Just returned from 4 nights at The George where we enjoyed really good accommodation and food. Room was well appointed, clean and warm, and well stocked with towels and all the stuff one might need. Meals were excellent with a very extensive breakfast menu. Staff were pleasant and obliging, and the whole atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. We'll definitely return to The George.

Our stay was quite pleasant. We enjoyed the friendly service and atmosphere from the staff. Always willing to ensure our comfort. Plenty of breakfast offered to our satisfaction. The bathroom was well stocked. Clean, big, white towels. Pretty quite after the bar closes. Able to get some wonderful sleep. In a quiet town, so close to the airport, with wonderful sites nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

The overall effect experience was underwhelming however I raised this with the manageress and I couldn’t have been happier with the resolution she provided. The staff are exceptional and I would recommend a stay here to any / all my friends

Loved our stay at The George and wish it was for longer! We thought the decor was lovely, we found the beds and rooms very comfortable, and the view of the castle was amazing. Our food at dinner and breakfast was excellent and they catered well with our allergy to treenuts. There was live music the night we stayed which could be heard in our room, but that was nice! Castletown is a great town and we enjoyed walking around the harbour and castle area. The bus service is excellent and easily travelled to Port Erin, Douglas and Laxey. We would definitely like to return to the Isle of Man and would stay again at The George. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The Food.. we had a BBQ burger and chips, a fish and chips and a lamb bap with sweet potato fries.. all of the food was super fresh, inventive, beautifully cooked, well presented and flavoursome. Best food all round ever. Really impressive and great food. Excellent value for money.

Very much enjoyed our recent stay at The George. Us three walkers were delighted with the triple room we were provided with, having a lovely bay window overlooking the castle and even a balcony ! Khushi was excellent and she looked after us really well at breakfast which was freshly cooked for us. Highly recommended.

The george is a great hotel in the centre of castletown, rooms are really nice and staff are friendly and always want to help. location is spot one with shops and restaurants surrounding it, food at the george is really nice and will stay again on future trips.

We loved our stay at The George. Great view of the Castle across the street! The food was very good in their restaurant. Bed was comfortable and LOVED the towel warmer in bathroom! Nice quiet town… enjoyed walking around taking photos of boats, harbor, shore, castle… ❤️🤩 Definitely would stay here again.

My wife made this trip, and She stayed in the Superior King: large, spacious, immaculate and wonderfully bright, with a great view of the castle. She very much appreciated the large towels... uncommon in hotels! Breakfast was included: generous with a good selection on offer. Very friendly and helpful staff in the hotel and bar. Highly recommended!
