Pros: The location of the hotel is good. This is a big hotel with many rooms. The terrace is super nice. shortcoming: 1- But my room is separated from the noise of huge equipment, I don't know what it is, it is much more noisy than the refrigerator. 2- The corridors and restaurants don't turn on the heating very much, it's very cold. 3- The bed is relatively soft 4- But there is no parking space for taxis in front Overall: 4 points The price-performance ratio of more than 2,000 is not very high, but the level of the entire British hotel is incomparable with that of Asia, and this hotel cannot be blamed.

It is still very good. The location is very good. There is a shopping mall downstairs. It is very close to the train station and is very convenient. The hotel facilities are also very new. The service attitude is very good. You can overlook the scenery on the top floor.

We were soles tired right off the plane after figuring out that I had no license and could not get my rental car :( I took it well pouted and walked away. We took the Tram to St Andrew's Square. We needed to be in The border lands in Peebles. We stopped at the Edinburgh Grand. The men at the desk couldn't have been nicer! They called a taxi service not once but twice! They held our bags and said that their was a bar upstairs we could wait at with a wonderful and sweet cocktail waitress and relax. They came and got us when he arrived. Carried our bags to the taxi for us. We will tell this story many times in the future and we will thing of them all fondly.

This is the most satisfying hotel in this trip. I hope I can stay a few more days next time. The hotel has a beautiful appearance and the rooms are large and Scottish-style. Compare the prices of five-star hotels in London that cost only one, two, and one night The Balmoral 5k per night is well worth it! It's also very close to Waverley Bridge, just on Princes Street. Nothing to say about the location

This was our second time at this hotel and we stayed for almost a week. You can't beat the location on George Street, right downtown, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. The king bed had a good mattress and pillows. There is a safe. They seem to have made upgrades since our last pre-covid stay, including air-conditioning in (all?) rooms. As you would expect in a big city, the rooms are quite small and the hotel is not exactly quiet; also depending on where your room faces. We were right by the elevator, which I generally don't like. I wonder if it's because we booked through our credit card and not direct. It seems there is sometimes a ”penalty'. The rooms are supplied daily with water, delicious cookies and snacks. You can make individual cups of drip coffee in a filter, which is much better than instant coffee but not as good as a Nespresso, IMHO. We had breakfast included and the Printing Press is just wonderful, for breakfast, any meal and later evening cocktails and whiskey. The Burr & Co is a coffee shop, also right next door, with tables outside. Love that place. The hotel has great service. We lost a suitcase and got daily support in checking on the status and changing the address on the delivery. There seemed to be a shortage on hair conditioner and we didn't have a sign for do-not-disturb the first day and got woken at 8 AM, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the hotel stay. We expect to be back.

Although it is a bit far from the city center, tram is very convenient! Next to it is the Spanish Visa Center. If you are coming from Scotland to apply for a visa, you can stay here for a while if you are not in a hurry to return~ The boss was super nice and even checked us in early when we arrived early. The food and drinks prepared are all delicious! The environment is super cozy 🥲I love it! ! If you need to stay in Aibo next time, you will stay here again! !

Extremely friendly upon arrival, check in was from 3pm but we arrived a little earlier which was no problem at all, we were shown to our room and given some information about the local area which was a nice touch. Because it was cheap our expectations were low however we was very impressed with the quality of the room. Beds are comfortable, shower was amazing too! Very quiet hotel, the road was quiet at night too which was lovely

Stayed at Park View for two nights recently, it was a lovely stay. It’s important to remember older reviews were when the hotel was under a different management then and things take time to make changes. It’s important to manage your expectations, the hotel isn’t manned, instructions for keys ect are sent and very easy to follow . Think of it as more a self contained accommodation where if needed you have emergency contacts to call. Our stay was in a lovely room, very clean and warm and with plenty of clean towels and extra tea/coffee left out for replenishments.

Contrary to some previous reviews everything was spotlessly clean on arrival and kept clean throughout our stay. There was plenty of storage space and ample tea and coffee. A lovely touch was the sherry in our room and shortbread and cake in the hall. Luke was amazing (although he was only working on 2 out of our 5 days), finding us food, getting things mended making suggestions and giving us truly personal service. However, when booking with ********** we requested a high floor with a view and also breakfast and a few days before our visit we sent a message asking how to get from the airport. The latter was not answered and we ended up with a ground floor room overlooking a washing line and ancient decking. We realise requests cannot always be met but I don't think the messages were even read. We also had a private shower room/wc across the corridor (not ensuite) which was not ideal. We struggled with checking in by entering codes and battling with very stiff locks. Not the best after a long journey...Apart from when Luke was at work we didn't see anyone. Also on our first day we expected the breakfast we had previously requested but apparently it hadn't been ordered. Luke again helped us! He also got our TV mended when we arrived but it was short lived and we had no signal for most of our stay.

This hotel is historic and grand, I highly recommend it. Was once the Harbor Master's house for the port of Leith and it truly holds all of the charm of a historic building, but with many cool upgrades! The area is really charming, just off the water and a fairly quick bus ride to all the downtown sites. Every single member of the staff from the restaurant, to housekeeping to the front desk really went out of their way to be kind, helpful and attentive. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and they truly made my visit to Edinburgh all the more. I highly recommend The Malmaison. Thank you so very much for an excellent stay.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. It is an easy check-in, all you need is your id card and a credit card for deposit. The room is quite small, but the toilet is very clean. You can get free shampoo, body wash and conditioner from the reception. Since its actually a student accommodation, you better bring your own tooth brush and paste, towel and mug. Or you can simply get these from sainsbury nearby.

It takes 0.5 hours to walk from the hotel to Waverley Railway Station. 4 households share a kitchen with new furniture, TV, sofa, stove, refrigerator, oven, microwave oven, etc. It can be used for cooking and living room. The staff at the reception desk have a good attitude. Coffee, milk, salt, pepper, shampoo, and body wash are placed at the door, and you can get them for free; hair dryers, bath towels, towels, etc. are conditional. The double bed is very narrow at 1.3 meters, the spring mattress is uneven and uncomfortable, and the bathroom is extremely small.
