Barceló Fuerteventura Royal Level

Beautiful bungalow-like suite with two terrace, very quiet, beautiful gardens, all very clean, nice and polite staff, enormous variety in food, all very fresh. The beach directly opposite the hotel, with enough stretchers and also very clean. And good surroundings for nice walks along the seaside.

The Barceló Royal level is a newish hotel that consists of good quality bungalow type accommodation. The pool area is lovely but is spoiled at peak times because there are not enough beds and parasols which leads to the expected conflicts between early and late risers and animosity towards those who want to spend time away from the pool during the day but want a base poolside to return to. The staff are fantastic, friendly and professional. Beware if you select the half board option, you are restricted to buffet service and this is of poor quality and much of the cooked food is prepared well in advance and is cold.

Good points . Clean rooms ,nice staff , good location . Bad points. Lukewarm food hardly any choice , small selection of desserts , sunbeds taken by 8am , no sound insulation , if you have noisy neighbours you will not sleep until.they do . Avoid .

We had booked this hotel for a week away in the tranquil adults only hotel with a heated pool. Sounds idyllic. However unless you get up at 7.30 each morning, you will not get chance to enjoy this. Each morning when we went for breakfast we found all the hotels sunbeds reserved with towels but no one sitting on them. Some just even had a hat or a magazine. I have never experienced anything like this before and it is certainly not what I want from my long awaited chilled week away. However with the hotel having 129 rooms, but barely enough sunbeds for 50 rooms, this shouldn't be a surprise to the hotel. We decided not to join the sunbed rush. Who wants to set their alarm clock on holiday? Instead of lazing around the adults only hotel pool on a comfortable sunbed sipping a cocktail and swimming lazily in the heated pool, we found ourselves instead at the beach, lying on a towel on hard sand, drinking water, surrounded by kids and swimming in the cold sea. The hotel does not provide any beds on the beach. We only managed to find a sunbed on the last day of our holiday! Do not pick room 5024. This was our room. Not only is it the furthest room away from the pool, beach and restaurant, it is also next to the road. Not only that, it seems to be one of the few that has rooms above it. There appeared to be no sound proofing between our room and the room above. We could hear every door opening and closing. The patio door was especially loud. If your neighbour wears shoes, then you will hear every footstep on the tiled floor. It is such a shame as the staff were really pleasant and we found the food plentiful and varied. The hotel needs to urgently address this problem with sunbeds. Stop guests reserving the beds, purchase extra beds or provide beds on the beach. The Barcelo website describe this hotel as a retreat within the resort. A retreat is certainly not what we experienced.

Really comfy beds. Lovely peaceful hotel. Staff fabulous and welcoming. We have been 5 times and have no complaints other than the buffet could be a little better, especially the desserts which are obviously bought in and frozen I think. Overall a lovely experience though

Immaculate rooms and quiet resort. Fabulous food and drink with a great selection of restaurants. Great location only 10 mins in a taxi. Lovely beach. Only negative was the low number of sun loungers. We were assured this is being worked on and will be better when we next visit.

Great place for adults. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms superb. An excellent place to stay if you want to chill out and relax.

The complex comprises of 4 hotels and they all can share all the pool areas . Being adults only and paying more for bungalow room. I expected a relaxing time by the heated pool. ( the only heated pool on the complex.) people were putting towels down at 07:00 in the morning Not able to get sun bed in a normal way. The buffet was not very hot and not much variety. All the staff are good / bungalow excellent. We had the buffet on 2 nights out of 11 nights very disappointing Location was excellent.
