Familienhotel Felsenhof

We were supposed to be put in the Theresia annex, but on Holiday Check I mistakenly stated Antonia annex, the rooms are definitely not 4 stars!! 2 at most! Outdated furniture, beds too small, risk of head injuries! We were given a room in the main building, very nice and modern, unfortunately with little space for clothes and suitcases, hardly any storage space, very nice terrace with loungers, but the worst problem is that this mezonet apar**ent is made of roof stone, the children's room upstairs cannot be ventilated, probably bad roof insulation, this attic room needs air conditioning, we froze all night downstairs with the window open and the children upstairs had no air supply, even though the heating was off the whole time! And on top of that the curtains are always closed so that the sun doesn't shine in! we had to leave a day early because of a skiing injury, so I mentioned it at reception about the bad, suffocating air upstairs in the children's room! the receptionist said no one had ever complained before and didn't believe me. Then I asked her to go into our rooms and she agreed with me and wanted to speak to the caretaker to sort it out. As we had to leave unexpectedly and unwantedly, I asked about any price concessions, but I was told it wasn't possible! we're paying around 140 euros per person per night! we weren't even offered a packed lunch for the children for the trip, or, for example, a small wellness package for us adults worth 4.90 euros, which the hotel offers, very sad for a four star hotel! the receptionist, who lists herself as the owner on Holiday Check, said to me, I want to get every euro out of it! Anyone who can do the math should do the math: 280 euros for two people, that's what the hotel got, I'd rather not count the children, and 10 euros for a wellness package as a small compensation for the unventilated room for 6 days??? Who thinks that's too much to ask for? Who would it be too much for?? Unfortunately, the owner herself thinks it's too much? And now she's threatening me in an email with a lawyer because I've written the truth, even though she went to personally make sure that I hadn't made it up, because she looked at me as if I was a liar, no one asked us the whole time during our stay whether we were happy, it was only on the day of departure and when I told the truth, that the air upstairs was stuffy and you had to freeze downstairs, suddenly it was cheeky and that I wanted to squeeze every euro out of it, and I came home with a cold 😬 Silvie

Very courteous staff and the food is really unique. We have been here before in January 2022 and I will definitely come again. The sauna area is fantastic, but they have a new regulation that only one sauna is turned on every day. I can understand the energy prices, but when it's high season, it can get tight. All in all a super nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay very much.

We would have expected more cleanliness from a 4-star children's and family hotel in Europe. Here we were a bit shocked when it came to hygiene (even without Corona). The areas for playing are very large inside and outside, but most of the equipment is broken and, above all, unfortunately, very, very dirty. The staff is friendly, the food is good, just over €6 for 1L of mineral water for dinner I find a little too expensive (if you look at the hotels and vacation trips currently being viewed). The family rooms are very large, but getting old. Baby food (Holle), bibs, cots, bicycles, prams and Kraxen can be rented, as can trailers or e-bikes. The outdoor pool is really very nice (but you shouldn't look under the sunbeds in the pool). In my opinion, the indoor pool area is much too dark and especially in the water (pool floor) very dirty and it has certainly not been cleaned for weeks or months .
