De Chai Colonial Hotel & Spa

Night Bazaar Area
I booked this hotel through Tripmasters based on location and reviews. Close (10 minute) taxi ride from airport (250 bhat). Check in was quick with cold juice provided. There was always someone at reception early in morning and late at night. There are 2 elevators although a little small and slow but wasn’t much of an issue as hotel wasn’t full. Room was spacious with platform bed, which was on the firm side with decent pillows. Mini fridge and 2 water bottles provided per day. Not much space to put away clothes as there was no dresser or counter space. Bathroom was spacious with bathtub and shower. Shower pressure was good, although stall was a little small and opened out to toilette. Wifi was spotty but worked for the most part. AC worked well especially since 2nd key can be left in room. We didn’t eat any meals there since there were so many options near the hotel that were cheaper. Pros: location, good AC, room size Cons: spotty wifi, small shower

Just checked out from room 304 which was clean and quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed my four day stay at this hotel which is situated close to the night market. Everything in the room worked well including the air conditioning, shower and fridge and the staff were pleasant. Highly recommended.

This hotel isn't quite what it used to be, after Covid (for example there is no longer a buffet breakfast, just set menu). However, the amazing staff are still doing their very best and you can't argue with the price plus what they do serve is ample, fresh and tasty. It is still very homely, clean and comfortable with a great location. If you are vegan then there is a fantastic place five minutes' walk down the road on the left. Overall, I loved my stay and would happily stay here again. Thanks!

Nice room, we just booked a standard double, so was fairly basic but had a nice balcony area and everything was there that we needed. All staff extremely helpful! Definitely recommend! 🤩

We stayed 4 nights at On Tha Phae Chiang Mai in transit and our stay couldn't have been better. The hotel is brand new, therefore very modern and clean. The rooms are big enough and well equipped. As always, the bed is a matter of taste, we slept very well. The pool is small but perfectly adequate for cooling off. The entire staff is above average friendly and committed and very helpful. we have to mention especially Joe! his open and great nature is indescribable! he gave us so many tips and recommendations that even our short stay was a great experience. keep it up!
Kate and Hasu Boutique Chiangmai

Kate and Hasu is a clean and simple hotel with superb staff service. Because I couldn't sleep with high pillows, the staff specially helped us find the cushions and replaced them with new pillow cases. And very enthusiastic, will be delivered directly to the door whenever you need it. However, I have to say that the size of the room is really very small. Two beds and a bathroom must be placed in a 12-square-foot space. The degree of congestion can be imagined. Although the sparrow is small and has all the internal organs, if you are playing with the purpose of travelling, you can still live in a larger space. There are many beautiful and cost-effective hotels in Chiang Mai, and it is not cost-effective to live here for more than 300 yuan.
