The hotel itself is fine. Nice, new-ish, not too far from fun things. The breakfast was very nice. But the service was really weird. The staff seemed like they wanted to help but didn’t know how. Simple things became big things. They couldn’t find our reservation and even after we showed them on trip.com and sent them booking numbers it just seemed too hard. They sent our “welcome fruit” on the night before we were leaving (4night stay). It was just a difficult place to get the simplest things. I hope they can look at the way they work and become a better place to stay.

So I chose a quiet Guiyuan. But after I checked in, I often chat with the boss. Roast the fire. Walk the dog and see the cat. I think this quiet fireworks are more charming. From a good nutrition breakfast every day, handmade afternoon tea to every care and greeting, from head rope to band-aid, from the warm baby sent before going out every day, to the smiley face that opens the door every time I come back, I think I can hardly describe this stay experience in words. Some small episodes of staying in the end also have good-natured flowers. I am also very sure that I will stay in Guiyuan again soon. And to be with the Yuan, everything is wonderful. PS Fuxing is indeed a lost fat hahaha

My husband and I stayed at Dali Cuusoo Guesthouse over Chinese New Year and absolutely loved our time there. When we arrived, we were met with a warm welcome by Qin Yun and Xiao Xue. These ladies couldn’t have done more to make us feel comfortable and help us find our way around! They even ran with our bags to our taxi as we were leaving in a hurry (we didn’t realise how difficult it would be to book a taxi during New Year 😅.） We really like the design of the hotel, which is open and bright. The room we stayed in was spacious and very clean. We didn’t hear a peep from other guests either. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, so everything is very accessible but the hotel isn’t right in the middle of the noise and hustle and bustle. A perfect balance. We would highly recommend the Cangshan Mountain hike. The views are spectacular. We will definitely stay at Cuusoo when we are next in Dali. Thank you Qin Yun and Xiao Xue.

Amazing value! This was so affordable and very close to ancient town. For the price, you can’t expect anything fancy. But the rooms were clean, reasonably spacious, and I was comfortable staying here. An interesting part of this hotel is that they serve a free vegetarian meal three times a day! Since this meal is free for everyone, be sure to not take more than you can eat and be sure to finish all the food of your plate. While the hotel is basic, if you’re on a budget this place is amazing! Where else could you find a cheap and clean hotel that’s close to ancient town and serves you three meals a day?
