"This is a really great hotel! The bungalows are nestled in the jungle, some with sea views and some without, due to the abundance of trees in front of them. There's a wonderful little beach right in front of the restaurant, complete with comfy beanbag loungers. Plenty of shade too. Breakfast is served with a sea view, just 10 meters from the water. The canopy bed is incredibly soft, and they provide pajamas for two guests. The shower even has air conditioning, which isn't always a given! While the bungalows aren't brand new, they are incredibly cozy. There's a hammock outside, and handmade wooden tables and chairs. Important note: the property is quite large. It took us about 7-10 minutes to walk to the beach and restaurant via steps and paths. This might not be suitable for people with small children or mobility issues. In the evenings, lizards scurry across the roof and outer walls; they can be quite loud and rustle around. Although they don't get inside, they live between the wooden boards of the house and terrace, and the sounds can be quite startling to some."

"This is a fabulous place to stay. It’s tucked away in the corner of a beautiful beach so it’s peaceful and chilled but still walking distance (5mins) to the main shops, cafes, bars and harbour of PhiPhi. The bamboo huts are very solid and appeared to be really well sealed so no bugs getting in and excellent at holding the cool air from the air conditioner inside. Very comfy bed, soft bed linen, good pillows, bathrobes, bottled water and good quality toiletries all provided. Gorgeous bathroom with great showers. Welcome drink and snacks provided in the room. The breakfast buffet was incredible- so much choice and everything was delicious. We also ate lunch here one day and dinner here one night and both were delicious, The swim up pool bar was a real treat with happy hour 2 for one cocktails from 3-5 as well as delicious smoothies ice cream and made to order sushi available. The pool is stunning of with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Pool towels supplied. Also possible to hire canoes and stand up paddle boards to take out on the bay. (1 hour included for free for all guests). The staff were lovely at all times. A delight to deal with at all times. Lastly yes you can hear the noise from the bar across the bay in the evenings from 10 to 2:30 am but the resort supplies ear plugs and we all slept perfectly fine every night. If you are sensitive to noise maybe bring some noise blocking ear plugs but don’t let that be the reason you miss out on staying in this stunning resort."

"Facilities: You can borrow a hairdryer from the front desk, but there's no kettle. Everything else is available. Ambiance: Absolutely fantastic! Super natural and refreshing. Service: Surprisingly good! The welcome ”fruit juice” upon check-in was delicious. We visited during Chinese New Year, and everyone was dressed in festive red and had their hair in cute top buns – everyone was so friendly. Cleanliness: Very clean, and the staff meticulously cleaned our room every day. You can book cars, boats, and rent motorbikes directly at the hotel. Overall, I really loved it! The rock climbing next door is also highly recommended; too bad we ran out of time. I'll definitely come back next time!"

"Location: The hotel is located on the opposite side of Tonsai Pier. A hotel representative meets you upon arrival. You can reach the town by taking a path that passes two viewpoints. The path is challenging, but the view is unforgettable. We took a boat back. Beach: During our stay, high tide peaked between 11 AM and 12 PM, so comfortable swimming was only possible until about 2 PM. We also experienced strong winds and waves, making snorkeling uncomfortable. We managed to snorkel one day but didn't see anything particularly interesting; the Red Sea is much richer. Food: There's one cafe where all services (food, massages) are recorded, and you pay upon checkout. I can't say the food was bad; it was edible, BUT my children and I got severely ill with food poisoning. This ruined the rest of our vacation as we had to focus on recovery, overshadowing all the positive aspects of the hotel."

"It takes about an hour to get to Phi Phi Island from Phuket Royal Marina by the hotel's speedboat. The hotel front desk staff doesn't speak any Chinese, so you'll need to communicate entirely in English. You can book your return transportation when you check in. The hotel environment is very nice, the staff are all very polite, and the rooms are clean. The only downside is the excessive number of mosquitoes! Be sure to bring your own mosquito repellent! Also, bring some mosquito patches, as there are many mosquitoes outdoors too! The hotel has a Western restaurant, a buffet restaurant, a Thai restaurant, etc. The food quality is generally mediocre, and the prices are not cheap. The Thai restaurant is halfway up the hill, requires reservations, and it's dark with lots of mosquitoes, so I don't recommend going there. For the return trip, I'm not sure why we shared a boat with guests from three other hotels along the way. There were a lot of people and luggage, and it was very crowded. My boyfriend and I sat together, and some white ”mean girls” commented that we were selfish and didn't understand why we didn't sit separately to maintain balance... but no other couples on the boat were sitting separately. Since we were the only two Chinese people, it's hard not to suspect discrimination."

"Be sure to check the weather before choosing Tonsai, otherwise you won't see the scenery described in xhs and the reviews! Our first day arriving was full of twists and turns. At low tide, the beach was pitch black and unsightly. But after a night there, we found a delightful little bar that made our initial gloom disappear. The hotel restaurant isn't cheap, but there's a restaurant next door whose owner speaks a little Chinese. It's both delicious and affordable. I highly recommend it! But the staff were incredibly responsive and helped us arrange taxis and boats. I understand why the online reviews are so mixed. All in all, it was a unique experience and a great time. However, those with little travel experience or those used to staying in high-end hotels should be cautious. The rooms are quite basic, unless the weather is exceptionally good. The crew at Longtail Boat No. 36 were very friendly and I highly recommend them. Also, the rainy season is definitely worse than Krabi. There's almost no activity after 5 PM, so you'll be stuck in your hotel room. This makes choosing a hotel even more important. Those who enjoy rock climbing should go to Tonsai; those who don't should stay in Ao Nang. Don't be like me and believe xhs that they only come to Tonsai for the beautiful scenery. Coming here after staying at Pimalai was such a huge difference. Ao Nang Street is lined with shops, so convenient. My suggestion for the hotel: With such great staff and a private beach, if the facilities were more complete, the resort feel more appealing, and the room variety was a little more diverse, I'm sure business would improve!"

"+ (positive) Great and delicious breakfast, great service from the hotel staff (I.e. great support in booking of trips and activities), nice pool, quite location within a forrest but close (5 min walk) to a main road with small markets, restaurants etc.. Drive time to Ao Nang approximately 15-20 minutes. The buildings modern and well maintained. - (less positive) distance to beach c. 15 walking minutes; the hot tubs on the front porch we couldn’t actually use at there was no hot water… Overall we had a very good stay. The Loy Chalet is definitely recommended!"

"We booked this resort expecting strong inclines and steep steps in exchange for a spacious, beautiful villa in the jungle and it was completely worth the effort for the stunning views. The staff were welcoming, kind and informative.. the natural setting was beautiful, complete with wildlife and soothing nature sounds. (although not complete quiet you do hear the long tail boats but we didn't mind) We loved the huge, clean bathroom with botanical products and the comfortable bedding with the mosquito net, looked so cozy. So just be prepared for a significant climb but this is a great stay for 1-2 nights offering a serene and beautiful retreat."

"Really beautiful place. What a nice find. Our room is amazing and big and new. Great breakfast. Nice pool, but they could put more chairs there to lie on. No alcohol is served on the property but you can bring your own. Beautiful places to walk. Can also kayak in the lagoon. Many daily activities (some free). Also a free ride to Railay beach if you want. We loved our stay here. Check out is just a bit too early, 11am."

"Great place, convenient location, great, helpful staff. Small but well-kept, nice territory, own swimming pool. Clean bungalows. Night market nearby, sea 100 meters away. Lots of cafes and places selling excursions. Definitely recommend!"
