), washing machine in the toilet. Good location, 10 minutes walk from the shopping district, close to buses and convenience stores. Because I lived on the second floor this time, I occasionally heard the sound of the alley outside the window, but it was not very troublesome. Note that 100 yuan will be deducted at check-in, and no additional purchase items or room damage will be refunded after check-out. It is recommended to skip the hotel breakfast, there are not many types, the price is not cost-effective, or take the same money to eat brunch nearby is better ～ ^_^

Location: Very good, right next to Chinatown, within walking distance to all downtown locations. Restaurants across the street open until 2am .

Staff：It was full when I checked in.There is a small problem (personal reason)BuBut the staff at the front desk (all of whom are super awesome) have been helping and working hard to solve the problem, and in the end, I stayed very comfortably.

Facilities: There is a gym and an indoor swimming pool, but I haven't tried them.

Food: The snail noodles （螺狮粉） across the street are really delicious, and the grilled skewers are also good. I feel really happy. The quantity is huge.

The Mantra Southbank was in a great location, especially for Arts lovers. Room was clean and spacious. Front of house staff, polite and friendly. Pool is great!

Nice hotel, behind is a racetrack, the seafood package in the hotel restaurant is good
