Highwinds Bed & Breakfast

Great views of Ben Nevis (when it's not covered with clouds), outstanding breakfast, very comfortable bed, spotlessly clean throughout, extremely friendly staff, Liz was a great help when we asked about places to eat for the night we arrived & parking in town for our Jacobite steam train trip, plenty of onsite parking at the B&B.

We had a lovely stay at Highwinds. Really couldn't ask for more from the B&B or from Liz & Kenny. From the warm welcome, to the spacious, bright and well appointed bedroom (king-size for us). The bathroom was a generous size and the facilities are top notch. Breakfast options are fresh and plentiful and they did more than enough to accommodate food intolerances. The B&B is nicely situated a couple of miles out of Fort William and easily accessible for the town and other local restaurants and the canal for walks (if the mountains have taken their toll)! It was a shame to leave but we had a great few days and wholeheartedly recommend Highwinds.

· The bedroom was large well equipped and comfortable, the en-suite bathroom was of a high standard and the shower was powerful. It was very very clean and good Covid principles were applied in the property, both in terms of cleanliness and safe personal protocols (face coverings and social distancing). Liz and Kenny were friendly personable hosts and made us feel at home and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The house is furnished to a high standard and we could come and go as we wanted. It is in a quiet location a couple of miles from Fort William and overlooks farmland and good views of Ben Nevis. There was a wide choice for breakfast and like most places needs to be ordered the previous evening, this is not a problem. It was great to have fresh fruit and a freshly cooked breakfast, the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were very tasty as were the other choices we made. Liz was helpful with advice regarding places to visit and of local walks. We really enjoyed staying here, thank you Liz and Kenny

The hospitality from Liz and Kenny was second to none and made you very welcome and at ease. They were very friendly and answered any questions about places to visit or eat. This B&B is in a prime location for spectacular scenary and walks. The breakfast was also fantastic and set us up for a day of visiting. Would highly recommend this B&B and wouldn't hesitate to return.

It is impossible to put into words , just how fantastic Liz and Kenny's accomodation is at Highwinds. The rooms are big ,and very comfortable ,and everything so immaculately clean. The breakfast is superb with all just as you wish( and so much of it). Both Liz and Kenny, just cannot do enough to make your stay anything better than you could ever wish for. Top Mark's all round. Will definitely go back if in area again

This bed and breakfast is outstanding. Our hosts Liz and Kenny were warm and welcoming, and couldn’t do enough to ensure our comfort and wellbeing. Our room was immaculately clean, fresh and modern and tastefully furnished. Breakfast choice was very good with lovely fresh fruit , yoghurt and croissants as well as a good choice of cooked breakfasts. We had a really lovely stay here, and will definitely return. This B&B deserves 10 stars. It’s beautiful presented and modern with fantastic views. The owner Liz can’t do enough. We missed breakfast as , our event started early, she made us all a pack lunch. I would highly recommend people stay here whilst visiting Fort William.

My husband and have travelled all over Europe and in the UK we always left reviews about our experiences but this one is definitely the winner! It’s just perfect the location, the hosts, the cleanliness, the breakfast (for me the porridge) this is a gem we both loved it THANK YOU LIZ AND KENNY
