TravelshortsI stayed at Hotel Suisse Geneva during my time in Geneva, and the standout feature of this hotel is its location. It is literally right across the road from the main train station, which makes it incredibly convenient whether you’re arriving by rail, heading to the airport, or planning day trips.
Being so close to the station also means excellent public transport connections, but what I found even more useful is that most of Geneva’s main sights are within easy walking distance. You can comfortably reach the lake, the Old Town, shops, and restaurants without needing to rely on transport, which makes exploring the city simple and efficient.
The hotel itself is comfortable and practical, with clean rooms and everything you need for a short city stay. It’s not overly luxurious, but it’s well maintained and does the job perfectly if you’re planning to spend most of your time out exploring Geneva.
Because of its central location, it’s a great choice for both short stays and stopovers. It also works particularly well if you have an early train or a tight schedule, as you don’t need to factor in extra travel time to get to the station.
I would highly recommend Hotel Suisse Geneva for anyone prioritising convenience and location. If you want to be right in the centre of everything with excellent transport links, it’s a very practical and reliable choice.

Guest UserThe room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff, especially the guy, provided excellent service and had a great attitude. The only minor issue was that the luggage handler's attitude was a bit subpar.

Voyageur en baladeIt is an ideal place if you want to stay close to the airport for your flight, but you want to visit the city. It must be one of the closest hotels to the airport and it has a very convenient free shuttle bus with very frequent schedules.

This is my third stay at this hotel. Its location is fantastic, being just a 1-2 minute walk from the lake. The No. 15 bus stop is also a short stroll away. It's only two stops from the train station, or a pleasant 10-15 minute walk, which is convenient even with luggage. The UN headquarters are also just two stops away. The hotel provides free public transport passes, making getting around exceptionally easy. You'll find Lidl and Coop supermarkets just one stop away.
The hotel breakfast features delicious homemade bread and croissants. While the selection isn't vast, everything is truly delicious, and you can smell the wonderfully fresh aroma starting as early as 5 AM each morning.
The price was very reasonable for Geneva, and the room also comes with a kitchen, perfect if you prefer to cook your own meals. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied to have found such a great place in a city like Geneva!

The hotel boasts an excellent location with spacious and tidy rooms, complete facilities, comfortable bedding, and good soundproofing. The front desk staff are warm and attentive, and the breakfast offers a rich variety. It's great value for money, making it an excellent choice for both business trips and leisure travel. Definitely worth staying again.

sammi1979I've been in Europe for half a month, and this is truly the best hotel experience I've had so far. Yesterday, when I was changing hotels, I arrived a bit early, around 11 AM, and they had a room available and let me check in early. That night, I got a fever due to my personal constitution. The next day, the hotel agreed to a 2-hour late check-out. After checking out, I was resting in the lobby, and an auntie who was cleaning saw I wasn't feeling well. She pushed two sofas together so I could lie down and rest, and I slowly started to feel better. Being sick and uncomfortable abroad is truly a fear.

Guest UserThe location is pretty convenient, and it is a surprise that before checking in, a public traffic ticket will be sent via email. Btw, the self-check-in process is quick and simple. It's indeed a good experience! My friend likes the hotel's breakfast very much. Five stars!

I recently spent 8 nights at the InterContinental Genève. Overall, my stay was comfortable, and there were several aspects worth mentioning. The room was quite spacious—especially for a solo traveler like me—which made it easy to settle in and relax during a longer stay. However, the décor felt a bit outdated, and there were areas with noticeable dust, which affected the overall impression of cleanliness.
Housekeeping visited the room every day, which I appreciated, but despite the daily service, the room still wasn’t as clean as I would expect from a hotel of this standard—particularly for an 8-night stay.
Most of the front desk staff were wonderful. They were polite, attentive, and professional, and their warm service truly enhanced the experience. Unfortunately, there was one exception: a female staff member wearing thick black glasses. Her tone and attitude were not very pleasant, and her facial expressions made the interaction feel uncomfortable, which contrasted sharply with the excellent service from the rest of the team.
In summary, while the spacious room—perfect for someone staying alone—and the generally outstanding service were definite positives, the outdated décor, dust, and inconsistent staff attitude are areas that could be improved. My 8-night stay was overall decent, but there is room for improvement to meet the level of quality expected from a hotel in this category.
