There were a few problems with unexpected understaffing, but our Sunday lunch yesterday, when it came, was absolutely excellent all round. This is certainly a restaurant worth visiting, and we will be returning as soon as we can! (Christopher and Heather, from Hebden Bridge)

I came across this hotel as I needed to charge my car, I was a little panicked as the garage I had been sent to no longer had a charging station and I was running low. The Arundel has a bank of Tesla charges which I wasn’t sure how to use, I went in and asked for help and was greeted by the kindest lady at reception, she took me through the steps and was so calm and helpful. I stayed in the hotel while my car charged and what a lovely place! The food smelt great and it so beautifully decorated, I will definitely be back but this time as an overnight guest. Thank you so so much for the help and fantastic service!

Last weekend we took over the whole hotel to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday and what a weekend. Living locally but with friends coming from near and far we had dinner for 18 on Friday evening. Then buffet and party for 60 on Saturday. The Arundel did us proud, exceeded our expectations at every turn, I cannot praise Arabella and her team highly enough. Food was truly exquisite, service impeccable and the hotel its self delightful. Jackie and Luke worked their socks off catering for our every need. Thank you to every one of you for making Kathryn’s birthday weekend so so special. We will definitely be back very soon.

Stayed overnight and attended an evening function. Overall, an Excellent experience at all levels - from initial reception, through function to breakfast. Obviously high standards were being met by very competent and pleasant staff. And I enjoyed the breakfast marmalade!

Lovely little hotel. We were travelling with two dogs who were made very welcome. Dinner in the bar was superb as was breakfast the next morning. All the staff we met were charming and so helpful. I was initially shocked that there was no TV in the room but it was surprisingly restful.

Superb Restaurant. Great food. Great service. Well worth a visit. Price wise a bit on the high side but worth every penny. We went for a late Christmas party. Small group. They have a huge whisky menu that’s worth looking at as they have some top notch ones on there.

If you have not been yet you must! I work in hospitality and know what it takes to make a business work and what goes on. Simon, Arabella and the whole team just go that extra distance to make you feel so welcome. The service, rooms, food etc is just outstanding. Ash the head chef and his team do all they can to accommodate requests and Luke the young sommelier has a great passion for his job. We were a group of 8 staying there whilst participating in field sports sourced by the Hotel. They provided lunch in the field and a top days sport. We have been three times now in the last year and have already booked up repeat trips for the year ahead its that good.

Loved coming back here. Food as before was really really good, the whole place is so welcoming and the staff are lovely. The fire was going which is even more special in the winter. We will definitely come back!

This business ACTIVELY supports HUNTING of defenseless animals! Absolutely DISGUSTING!! Charging our car before heading home and witnessed men, women (more of these than anyone else -vile - and children) all geared up on horses drinking champagne with hounds and this business providing food to them to prepare them to go off and hunt such beautiful animals! VILE, VILE people and humans participating in such events and the businesses such as these who support it!
