We stayed in unit 302, a great location just across the road from the beach. All the resorts on the beach side of the road claim all the sand all the way from their building to the water and post signs everywhere about where you can and can't put beach chairs. They don't allow shade tents or canopies, if you want shade you have to rent from the vendor on the beach! One of the properties even put floating buoys out in the water and claimed that space for their water sports activities. When did the resorts become owners of the water! Our unit at Grand Caribbean was ok, the location was excellent, but the inside of the unit could use a deep cleaning and make over. We had a third floor unit and didn't realize there wasn't an elevator and there weren't any luggage carts. So we had to carry everything up three flights of stairs and then all week we were up and down the stairs. I guess to be positive it was good exercise. If you are disabled make sure you get a ground floor unit.
