We booked this hotel as a treat for a special wedding anniversary ( which was not even mentioned/ recognised by the team at all.) . Though a pre arrival email did add in a ‘ romantic dinner’ ( no explanation why ) that we didn’t request for 100 euros ! Em… no thank you ! I travel extensively and stay in many 4/ 5 star hotels . Sadly DP did not deliver ! The most alarming thing is that I emailed my feedback directly to the hotel on the day of our departure and still have not received a response. That says to me ‘ we really don’t care ‘ …. The good… stunning building / good room ( tho small bathroom ) and some nice customer service moments, housekeeping lady was fab and front of house staff were mainly helpful and pleasant The bad… breakfast on our first day , we were ignored for 3/4 minutes, had to ask for our table to be laid . There was just one waiter . Uncleared tables , no scrambled eggs . Had to ask for more . If you wanted ‘ additional ‘ breakfast items like poached eggs / omelette this was an extra charge . A bit ridiculous when the only offer of hot food was bacon and scrambled eggs which were hard / cold or none existent !,, !! This is suppose to be 5 star…. Well it was THE worst breakfast offering/ experience I have experienced . The were no tea/ coffee facilities in the room . There no atmosphere in “ the bar “ and definitely not somewhere I would want to have dinner … actually I didn’t see anyone in bar / restaurant apart from breakfast time. I wish you could have done much better DP …you definitely under delivered in terms of our customer experience and your lack of response says it all . We loved Florence and will definitely return to the city but will not be returning to Dimora Palanca or recommending it .

The hotel is located on the banks of the Arno River. The main entrance of the hotel is directly opposite the French consulate. There is a small square in front of the hotel. You can temporarily park your car temporarily and open small markets on weekends. Five minutes walk along the river bank is Uffizi Gallery, Old Bridge! The window opened in the room is directly opposite the Baihua Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, and the church can be opened to the full view of the church. The left hand old bridge and the right hand Holy Trinity Bridge, the view is excellent! The bedding is comfortable, the room area is relatively large in Italy, classical and luxurious. The only dissatisfaction was that the booking fee was clearly the money for the river view room, but the front desk said that the reservation was only for a superior room. But polite and old-fashioned at the same time, because I emphasized that if it was n’t for the river view room, there would be no meaning to live here. The front desk said that I was sorry the room was full, and I could upgrade to the river view room on the balcony of the administrative floor if I added 200 euros. After expressing dissatisfaction, I asked to wait at the front desk for a while, but also forced them to check the room again, and finally got this river-view room without replenishment! I don't know if this is the case, it is Ctrip or the hotel routine.

I am not writing this type of reviews often, but unfortunately this time I have to in order to reflect the reality about this hotel. Prior to this hotel we stayed at another hotel in Rome also 4-star that we really enjoyed (price level and distance from city center was similar). Firstly, I would like to point out that this hotel, even though it has 4 stars, cannot be considered to be a European-level 4-star hotel at all, at maximum a refurbished 3-star hotel. Given the price and its location, I would like to tell you straight, it is quite expensive for what you get, especially given the further circumstances described below. Secondly, I have not read many negative reviews regarding the noise level, but would like to shed some light on that. Even though we asked for a quiet room, we got the room facing the hotel parking and front road. I cannot say that there was a lot of noise from the road, but you could definitely hear cars from the road. But the biggest problem is the noise insultaion, or more precisely its complete absence. We could hear our neighbours talking in the other room like they were in our room. Our neighbours were awake until late night and we could hear them receiving messages while chatting on the phone and it seemed like the phone was vibrating each time near your ear. There was also noise from outside and other neighbours (it was partially not clear where it was coming from), so overall an awful experience also given the fact that each room has roller blinds and some people are using them at night and each time you can hear the mechanism working (it is quite loud). When people flush in other rooms, it sounds like it starts raining heavily. To sum up, insulation is really bad. Thirdly, the room was furbished at the level of refurbished 3-star hotel, the old hairdriers from the 20th century, only one card key, thus you cannot leave the AC on when you leave the room. Room was not ventilated at all once we arrived, so it was very hot to sleep and smell was not very pleasant. Breakfast at the level of 3-star hotel maximum and they do not let people finish their breakfast telling at 9:55am that you have to leave in 5 minutes since the breakfast time ends at 10am. As a cherry on the tart, when we were leaving we were told that the water in the room was not complimentary when we arrived, even though we did not found anywhere information with pricing of water in the room. When I asked where we could find price list for water in the room, as I belive it should be clearly placed in a visible spot, the person at reception firstly insulted us in Italian (not knowing that we speak Italian) and then just answered arrogantly ”it is in the room”, showing that he does not want to speak with us. Unbelievable and unacceptable behaviour from staff, you are paying them for being treated in such a manner... Overall, I understand that Florence is an expensive and crowded city, but in this instance when we unfortunately had only extremely negativ

Stayed at YellowSquare Florence for 2 nights and had a fun time! Hostel was very social and had activities every day! We arrived before check-in and luggage storage was free which was different among many other hostels we stayed in. Staff was super nice and remembered me by name! There was a rooftop pool which was super fun and clean, so definitely bring a swimsuit if you’re coming during the warmer months! Rooms and showers were clean and spacious and not too far of a walk from city center. Definitely recommend staying here!

Great hotel! This hotel doesn’t have many reviews however we really enjoyed staying here. It’s a great location, ten minutes walk from the train station and just a short walk to the centre of Florence. It’s local, the room was quiet and really clean bedroom/ toilet. Easy check in too.

The hotel is old, and the interior of the room is not too high, there are too many platform steps, there are mosquitoes sleeping at night, there is no free parking space, the hotel parking space is 18 Euros a day, and in addition to the fees paid on Ctrip, there is another 8 Euro tax. This is the hotel with the highest tax rate I have ever lived. But fortunately, there is a good free breakfast to eat.

The room we chose is Deluxe Suite. The room is large, beautifully decorated and full of literary and artistic colors. (It was only after I found that each room had different themes, and ours was Da Vinci!) The design was very thoughtful, and every piece of furniture was full of retro flavor, which I admired. The bathroom is also very clean and the lighting is thoughtful. The corridor outside the room is also covered with paintings and various classical furnishings, such as the combing of jujube red flannelette. Breakfast can be eaten indoor or on the rooftop, and breakfast is eaten in the blue sky. There are also many food choices. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. We arrived a little earlier than the earliest check-in time on the following day, and the staff immediately asked the cleaning sister to clean the room as soon as possible, so that we can check in as soon as possible. There are bus stops and subway stations near the hotel and you can travel to the city center in half an hour. The hotel is reasonably priced and definitely worth the fare. Overall, we are very satisfied with everything about the hotel. Although it does not have a lift, don't worry, the hotel has only two floors and more luggage can be handled. Two photos are attached, which is much better than the real picture.

Adequate and nothing more. Pros: . building was somewhat charming . room was clean and equipped with basic needs . breakfast was normal Cons: . owners/operators show unprofessional conduct. While we did arrive early due to tour operator scheduling which was outside of our control, there is no reason to be disrespectful and show frustration towards guests. We were caught between booked transfer to hotels and the hotel owner/operators. Please show professional behaviour towards guests/clients and solve issues with tour operators in the background. . refused access to bathroom facilities before check-in, was told: ”This is not our problem!” . 1 bed was extremely noisy/squeaky making it difficult to sleep . asked for toilet paper in the hall to cleaning staff and was told to ”come and get it!” . the AC was turned off when we were away from the room. We set the temperature at a reasonable 26/27 degrees C just to keep the humidity away as it was 40 degrees C with humidex outside. The owner/operators just switch off the AC and you get to come back to a room at 30/31 degrees C. If there is such a crisis in electricity in Italy due to geo-political issues why is this not done in other hotels and cities in Italy. More so, why are the shops in Florence's historical center running AC with the doors open? Thank you but I will not be staying at your hotel.

Clean hotel, there is a refrigerator and a heater in the room, there is always hot water, and it is cleaned every day. There is a tram stop near the hotel to the city centre (2 stops). Disadvantages.... We warned that we would arrive at the hotel at 20:30 (the front desk is open until 20:00) and were told that they would wait for us... Finally, we arrived, no one answered, and their phone number was already Disconnected... After they answered about an hour, a restaurant worker arrived and settled us.
