Contrary to what some pictures might show, the rooms are not in the castle but in an annexe which was a big disappointment to us as we chose between this hotel and another one where the rooms indeed are located in the main building. You are not even allowed to access the castle as a guest. Furthermore, our room had an extremely strange layout that offered little to no privacy. And, despite being the only people in the hotel for the better part of our second day, the staff decided to do some non-urgent maintenance in our room during the few hours of the day that we actually spent in our room to plan for the remainder of our trip. On a positive note, the staff was very kind and helpful throughout our stay.

A unique place, outside of the crurent stress. The Castle is beautiful and mysterious, we enjoyed 5 days there in a calm and relaxing environment. The swimming pool was great and fresh and we could enjoy our time. The property has also great wine

We stayed for three nights as part of our first stop through northern Italy. We had a great experience touring the castle, learning about the history & wine (the tour is well worth it!), and eating at the restaurant. The breakfast buffet is INCREDIBLE with a huge variety of meticulously laid out options. We also had a 3 course dinner with traditional Agnolotti that was superb. Our room was the gli-scacchi, which was quaint and comfortable. It was fun to take a dip in the pool as well! The service was great, and they did an amazing job catering to us as English speakers with very limited Italian. Alessandro was an amazing host!

The Food in the restaurant is top notch (Kathy (the sous-chef)) really knows what she is talking about. The food is mostly homemade and handpicked. I wanted to have a salad for lunch - normally this was not on the menu, however, Kathy made it possible. The Suite was beautifully decorated and I felt so at home the whole time I was there. Antonella was really friendly and had such good vibes. The whole place is a magical oasis. Alessandro and Isabella were also very kind and friendly. If you really need a break and some time off - this is the place. I'm a manager in a five star hotel in switzerland and the hospitality is top notch! 100% coming back.

This is an amazing place. We stayed in the apartment and it was two bedrooms, two baths and had two fireplaces with plenty of wood to burn - wonderful as it really added to the ambiance. This is at the top of a hill in Gabiano and you are literally staying on the castle compound. It is lovely to walk around the property and a wine tasting and tour were included which was so much fun and we enjoyed the wines as well. Beautiful breakfast room with incredible views of the rolling hills and vineyards, many selections and everyone so friendly. Appreciated that they had many selections of English speaking TV channels and good WIFI. Only negative I can think of is that the power outlets next to the bed shut off when you turned the lights out. Requires some planning staying here - it is remote so you are not near restaurants and the restaurant around are not open every day and the hours are very limited. Would absolutely come here again

Beautiful romantic rooms. There really wasn't much to exploring the grounds. The on site restaurant is nice, but I thought the inexpensive ingredients elevated to gourmet standards just didn't work for me.

Liked · The view and the background is fascinating. As well as the whole atmosphere in the surroundings. The rooms are modern and clean, the food in the restaurant - delicious. The staff is very friendly and hospital, you can see that they are doing their best. Disliked · First of all, you will not be staying in the castle itself. The castle is private and closed to visitors. The internet connection is very bad, we could barely use our phones (where 4G is also not that great). The isolation in the rooms is not existent. You can hear everyone on the other side of the walls. Would definitely recommend the management to think about isolating the doors. The saddest thing, is when you see Somelje bringing you your luggage, property manager - cleaning the tables, everyone doing 6 jobs instead of their own. It really affects the quality of the service, as well as the communication between the staff. We reserved picnic basket one day ahead - received information that the chef is too busy to prepare one. Luckily the manager managed to find two sandwiches, but hey - this is not a 4 star service. Transportation - not found. We came to the nearby city with a train, which did not have a taxi service. We called the hotel but were told that they cannot help us. We asked locals to drive us there.. sad, that the hotel did not even tried to find a solution and help their guests. Overall - management needs to think about the staff, their quantity and service quality. They must think about training them in order to improve the inner communication and the overall view of the property - which was seen as not professional. The property does not even have phones in between different facilities - staff has to walk to the rooms to provide information. Quite sad. A lot of potential, but sadly - long way to go. If the management takes proper attention - this hotel has a lot of perspectives to become what it seems from the first sight - a good quality 4 star hotel.
