Sunland Halong Hotel and Restaurant

This is a modern and very well kept hotel about a 10 to 15 minutes walk to the beach. My room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful and accommodating, but the kitchen staff seemed a bit rude. It's ok that they don't speak English, but every time someone approaches them, they get an angry look on their face and just run away. The free breakfast was quite good, but both days that I was there, it was not ready when they opened for breakfast. The first day, they were still putting food out 45 minutes after they opened. The 2nd day, it was only about 20 minutes after. The tv didn't work, and my A/C was stuck in the on position...I couldn't get the remote to work, and it was due to dead batteries but when I told them about it on the first night, nothing was done, so I was a bit cold as I couldn't even change the temperature. I would probably stay again.

It was a great hotel. I arrived halong bay in the morning and left my suitcase at the hotel. Then i came back around 2pm and i had to wait about an hour to check in until the cleaning is done. When i checked in it was on 3rd floor with two single beds, window facing a wall of another building. Since i booked a queen bed room i asked to change the room and they did. She said it is because the room that i wanted is not cleaned yet, so i had to wait another 30 minutes. Two days of my stay there was great and smooth. They had decent buffet breakfast. Receptionist suggested me a best cruise company. In the morning i check out and left my suitcase until i finish breakfast and bus comes and pick me up to Ninh Binh. Suddenly, the bus company hurried my and i just straight away jumped into the car and forgot my suitcase at the reception and bus company didn’t let me go back to the hotel although it was only 5 mins drive, as there are about 10 travelers already there and ready to depart. Thus, bus company offered me to send my suitcase with the next van. They transported my suitcase to my hotel in Ninh Binh. I paid 200k for that. Hotel was perfect yet there was a bit of cleanness things. For instance, there was no shampoo and body wash, instead two handsoaps in the shower and 1 opened yet not used toothbrush while there are 2 unopened toothbrushes in the toilet. Found some long hairs on the chair. It is probably because i was waiting, so they did the cleaning incomplete.

This is a clean and beautiful hotel. the location is perfect, it is near everything you need. very friendly and kind workers. good English abilities. i will book again for sure.

Beautiful hotel close to the beach. It has jacuzzi and the stay was absolutely amazing. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Couldn’t believe it was so cheap and so luxurious
