Motel 6 Denver, CO – Downtown
2.9/5105 Reviews
I booked a week at the Motel 6 on Federal Boulevard. The room was clean and I got basically everything that I had signed up for. It was awesome that the room was cheap and they didn't require a deposit. It was also great that the location was close to everything one would need. There are tons of places to eat within a block or two and a 24 hour gas station with a store that has anything one would require on the road, If you want a sandwich or a fresh pair of socks at 4 a.m you have to walk 3 minutes to get it. Here is the real thing. On my second to last night I became extremely ill and had to call an ambulance. I was picked up by the ambulance without having the chance to pack any of my stuff up or to clean my room at all, which I normally do before I leave a Hotel. As it turned out my situation was serious and I had to have surgery right away due to a rip in my femoral artery that I got from a fall several days earlier. I wasnt able to call the Motel at all and my room was booked for 2 more days only, yet I was in the Hospital for 5 days. Upon leaving I went back to the Motel thinking that I would never see my stuff again. I went into the main office and spoke to Kristen. Within moments she had my bag for me. All of my clothes were folded nicely and my expensive headphones, phone chargers, computer, etc. were all in my bag waiting for me. She handed it over with a smile and I wasn't charged a dollar for them having to put it all together fopr me. I couldn't imagine this happening anywhere else at all!!!! I would say that if you are on a budget and staying in the area that you would be wise to stay at the Motel 6. Kristen is absolutely fantastic and the new General Manager is always available to answer any questions for you and to help you out. They even called security to come patrol the Motel the first night that I waas there because I was worried about a group of men walking around who didn't seem to belong. 10 minutes after my complaint they were gone and I felt safe for the remainder of my stay. For less than 60 dollars a night you will not get better than this Motel 6!!!!!!! TRUST ME!!!!! Very happy with every aspect of my stay. If I am ever back in Denver this is where I will be staying!!!! Chris H.

I was pleasantly surprised with the service and hospitality of the staff. Claudia was awesome from the jump allowing us to check in as early as she did. I’ve never had that happen. It worked out perfectly as we flew in early morning. Cory and Naomi were also very accommodating and pleasant to interact with. The room itself was exceptional. The corner room with all the windows is different than most I’ve stayed in and very comfortable. I will be staying again when I come to Denver.

This is the first time I have come to Denver, I booked it online, so I am not sure about the location. It is a bit far from the city and I need a taxi. The hotel is ok, similar to other hotels in the United States.

Chose this place based on its proximity to the events we were attending while in town and was not disappointed at all. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. The hotel is very secure as you must use your keycard to enter the lobby after hours and to use the elevator. They have a 24 hr fitness center which was well stocked with treadmills, a cable machine, and a good amount of dumbbells (up to 75 lbs). The treadmills look out on the street so you can people watch while you exercise. The pool is set up the same way and they provide towels for it, which is a nice feature. The area has a variety of restaurants (try TOKIO Ramen shop) that are all within walking distance. There's a King Sooper grocery store right across the street with a Starbucks inside it or a Whole Foods about two blocks down. It's just under a mile walk to Ball Arena for Nuggets or Avalanche games. I only have a couple of complaints but I'm still giving it max stars. There is some apartment construction in the lot next door. I didn't notice the noise too much but it did bother my wife a little. Not enough to keep us from coming back but just be aware. I mean, it's a big city so obviously there's going to be noise. No big deal. The other is just kind of a downside of cities but if you want to park at the hotel the valet lot is $38 a night. It's very secure, under the hotel, and you won't do better than that, just be prepared to spend a little more than expected if you do that. We love this place and will definitely return.

Very cool place in a great location. Website could have had more details about the shared space with the Milk Market and Ally. Very pricy and could have been better focused on some details. For example, housekeeping only makes the bed and changed out towels. The room needed vacuuming and we left tips, but they never did it. We were out of tissues, so they left a new box under the counter, but didn’t put it in the case on the counter. We also had trouble finding the place because there is no sign, so when we called, we were given instructions to look for a valet stand. It would have helped if they told us the landmarks book ending the hotel, since there was no sign. It was just little things like that, which for the price, just should have been crisper. I would recommend for a trendy hotel in a great location.
